So that would be Brown in the bag, Coates no more in the bag than Borini was at this point last year, and a kitty we hope will stretch to three quality players- if we can find three who will come here. Hhmmm, not exactly a jackpot.

Dick's return was a positive outcome, if only because we have as much trouble attracting managers on the up as we do players, and of course all sorts of things may be happening behind the scenes. But one of the problems here is that players are reluctant to come to a side that perennially struggles. Some indication that there really has been a change in ambitions would help; Brown's re-signing simply underlines what a comfortable place this has become for those on the way down, making their pension plans.

the Problem is as I've said MANY times is LEE CONGERTON! this guy doesn't go after the quality players others do!. its bargain basement again and giving Wes Brown another contract is indicative of this club negative un ambitious attitude . looks like another relegation battle!

The problem again is the wage bill, unless short manages to get us a ton more advertising since we lost money again this year & loans are getting silly for a club our size. We're going to be in this position year in year out.

Brandon I agree with most of what you said, but I was trying to be ironic,at the end of last season I said(ankle tapper) that unless there was to be massive changes at all levels we will continue to struggle, nothing I've seen or heard has made me change my mind, just hope we are not having the same conversation this time next year.

So Lee Congerton worked his cahoona's off getting Dick back bobstokoe1973 Congerton knew what Dicks demands were on him signing a new contract therefor it is not a case of Congerton signing players but a joint effort and no we will not be in a relegation battle KTF

I hope you are right! as Dick said we need 6 quality players so ill reserve judgment till the start of the new season! i'm still not sure about Congerton and i'm not alone in thinking that! I hope iam wrong and we bring in some quality players!

The wage bill will be sorted Dick will be wafting his genitals about and screaming for Short to be long in numbers as far as money is concerned, big players from around the world want to play in the Smoke so we have to look at good kids or the lesser known players that may have escaped the googly eyes of the big clubs I think Congerton can do this, what a weight he has on his back but with the help of a top international manager big Dick I think we can plunge into the market for the best if not the most known players around the world
