This was an answer to a earlier post but I like it ,it deserves its own post.

The toon played a blinder, Agent Ash is doing his job and working to his brief, built them up let let them down bit by bit.
The latest (Lets all laugh at the mags, this is true you couldnt make it up!) is that Newscuttle council want to keep the ST Sid James name around the city and asking everyone who follows the skunks to use that name only. That way the council doesn't have to pay for new signs. How dare the council tell a company that trades in that little city (smaller than Sunderland) that pays it rates and how just today showed the people in London how good that their little city is represented, geordie culture at its finest today, long may you give the council of newscuttle value for money at representing its culture with big bellies on show showing Newcastles title as England's most unhealthiest city ,second only to Glasgow in the UK. You see football works on so many levels. Their performance gave the rest of the North East such a buzz today thank you.

Smaller city. Most of the UK has never heard of Scumberland and when they ask they say is that near Newcastle. The ground will always be SJP. Better than have a small ground on waste land.

Of course they know where Sunderland is ! its the biggest city between Leeds and Glasgow, next to the unheathiest city in England Newkebab

"A" stands for association? since when? sunderland assosciation? are you sure? History and everywhere else says its for amateur! Come on you cant make it up as you go along lads! Play fair at least on here if not on the pitch haha size not bigger either! No way! look at the census results for last so many decades and the list of biggest english cities you will see you dont list till near the bottom! Your a town! {Ed001's Note - you are wrong, it stands for Association, as the sport we know as football is properly known as Association Football, hence the word soccer, which is a contraction of association.}

Surely if sunderland is a bigger city than newcastle then they should aspire to be doing better on the pitch and have more money due to all the extra fans they have!.....but wait they dont cos less people go and so they have less money to spend! just checked and if your counting sunderland population as hebburn and surrounding towns cos they in the city limits then there is 277,000 people and in newcastle city limits there is 258,000 but if we add the town that are classed as "newcastle upon tyne" (where we are from) then there is 879,000 people! its all true and listed on the last census! Hows that?

Very sadyou have nothing else in your life,but to argue mine is bigger than yours(and we all know thats not true).sadly the figures you quote are from 2001.s/land has greater population than n/castle,but the tyneside conurbation,which takes in a far greater populated area,does have a greater population.hows that

Lads we need to start filling our stadium...I'm a season ticket holder and its annoying how empty the stadium is! Get yourselves there!

Never been well supported,remember we are in the shadow of a massive club on tyneside, even Gateshead will have bigger support if they reach league football.

True to the original post but I heard that sunderland sent 6000 fans to darlo yesterday to help them out for the day with gates ect, don't know if its true or not so don't start taking the mick, does anyone know

Ahh sunderland win and newcastle get smashed.
