Has anyone noticed that former Sunderland manager Terry Butcher is now top of the SPL with micro-budget Inverness. Quite an acheivement but in my opinion he's our second worst manager after McMenamy. Did anyone spot any signs of latent talent when he was at Sunderland?

He was the worst centre half too mate. let's be honest though he's probably got some good backroom staff propping him up just like the players around him propped up most of his career, managing up there is nothin like here though and he still has the pull from rangers days.

Maybe Howard Wilkinson should manage in Scotland then.

Am sick of fans on here been so negative about pd sayin he nearly bankrupt swindon! How the hell is he in charge of the money at swindon? All his job was to get results which he did and made swindon a lot better side. But why are people talking about his time there! He has had 4 games with a full new team to gel, and if you ask me the way we have played we have deserved more out the games and our football is a lot better than previous we look more going forward. So just get behind pd we will come good our first win will come this weekend then its all go from there.

Keep everything cross I can't see you lot beating WBA. Not the way you lot are shipping goals.

Who gives a sh*t what happened at Swindon.
He kept us out of the Championship.
He has strengthened the squad significantly at very little net cost.
All of the signings are not going to make it, but I am very happy with the majority.
I am confident that things will come together soon.
There does seem to be an element determined to see him fail and some of these are so called Sunderland fans.

Well said mate, it will come good and it is showing signs of coming good

Excuses, Excuses.
What is going on at Sunderland sounds like a 'cult of personality. '
You should not need to be apologists for your manager.
Maybe you like losing but in spirited fashion, if that floats your boat, you have the right man at the helm.

Typical mag (post above) taking the moral high ground after 2 half decent results! They'll probably start denying the ashley out campaign existed if it continues.

It will only take a draw for them to start
saying what a great manager he is, they havnt got a clue.

You deluded sunderland fans can't talk, you always wanted MON out but you beat city 1-0 out of pure luck and you think he's the messiah. You deserve to be bottom of the PL, and you have not "significantly" strengthened at the stadium of blight. PDC is probs one of the worst managers in the league atm.

They call us deluded?
Wow, even your players are as bad as you lot, looks like Ben Arfa is going to win the Ballon D'or, this is possible when you are one of Newcastle's a. k. a "massive team"s superstars

Well I think Newcastle could be pushing for a top 6 finish lads the start of this season has all the hallmarks of the 5th placed finish. absolutely crap at man city but remember what they said after that game it will take a good team to beat city, home to whu never had a shot on target in the whole game yet still scraped a point, home to Fulham absolutely abysmal fans booing them and cabaye at half time then a goal was it good or lucky on the day good other times it could have ended up in row 46, finally a deserved win at a poor villa side all the trade marks of the 2011-12 season lads its frightening to think it might happen again. all depends on weather the luck continues or deserts them in which case I think it could be a bottom 6 finish.

This mag won't try denying anything. I ve said it before I want Ashley out and his puppet JK. He takes no credit for our current form.

It's called ambition. Having a player who believes in himself is not a bad thing. If he hadn't been hampered by injury he would have been rubbing shoulders with the superstars by now.

You mean he would be playing for a different club.

{Ed007's Note - There aren't many rumours this time of year buddy. So 99% of posts go onto the 'banter' page. If anything is posted as a reply to a rumour it will be there though. If you guys don't send stuff in we can't post it.}
