Whilst my last post was in jest there is one underlying problem at this club. LOOK NO FURTHER THAN THE BOARD.
We have a knee-jerk chairman and directors who don't have the first idea of running a football club.
They have completely lost focus and rather than making sure the football side takes priority they fly half way around the world to tie up yet another business partner who means absolutely nothing to the average fan. The core business [football] is now a necessary evil to lying in bed next to some African company.
But fear not my fellow Sunderland fan! Hold your head high and shout from the rooftops that whilst we fall headlong into League 1 [and the rate we are going it will be within three years] SAFC can put a hell of a summer concert on.

well i'm gutted with the result and performance today but not surprised. poyet must have trusted the word of kevin ball to pick this team today as he hasn't had time to look at what his got to choose from. he should have walked the streets of sunderland and asked the fans what they think about the people masquerading as sunderland players the same ones who finished 4th bottom last season. bardsley, Vaughan, Johnson. Larsson. o'shea. Cattermole and cuellar. these lads were lucky last season but I fear they won't be this season and unless poyet sees these players are not premiership class then we are doomed. hopefully one good thing will come from the result today and that is most of the players I have mentioned won't wear a sunderland shirt again. by the way I don't like saying this but we have no chance next week with these players.

How unusual a mistake at the back and the same old frailties come flooding back! Bardsley are you for real playing him after what he did! His mistake for first goal! Slower in the second half! Not on there game at all?? Same old core of players! Surely the best form of defence is to attack to relieve pressure but then to be organised and tight at the back! I'm absolutely gutted! I feel for Gus but haway that was not acceptable in the second half! Three players not played much football this season! Clearly not match fit? Why! I know it's only one game but it doesn't look good! From what I've seen today I'm seriously worried! Clearly Gus has been hoodwinked by passion and determination from certain players in training! But surely not making mistakes playing simple descent football is what we need! Whilst I agree we need passion blood guts and all that rubbish but it's all got to be balanced! I'm seriously worried for every safc supporter that was as shocking as it gets in the second half! Trials and tribulations of a safc supporter! And for all you people who go on about being negative! I'm saying what I saw and feel on this second display! Shameful!! I dinnat want to do it at the ground!! Absolutely gutted!!

I don't think anyone will have a pop at you for being negative. there's a point where you at these players and your so disgusted by them there's nothing to be positive about. Gus will be trying everything to get somekind of response, he has to so shouldn't be blamed nor if he doesn't get any decent result for some time to come. These players forced Di Canio out of the door and don't care about the supporters, the club and i'm talking about the same shameful lot who were a joke under o'neill who I still blame a lot for this mess.

Cheers Marra! I agree and I ain't going to get on the managers back he deserves time to get his style of play across! My fear is that we haven't really got the players to do that! I'll rephrase that I think we have got them at the club! Mavrias, cabral, molberg karlson, from what I've seen and heard of whatmore, he's doing well! Diakaite looks alreet as well although there seems to be a communication problem! But they don't seem to be played! Like I said early I'm all for fighting for the cause determination! And giving everything but you have to play football as well! I feel for jack colback today! He is good footballer maybe sometimes defensively he gets out of position but as a outlet counterattacking he's got it good with the ball! Let's hope next week they play better with having a full week together to train! The mags will be clapping there hands with this lot! Till I die!
