I just read that we're linked with Spurs' Michael Dawson. Could this be the surprise?

I would certainly settle for Dawson plus Rodwell and Cavani, but Borini would be an excellent bonus! Even though the squad would still be 3 or 4 players short,we would be in much better shpae than the beginning of last season, and could probably get through to January.

Don't rate Dawson. Works hard but very limited; always lunging because he can't get to the ball in time.
