If results go our way next week and we win we can go up to 12th
Which just goes to show how tight it is in the bottom half of the table, so if we gunna criticise our team, might aswell criticise the 5 teams above us

Pray to the footballing god that for once, everything goes our way

Goodluck with that.

Your going to finish 4th bottom at best so keep your fingers crossed Wigan don't win Tuesday night or you are certainly down.

That team that played yesterday would struggle in the championship. When we needed a cup winning performance, they put in a non league performance. the quality of football was abysmal. Didn't think one man could make such a difference to a team, but sess creativity is sadly missing. spurs will have a field day with us. Di canio sad we shouln't depend on other teams. WE ARE NOW.
Agree0
Disagree0
Anything can happen
We could just nick a great win against spurs
This is what I don't like about our fans, they think the players are brilliant and are heroes when we win (Newcastle and Everton) but when they lose or draw, they are called worse than muck and don't deserve to even play in the championship
Agree0
Disagree0
Ok, I know what you mean about our fans, but you must realise that we are always let down by our team, and when we get a couple of good wins we tend to go overboard and blow the trumpet. We have had a terrible season, I blame the overpaid players, we cast them as heroes but in reality they are not good enough for our club. Hope our new manager can weed them out.

Just a thought but there's a few QPR players I wudnt mind seeing at sol next season. That taarabt looks very likely to leave, Remy is not a championship player and samba's price may be down a bit. Is there any relegated players you'd like to come in Ed? {Ed024's Note - A few months ago I would have said Samba but he hasn't performed for QPR - that said we need a Centre Back to join the OAP's we have, I'd like to see Onouha back, Taarabt is very inconsistent, would go for Pogrebynak before Taarabt. If Migs goes we could do worse than Green. I can see Remy leaving but staying in London. We desperatley need forward cover - Zamora is similar to Graham but for the right price could do a job.}

Ed I think all those players you mentioned are poor there must be a lot better players around than that lot {Ed024's Note - Who do suggest who is better and would come ?}

Why won't they? They turned over City. What was that saying? Bricking it. Oh how the tables have turned. SMB
Agree0

Why won't we get something at spurs in that case? SGB, we safe! and you SGBS know it!
Agree0
Disagree0
Your not safe and we know it. Keep kidding yourselves. Wigan turn city over and see if you still think that. {Ed024's Note - City ? Is that Arsenal City or Aston Villa City ? }
Agree0
Disagree0
Something at Spurs? You been banging your drums about turning Villa, Stoke and Southampton over for the last 2 weeks. How did work out for you? Now your getting something at Bale, who are chasing CL. Give your head a shake.
Agree0
Disagree0
I think we'll win against spurs
Side note: Di Canio has said that if we stay up there will be a mass clear out
I think we should target
Richards, Lescott, Roberge, rose, mcCarthy, Sinclair, Gudietti, finnbogason
Agree0
Disagree0
Another example is you lot saying your going to turn us over. How did that go again?
Agree0
Disagree0
Pardew still there next season that's good enough to bang any drum
Agree0

Theres no excuse for that appaling gutless performance! even if we stay up itll be 4th bottom and that is TOTTALLY unacceptable!
Agree0

And the Mags can't gloat either !their season has been crap aswell!
Agree0

We have as much chance as getting something against Spurs as the Toon not sacking Pardew!

Newcastle won't sack pardew now

Dont you know that the ref (who doesn't like north east clubs) gave the penalty. Not our fault that their defence messed up for the second goal and, yet again we had a good goal chalked off. Give your head a shake.
Agree0

Put your dummy back in. You banged on constantly how Newcastle were going down, how you would beat villa, Stoke and Southampton. How did that work out for you? You might go down yourselves. Once again you will finish in our shadow and we even gave you a chance with the derby.
Agree0

I suppose Pratdew is now a hero and deserves an extension to his contract.
Tee hee.

Gave us a chance in the derby? No mate your frenchies surrendered as they always do

5. 1. Anyone can write a score down. Pardew is no hero the quicker he is gone the better. How is the new messiah working out for you?

So now it is down to three- and if Wigan fail to beat Arsenal we would be safe. But if they do beat Arsenal, they could well beat Villa and then we would need something from the Spurs game. But in all honesty we have been one of the worst teams in the division all season- and were second best again today. We have had two opportunities at home now against teams that are also struggling and we could not perform against either. This shower will be very fortunate if they are able to hang onto Premier status, and there is no doubt that whether we finish above them or not Wigan have better players, play better football and fight much harder for the team. This is the worst Sunderland squad I can remember- poorly prepared, no tactics, poorly motivated for most of the season. Their performances over the season have been shameful, and that the club can pay £50 million plus in wages and be in this position is scandalous. We need change from top to bottom, and given the inept managers he has selected and the slowness with which he responds to unacceptable standards on and off the pitch, Short needs to go too. In fact, maybe he needs to go first because apart from Tony Fernandez (they should form a club themselves) I can't think of anyone who has squandered more money to less effect. A shambles all year, and shambolic to the end. Shame on you players, you are not fit to clean Jimmy Montgomery's boots!

Agree with most of your post, but I disagree totally with your pop at Ellis Short. All the managers were Quinnies recommendations apart from Paolo.

well that's it the mags are safe, we will be after Tuesday, there's always something good comes out of something bad Alan pardew will still be manager next season just heard him interviewed, we were the biggest club in relegation fight, we had loads of injuries, not a mention of been an overrated manager who is clueless so that's a positive for me.

If Wigan turn Arsenal over then Sunderland are relegated. A massive game like this today and when the team needed the supporters behind them, loads of empty seats AND worse of all fans leaving early. what's that all about? Its Sunderland or Wigan, squeaky bum time.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Qpr had nowt to play for
Agree0

Sorry, but your wrong, Sunderland have 4 points more than Wigan, if they beat Arsenal they are still below us, you are maybe a tad overexcited. {Ed024's Note - I think the first poster is assuming Wigan beat Villa in the their last game and Sunderland lose to Spurs.}
Agree0
Disagree0
SGBS trying to be funny, you only beat QPR because bosingwa felt sorry for you, who is to say we won't get anything at spurs eh? done it before! anything can happen in football loser!
Agree0

If you play like you did against southampton today then bale will destroy you. they still have champions league to play for.
Agree0

Yes but well get nothing against Spurs!
Agree0

Arsenal have champions league to play for as well spurs was a good result today now arsenal must win both games
Agree0

All this bitching and forecasting is completely meaningless. Both teams have been s*** this whole season, and both clubs need to get cracking in the transfer market, both ins and outs. We've survived by the skin of our teeth, you lot have a few days of worry ahead of you, but neither set of fans is in any position to gloat.

With the amount of players out, and some of the players you fielded (not good enough) a point is a decent result. Southampton have played well recently.
Think we will both be safe but you have more to worry about.
Mag in peace. {Ed024's Note - NUFC are safe - due to Villa playing at Wigan last game of season - they both cant get 3 points.}
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Mags got their result and we got a point off a decent team, we could of lost that, so not the end of the world
Agree0

Point off a decent team? you are joking pal they were in the championship last year. embarrassing display
Agree0

They have beating man city, liverpool and city at home thet are decent
Agree0

They weren't in the championship last season. You must be one of those fans who come out when things are going good. You can climb back into your hole now that relegation is on the cards. (QPR played City last games of last season)

G0RDI3S WISHFUL THINKING US GETTING RELEGATED THEY MUST BE AFRAID OF GETTING BEAT 0-3 AT HOME AGAIN!

At least you can cling to your derby win. Be along time for the next one. Forgot how many we have over you. 5. 1 springs to mind though.

Think we're safe now. Not the best of games today but its a point. Can't see wigan beating arsenal Tuesday but I won't be able to watch it. Safc93 {Ed024's Note - SAFC 20/1 to be relegated ...it feels a lot closer than that, especially the way Wigan played against Man City.}

Very poor half first performance - outthought, outplayed, outfought. Shapeless as when O'Neill was here. Get Vaughan on in the middle, Johnson on left and Larsson on right. McClean completely ineffective, don't wait till we are behind to change a formation that is not working!
Truth is if this is the best we can do in a must-win game at home against fellow strugglers, neither these players nor the manager deserve to be in the Premiership. {Ed024's Note - PDC must be listening ...Maclean off and Big Connor on}
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Point. Wigan must win both games.

We were terrible full stop, goal out of nothing so the point was valuable, we will stay up then get rid of the rubbish that's here we players that are comfortable with the ball mind you mreson on tv says even Man United would struggle with key players out ie fletcher and sess (who is the only creative players we have )

Can't believe Bardsley is in the team- maybe Paulo should stop prancing about on the touchline and watch the games; Bardsley has been abysmal all season and at Villa a sack of potatoes would have been more useful in defence.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
45 minutes in and we look second best all over the park.

Bardsley scored
Agree0
Disagree0
If he had scored six this season he would still owe us for the goals he gives away. When a player is patently not good enough, you have to get rid of him, not keep giving him chances because of the odd rare contribution. A fullback has to be able to defend, and get up and down the pitch to press- he can't do either.
