Does anyone know what's happening regarding the invest in Africa that safc got involved in? My understanding was that one of the reasons we got involved was to boost safc shirt revenue. How are we getting on with that? Sold any yet?

Invest in Africa was set up bu Tullow Oil to improve their very dodgy image. No other company would invest in the fund and Sunderland became concerned about bad publicity when Tullow were taken to court in Uganda on bribery and environmental damage charges. Both parties walked away from the deal which was supposed to be worth £20 million a season - that's 20 times what Tombola was worth.

Bidvest are also an African company but you'd have to sell a lot of shirts to make £20 million.
