Sunderland- 5 new signings and looking at many more. If we lose best players PDC will defo replace them. Good publicity for the club with the stadium jam packed with high profile gigs. Good times ahead.
Newcastle- 0 new signings and hardlies any real targets. Will lose a lot of good players and probs won't replace with good players. In the papers for all wrong reasons. Appoint a terrible director of football in Joe kinnear and with cheick tiote up in court. Rofling as I write this.

I know this is a banter and rumours page but I can't help worry that if we have a massive overhaul of our squad will we survive in the premiership. its alright getting excited about all the names being mentioned but none of these players have played in a league like the premiership with the physical games we play. its not like the Italian or Spanish league where players seem to have an eternity on the ball and players like baresi maldini still flourished in their 40s. the premiership is a massive step up for any of these lads we are signing to play in week out week in. let's hope that pdc gets these players gelled and hits the premiership running or we could be in for a long hard season {Ed024's Note - I think we are on the right track - we seem to have an agreed strategy for the first time in a while.}
On the mag site they're on about getting all these top class internationals but iv just read that only 2 players will sign for them, a centre back and a striker

Pre season as a sunderland supporter is always full of speculation and hope and then we usually end up with a pretty un eventfull end to the transfer window this season we seem to be like a dog out of the traps linked with anyone with his own boots, I for one am really looking forward to the new season but if dicanio gets rid of the heart and foundation of the team as he seems to be doing if it all goes wrong its going to go go tits up big style

Im no expert but I would keep Cattermole and work with him dicanio wants commitment Cattermole is red and white to the core.
I would also get rid of mclean and try to keep ji put him on the wing and work on his strength
