Use our rumours form to send us sunderland transfer rumours.

20 May 2013 20:50:08
4th bottom and 5th bottom for our clubs. Absolute disgrace. Both clubs are big, good fan bases. If O`neil had not been sacked, sunderland would be down. If Pardew stays, Newcastle are in danger next season. BUT please let's stop all this nonsense and deluded claims from BOTH sets of fans regarding players. Cavani/El Shaaray/Rooney/Lescott/Milner/Carroll, these players are well above our clubs at this moment in time. And just look at the domestic cup holders, Swansea and Wigan, let's face it, top 4 is well out of both clubs reach so why not target the two cups the big boys are not interested in? Anyway, good luck to both teams next season and let's not raise our hopes too high.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Surprised the toon have kept Pardew a recipe for relegation that one. PDC? mmm not sure. well if he brings in quality ( and after the dross we've had this season that can't be difficult). we could do well but whether he can galvanise and maintain discipline. a team from scratch is debatable? time will tell!

Agree0 Disagree0

Worries me that he has only been there 5 minutes and already he is pi$$ing people off. He obviously has shockingly low man management skills. But he did punch a previous player so why am I surprised.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah i'm targeting 10th or 9th next season, if he's backed then I think he'll do well :) as for Di canio, he's a good man manager, motivator but you cannot judge his tactics or ability yet. Yes you destroyed us 3-0 with a bit of luck but then you got hammered 6-1 to villa you know? End of next season you can judge him. December for pardew.

Agree0 Disagree0

Supposedly Liverpool want Danny Rose. We should give Tottenham a deal they just can't resist

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle are a big club, Sunderland are not.

Stop trying to pretend like we are close rivals or something.

We should be competing with the likes of Liverpool for league positions every season, we had a bad season and everyone knows it.

You should be competing with the likes of the promoted teams, and that is where you are now. No surprises.

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle a big club and sunderland not? is that why sunderland have more league titles than newcastle and newcastle haven't won a trophy for nearly 50 years. Interesting

Agree0 Disagree0

"newcastle are a big club, sunderland are not" proves how arrogant and big headed newcastle fans are. and as for saying you should be competing with liverpool every season well you couldn't compete against them for 5 minutes a few weeks ago. I'm not calling every newcastle fan but a few of them need to grow up and stop living in the past

Agree0 Disagree0

You cannot even fill your stadium.

Newcastle finished above Liverpool last season, but like I said, this was a bad season for us.

No one is raising an eyebrow at where you lot are in the table.

There is not point getting your feelings hurt, it is just the truth 'ya knaw. '

Agree0 Disagree0

So a full stadium means a bigger club does it? Wind ya neck in

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone calm the f*ck down
Errrrrr 3-0 was it, at your place?
Em, watch the amount of replies by the mags sayin that it wasn't their day and that they're sooooo much better
Nobody was surprised by the way you season has turned out, you blame it on Europe, but the funny thing is, no other team who got into Europe last year has shown signs of struggling, which goes to show you have a bad squad
If ya can't take the heat, get out the kitchen mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, you finished above Liverpool last season, but you were in the championship the season before, so don't come here with your silly patter about a big club this and a big club that. Your club is nothing, its all in your daft minds, you were nearly relegated again. Where the hell do you lot get it from, is it just a jawdee inferiority thing or what?Chris-s.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good banter spoiled by some immature lad who most probably likes Newcastle but never been to sjp that's why I didn't call him a fan. pity as it was a good original post

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha so true and funny
Especially that last line!!

Agree0 Disagree0

We were not in the Championship the season before we finished 5th.

You invalidated your post with your lack of knowledge.

Btw: Bouncing straight back from the Championship shows the kind of metal Newcastle have.

Stop pretending to be a rival to Newcastle!

We all be back with a bang next season.

Sunderland have to contend with Di Canio having a big fall out with your players next season.

We are heading up the table next season.

Sunderland are a contender to go down with Stoke & Hull next season.

You know it is true.

And stop the malarky about 3-0.

It was a one off.

Give it a rest.

Watch what happens when we trounce you next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

You seriously need to get over yourself mate. Your possibly the most deluded and arrogant mag ever. Quite a few newcastle fans have been talking sence on here and fair enough they come on for banter but even they will admit your the clueless one

Agree0 Disagree0

5th top to 5th bottom. Lost last 3 home games, 10 goals against, no goals scored. and this sad skunk has the neck to call our team. Ge0rdi3=Norwegian for Sad and Deluded. FTM 03. 7 more years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Big clubs do not wear WONGA!

If we can afford 50m I wouldn't blow it on cavani we need to but good class players in different positions they all need strenghning

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah if we could afford Cavani for £50 million then we should go for different players (el sharaawy, niang, etc)

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea two regulars for AC milan because we could deff sign them.

Agree0 Disagree0

El shaarawy and niang are way out of your depth and too expensive. You will spend max 14m on different players. Plus you never enquired for cavani, you will have around 20-35m to spend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh I didn't know your our clubs financial manager. We always spend 15-25 million so why will we spend less this year when short has said PDC will get as much as the rest. Safc93

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep, because Cavani wants to come and play pub league football at a team fighting relegation every season.

Even if you had the money he would not join you, neither would any other player with any class.

You would have to pay Mercenaries double.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pffffff
Did I here Rooney calling?
Silly, silly mags

Di Canio has said he wants a new striker
Who do we think we should target
For me, Yilmaz

Believable0 Unbelievable0

With all this speculation on players coming and going has anybody any idea how much money we really have to spend and what realistic targets we have any chance of getting?

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love Yilmaz

Agree0 Disagree0

This is the crack
We supposedly have enough money to fund a 50m move for One player, but I doubt we would only buy one player with the problems our team are having so it's got to be over 50m
Mr Short (multi billionaire) has told Di Canio he can have whatever budget he wants, and I doubt he'd turn that down
He is obviously looking at top players, eg: Cavani (I know it's virtually impossible to get him) but it shows ambition
I think for the ultra leagues like BPL and La Liga, and top teams he would look at the substitutes (eg: Milner) because first team footballers in those teams don't want to come to us
In lesser leagues like the Turkish or Dutch, he would go for fist team footballers (eg; Yilmaz, Douglas)

Agree0 Disagree0

We need at least 4 good strikers Fletcher + another 3!

Agree0 Disagree0

How does it show ambition? Newly promoted Cardiff could circulate the same rumours of signing Cavani, would they be showing ambition? Makes you lot look a little bit ridiculous if you ask me.

Agree0 Disagree0

We actually put a bid in though!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2013 19:50:59
This is who I think we should target
FREE: Diakite, Roberge, Ba, (maybe) Zarate
Abdoulay Konko/Lazio/5m/RB
Rose/spurs/8m/LB
Dawson/spurs/6m/CB
Milner or Henderson/CM/9m
Weimann/Villa/9m
Lamela/Roma/15m

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Would be very happy if we got 2 or 3 of them

The Italian Cloughie

Interviewer: How would you describe your management philosophy?

Manager: The philosophy I've got is the fact that if there are a hundred battles to be won when you take over a new job, you might as well get them all done in the first three months if you can, no point in saying well we'll take our time, get 'em out of the road and then you can clear the decks and get down to what you think is the right thing.

Interviewer: Are you talking about players here?

Manager: Anything

Ed Is the transfer window open? {Ed003's Note - nope but deals are being done and are official when paperwork is done by the FA on July 1st}

This is what I hope our team looks by September
____________Mignolet____________
Konko____O'Shea__Diakite____Rose
___Milner__Cattermole__Henderson__
Johnson________________Sessegnon
____________Fletcher_____________

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maybe, but Di Canio has said he wants a striker
Aguero anyone, lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Cattermole is a no no for me, Captain or not, he should not even be at our club. A vandal a thug, not what we need at Sunderland, hope Paolo chases him, the previous managers should have done it but he is still getting money for nothing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nowt wrong with Cattermole, we so missed him while he has been out injured, yes sometimes he's a liability, but we are or were a better team with him in the middle of the park.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree we missed Catt's, always a better side with him. PDC will see all the qualities he looks for in him. Also agree he can be a liability, but maybe PDC can iron out the wrinkles!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2013 17:07:32
Bakary Sako should we try get him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Is that the defender who plays for PSG {Ed003's Note - An attacking midfielder who plays for Wolves}

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh
A bit of a dip then

Agree0 Disagree0

Both places are dumps. Newcastle only known for a night on the p1ss

If we can fund a move for 50m rated Cavani who is one of the best strikers in the world, it shows ambition to buy top class internationals and proves we have the money to fund the moves for top class internationals
We need to get a whole new defence
2 centre mids, a winder and 1 or 2 forwards depending on the formation

Believable0 Unbelievable0

'IF'? AMBITION? Sunderland will never, ever, in your lifetime sign a top-class international who has a choice of CL clubs, and you should face it. Like my lot up the road, you need to build steadily and not chuck big money at here today, gone tomorrow 'stars'. Ambition for both clubs is safe and steady in the Prem first and then build carefully one brick at a time. Having said that, Sunderland will always find it hard to attract top talent because Sunderland's an out of the way dump.

Agree0 Disagree0

And what is newcastle then if not a dump, when was the last time you had a drive round, no real s/land fan is expecting 50mil signings, we just hope we don't sign some of the dross that bruce and oniel signed we need players to play with passion something that has been lacking recently

just watched pdo's interview, please sky could you put subtitles up next time.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You try go to a foreign country and speak their language fluently

Mamma Mia here we go again lol

Has PDO forgot what he was like as a player. Shouting and fineing players only get you so far. player power allways wins!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Try telling that to Sir Alex, AVB or the late great BC

Agree0 Disagree0

A good slap doesn't do much harm either

Agree0 Disagree0

Modern day football is crap and am falling out with it. hate to say it but we are pure dire and it's a chew going to games!!

20 May 2013 11:31:30
I'm sorry but i've watched a few of di canios interviews and I haven't got a clue what he is saying.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It is hard to speak a foreign language
Most British people now can barely speak proper English

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha
So true

Agree0 Disagree0

I could listen to Di Canio all day. man's a "Legend". ge0rdi3s hate him already after "The Dirty Knees Demolition Derby". It's all good. Now let's see Ellis back him with decent money and watch us go. FTM

As far as PDC for me the jury is still out and he needs to clear most of this squad out. and his signings will be the key to whether we dowell next season. as 4th bottom is totally unacceptable a I agree with him over the Bardsley Kllgallon rap these are overpaid palyers e who aren't interested in wearing the red and white shirt with pride!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Going by what iv'e read on this site and other these are the transfers I think are likely to happen.
out, bardsley, killgallon, bramble, ji, elmo, brown and vaughan.
in:
el hadji ba - free
Diakite -free
roberge - free
viana - free
rose - 8 million
finnbogason - 7 million
guidetti - 4 million
can anyone else add to the list? safc93

Agree0 Disagree0

Zarate-free

Agree0 Disagree0

If we supposedly have enough money to fund a move for 50m rated Cavani, I expect quite a few top class internationals heading our way
For me:
•Richards/doesn't get a game
•Diakite/pretty much got him
•Roberge/think we've already got him
•Rose/sure we'll get him
•Milner/doesn't get a game
•Lamela/open to premier league switch, anything can happen, didn't think we'd get Johnson OR Yilmaz (same reasons
•Guidetti/Doesn't get a game
•El haji Ba/ think we'll get him

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd post, that's almost perfect on the sort of players you will get! I just don't see sunderland going for richards, milner etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr Short has agreed with Di Canio that he is willing to give him whatever budget he wants, so we could sign top players like Milner and Richards

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see milner and richards going to liverpool or spurs. think we'll look over seas for players instead of british players, would like some flair, a goal scorer and a commander at the back. safc93

Ed when Martin oneil was here he had loads of relationships with other teams and academies such as fc gava in the third tier of Spanish football and loads more teams from different countries do you know if the relationship is still going since di canio is here {Ed024's Note - a change of manager would probably not affect any arrangements - would assume PDC will review these kind of things over the summer.}
