Says on TV PDC says Peruzzi deal is on hold not dead

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Exactly press trying to say its dead when it isn't

Agree0 Disagree0

Deal is dead. Except it.

Agree0 Disagree0

PDC said it is on hold

He will sign after tournament

Agree0 Disagree0

Kidding yourself. He has failed his medical.

Agree0 Disagree0

No he hasn't, keep up to date mate!

He went to go see a specialist after the problem was found, he is regarded as one of the best doctors in Europe, he said he was completely 100% fine, he can start playing immediately

He will sign after tournament

Man City have given Abdisalam Ibrahim a free transfer, he has been touted as the next viera, anyone think he's worth a punt

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How many players have been hailed as the "next Vierra"? If he's black, leggy and plays in midfield that seems to be all the resemblance needed!

Notwithstanding that though, he might be worth a look!

Sunderland have had talks with aly cissokho's representatives and matched he's wage demands, hopefully that's a lb sorted

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He doesn't want to come here he wants to go to liverpool

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure where he wants to go but I would think we would have a better chance than Liverpool as they only want him for cover where as he will be more or less guaranteed a start with us

Agree0 Disagree0

Mag alert saying he wants to go to liverpool

Agree0 Disagree0

Why always say its a mag when you like what you read? Even Ed has told you Liverpool wants him.

Agree0 Disagree0

So does Ben Arfa.
Lol.

Boom, our chances of getting Danny Rose have shot back up now

AVB has SAID he will not be getting in front of BAE on the team sheet, but has plans for him in future

D'ya really think he wants to sit on the bench for another season?
Me thinks not

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They have asked Liverpool to pay 850'000 to loan him for the year!

sunderland have began negotiations with cissokhos representatives and are thought to be willing to match his wage demands. its thought the deal is more advanced as has been reported. di canio stated "at the moment" we won't be signing Peruzzi. he is due for a further final medical examination when we return from honk kong and if all is well will still be signing. also expect a further two signings one of which will be a striker. apparently di canio has ordered the powers above to get insigne at all costs. don't shoot the messenger on insigne. it may not happen but I've a feeling di canio will get his man

ed do you know if there is any truth in the Peruzzi rumour mate as this statement allegedly made by pdc was made to the sunderland echo have read skys report on the issue and they are saying the same that the report came from the sunderland echo seems strange to me that pdc would release a statement to the echo and no one else

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed052's Note - Not really, its a local paper, so it makes sense. If that's what PDC has said, then that's what he's said}

So, in true Championship Manager style, PDC appears to be willing to sell pretty much anyone in the squad. Looking at who has been mentioned as possible out-goings: Bardsley, Brown (retire if not able to make it), Colback, Vaughan, Cuellar, Cattermole, Larsson, N'Diaye, Gardner, Sessegnon, Ji, Wickham, McLean. have I forgotten anyone?

Obviously if any of these go, they will need replacing otherwise we are undoing the good work from early in the window in terms of bolstering our numbers.

If we can help reduce our wage bill by removing some of the high earners and replacing them with better and cheaper alternatives, then that sounds sensible. Assuming that to be the case, I wouldn't mind a few of these names leaving.

Agree with all of those crying out for full backs; I think we need three. I would prefer another out and out striker rather than a Sessegnon or Giaccherini filling in, although I suspect PDC has these in mind playing just behind the front man when away from home. I would like another defensive midfielder; maybe two if Cattermole and /or N'Diaye are on their way.

Thoughts?

If the Peruzzi deal is off
Who could we target for a RB

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Typical sunderland for the last 3 years we haven't had a proper l back andour righ back has been suspect now we have neither. CLASS EH!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't mind if we keep Bardsley, stupid thing he did in the Casino and had a poor season, but we all know what a player he can be for us

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Does anyone think we could play James McClean at Left back? he has an awful right foot but its not as important back there and he has great stamina and can make a tackle. I'll be honest I slated him last year but I really feel he could do a good job for us further back the pitch

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Problem is if the attacking player cuts inside he has no chance because as you say his right foot is useless. Safc93

Agree0 Disagree0

With Giaccherini playing on the left and cutting in he wouldn't have to though, he could just play really direct and overlap going straight down the line

PDC says the Peruzzi deal is off?. other sources say its on . so what's going on!. its not an ideal situation. we are in Hong Kong with one fit striker no full backs! still. and how far is Fletcher away from a recall or even being fit for the start of the season?. loaning out Graham was premature!. we need a full squad up and running for the new season or we are going to struggle. a good measure of what we are about will be against Spurs on wednesday who played us off the park at the end of last season!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Things aren't so bonnie looking once you put the euphoria aside and look at the squad size and weaknesses at fullback and up front with ji joining fletch injured, my opinion is that dicanio may be a great coach still not sure tactically yet but he seems hell bent on surrounding himself with yes men only to feed his hungry ego
im still very unsure on how things will turn out
stripeyftm

Agree0 Disagree0

See what happens when they get back from Hong kong, sounds as though he could be coming to sign when the lads get back from hong kong but Paulo has been mis-quoted, I think he meant he won't be right this second but who knows

Di Canio has said we will not be signing Peruzzi due to fitness. He wants players who are ready to play not recovering from an injury. Also looks like we are in advanced talks with cissoko and are willing to meet his wage demands and the player is keen on a move to England. Liverpool are also intrested but have not yet made a deal with the club unlike Sunderland. Expect him to sign this week on loan with an Option to buy. The Greek lad will also sign this week leaving us the RB position to fill and maby another forward.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Funny then that all reports yesterday said he was signing. The injury was an old one from last season, which has'nt stopped him playing. Clarification on the injury was sought, and given the ok.

Agree0 Disagree0

Weird how the Greek lad is actually recovering from an injury at the moment and is not fully fit. Peruzzi played at the end of last season yet he is recovering from an injury

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Hearing PDC is saying he will not take a risk on Peruzzi - deal could be dead.}

Sunderland till I die, who's with me

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I am
But come on, that doesn't really deserve a responce

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the equivalent of fishing for 'likes'

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really, it's just expressing passion towards the club!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well yes it is otherwise he needn't have wrote 'who's with me'
