well it shows what a little bit of fan power can do just look at the skunks up the road demonstration after demonstration against ashley and he has realised he needs to please the people who really matter the fans and they have spent the money we were reported to have for transfers do you think they have broken into our bank account and stolen our transfer kitty or what ed as they are putting our club to shame mate

{Ed001's Note - they make huge profits and their players are not paid as highly as Sunderland's. If you could sort out the wage bill, then you would be in a much better position. It doesn't help that the manager changes every season, as each managers requires paying off.}

Gary,fan power may indeed have had some effect at the Toon,but I think player power is effecting our club.Seemingly "senior players" requested the reinstatement of JOS back in the team at the meeting last sunday morning.It was obvious some players downed tools in the opening two matches which makes me believe player power is still alive and kicking at this club.I hope Dick can do what previous managers failed to do and that is, get them out of the club.

Chris how do you expect DA to get them out the club when no one wants them? paying off their contracts would cost quite a bit so unfortunately they will see out their contracts. tbh if brown got an extra year this summer oshea might well get an extension when his runs out.

Is it just me who thinks we should hijack clerics attempt to get michu who wants away from Swansea and is proven to score in the premier league

The shambolic management continues- lack of positive action to improve squad unsettles Giacchierini- probably the most talented midfielder we have though for some reason rarely played. When he joins Wickham- who we saw on Saturday can trouble the best defences if he is played in the centre and given some service- two of our better palyers will have gone, while Brown, O'Shea, Jones, Bridcutt, Buckley etc continue to be paid handsomely while we sink like a stone. I suppose that we can't blame Dick , who is not in charge of transfer policy, but at the same time we have seen that he used up all his magic dust last season. Congestion and Short have presided over the demise of a once proud club, now the rudderless 'joke' of the Premier League.

While it's true that I'd personally sell o'shae, brown, cattermole, johnson(if he doesn't go down & get his contract cancelled) as well as graham & fletcher as well as a few of the ones stuck in the reserves who were bought and just not good enough. There's nobody in their right mind who would buy them, hence what exactly do you expect them to do? Paying off all their contracts would run 40mil or so in the end. All hail a bunch of idiotic managers throwing money at mercs & hasbeens, now we're stuck till they're gone.

agree with wyndrusher no one wants our players as they are over paid old and crap. I don't believe there ever was a transfer kitty available which is why we sold wickham as he is young and has value because of it. going down this season boys no great escape and no hope. would love to be wrong

To be fair the kitty maybe there, just we can't pay them till the wage bill is sorted.
