Definitely not a red card at all but that's no excuse. We've not followed up on a very morale boosting victory over Man City and we go to Stoke and lose. We're just not able to keep performing, we need to always take a step back to go forward it seems. We keep going a step back we will end up in the Championship.

Yep
Some players don't have fight in them, they only perform when it counts,
(Man C, Newcastle e. g) which is not good enough
We are incredibly inconsistent, one week we think, great we are doing it we are sorting ourselves out. Then you get the week after when it's just, oooooh sh*t!

There still a descent chance we will get relegated, we r back bottom, but it's still way to early to write anyone off, a couple of good results and we're closer to 10th than 20th, so let's not get too ahead of ourselves, yes we all get angry when we or the REF shoots us in the foot but its all part and parcel of being a Sunderland fan

Mark my words, everything will become very positive after the January Transfer window, some players don't show enough quality, belief or fit in with any tactics, Poyet knows this and will replace them and this is why he wants final say on transfers because look at what's happened so far, Di Fanti had total control, a lot of the new players don't fit in with the team, not good enough or don't get near the team sheet which is why we are down at the bottom

Everything will become very positive after january transfer window? How? Sunderland going to have a squad of 70? Need to get some off the wage bill first and let's face it, who is going to take any of the players?

I genuinely didn't think we played that bad. Still passing the ball better and looked the equal of them with 10 men. Obviously need a greater attacking threat going forward but couldn't really pick anyone out who was dreadful. The ref ruined the game and the danger is come xmas we are going to be completely out of touch with some tough games coming up but its the first time in the season there's a real desire by the players to play football, finally we've realised working hard doesn't mean booting someone in the air and its about trying to make good decisions when the balls at your feet. We need to keep going.

If a player is sh*t = he's dropped
If a manager is sh*t = he's sacked
If a team is sh*t = they're relegated

If a ref is sh*t = No worries, have another go next week, you can fu*k up again

Forgot to mention this in the other one but I'm congratulating Brown, it was a hell of a tackle, anyone would have been proud of that

Oh yeah, Hughes thought it was justified
Yeah he is meant to be biased.

{Ed024's Note - The fact that the ref did nothing about the challenge from Begovic on Fletcher really puts Kevin Friend in a no win position - he needs to admit he got it wrong and ask his bosses to keep him away from SOL for a long time.}

Yeah I agree

But it's so crap when the ref makes the mistakes and WE have to pay the bloody consequences

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Just got to trust that these kinds of decisions will balance themselves out across the season.}

I'm afraid it doesn't work like that

It'll only get worse

E. g
Next week:We score penalty, it's ruled offside and violence shown towards the ball, Red Card

Just seen Wes Brown's sending off and taking out all the emotion out it - it shows an astonishing lack of competence by the ref. I don't see even the Referee's Association or the FA being able to defend him - what's the chances Kevin Friend finds himself at Burnley next week!

An appeal will be upheld, Poyet may even get an apology over the phone - but the damage is already done. A game we would have fancied getting something from - taken away by an incompetent ref.
