Latest I've HEARD on borini, not sure how reliable
Apparently he's on the transfer list, juventus have joined us in race to sign him, and that he's taken a knock in the roma game.
Anyone to expand, and thoughts on this?

Thomas34SAFC

1.) Poyet has said he is worried that he's lost out on him

2.) I heard yesterday personally terms have been agreed and Borini won't move until he gets a payment off Liverpool for what I do not know

3.) Wouldn't be surprised if that's the case and to be honest I don't blame him. Liverpool are basically pushing him through the exit door and picking up a massive wedge at the same time.

Not a rumour, just a thought, but sometimes I wish we still had malbranque and zenden, holding that midfield together like glue

1.) Same here : (

I don't think it would matter who we had in midfield- the back four are weaker than they were last year, when they conceded more goals than anyone bar the relegated sides and Villa. Until we stop leaking soft goals we will struggle no matter who is playing front of them. If we don't sign at least one experienced CB (preferably two!) and another FB we will be bottom at Christmas again. Cannot understand Poyet's priorities- supposedly Alonso and Williams were two of three key targets and we got neither, and all we have replaced them with is VA, who has potential but does not solve the problem. Meanwhile we are still dithering over Bonini and linked with every winger available and many who are not. Watching MoD, ourselves and West Brom looked the two poorest sides in the league- not much time left to improve things!

On the wickham situation, poyet has said that wickham will be sold if he doesn't sign a new contract, because he doesn't want to risk losing him on a free. If we get a replacement, I'm not sure this would be too bad, as fletcher is still good cover for him, although he is extremely injury prone. Thoughts on replacements anyone, I know there is sow and borini, anyone you think would fit in well?

Thomas34SAFC

1.) We can't afford to lose him. That would mean we would need 5 players, not 4. Unless players are deemed dead weight (Afie, Graham, Diakite) then I think the club should do what they can to keep them. Plus, I've always heard Connor is happy at SAFC.

I think the behaviour problems were just because moyes didn't like the fact he was with his daughter. I wonder where sunderland have seen that before
