Whats going wrong at Sunderland?. we sell Frazier Campbell for peanuts and he scored 5 goals in 5 games for Cardiff after not even been giving a game by MON!. after only 2 strikers left. is this an action by a good manager?. we must get rid of this manager before we are relagated. he makes Steve Bruce look good!

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Championship to premire is a massive step if we signed him back he would score 0

Premier League

Sunderland V Everton

I think we need to play a 5-4-1 and try to get a few draws before those games, otherwise we will be in trouble.

If we go down it could be a while before we bounce back.

Must must must play defensive.

Jeez.

Believable6 Unbelievable7

Yes difficult games apart from the Mag one! easy 3 points there!. the Frenchies won't be up for another Waterloo!

Agree7 Disagree4

Bramble was a total shambles yesterday why does MON persist with him? what does he see in him?

Agree7 Disagree1

Geordie here in peace, mackems used to rip the p*ss when he was playing at the toon, now you can see first hand what he is like, a bloody liability

Agree8 Disagree0

Isnt the best form of defence, attack?
Putting more pressure on their defence is more likely to force errors.
We do not have a good enough defence or midfield to sit back. We have to hope that Fletcher and Graham settle in together and if not we are in deep sh*t.

Agree5 Disagree0

Calm down

titus has 1 bad game and all you nuts are on his back.

give him a break

Agree0 Disagree6

The best thing the club can give Bramble is a free transfer!

Was at the hawthorns's yesterday along with every other game we have played this season and Aj is really annoying me he must be the only wide man in the premier lge who on a very rare occasion attempts to take on a player and I emphasise very rare actually look's like he is in slow motion reverse will somebody explain that when the full back starts bring the ball forward that is his que to leave the halfway line touch line and start to move forward allowing us the option of either bring the ball forward further up the field or playing a ball in behind and also when the ball is 70 or 80 percent in his favour for a chance to nick the ball of the opposition that he actually go's through with it instead of pulling out and turning his back on the ball allowing the player to just stroll past him unoposed also could we put him on a weight's program so that he has enough strength in his legs to lift the ball head height into the box from his woeful attempted corner's and free kicks or allow seb to take over responsibility I know this is a bit of a rant but I and many other sunderland fans are starting to feel very cheated with his effort come on aj start earning that large wage

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Your right mate he wants to have a good look at himself in the mirror, more worryingly though he wouldn't do this at man city but he thinks he can get away with it at sunderland.

We were ripped off.

Agree4 Disagree3

We weren't ripped off- we were victim to O'Neill's obsessional pursuit of specific favourites. He signs two sorts of players- his pets who play every week no matter how useless they are, and those he signs to reduce dissatisfaction with his inability to recruit players and then ignores. There are some other poor teams in the Premiership, but most of them- Southampton, Reading, QPR- have given some sterling performances despite their position. Only Villa some might say still trying to recover from his reign there- arte as unenterprising as we are. Our best performances have been rearguard smash and grabs- because the manager has no imagination and no capacity to get the team playing football. Considering that every game he sends out a defensive formation, the fact that the defence is so woeful speaks volumes about his ability to organise a football team. He has none. Sad to say, Newcastle have brought in much better players and have been much better organised. They also have played a lot more football. No doubt the O'Neill apologists will be on again telling us how much they believe in him- but the truth is Pardew has been more impressive in every facet of management.

Agree3 Disagree5

So which category does Steven Fletcher fit into then? Strikes me he is neither ignored nor fed Pedigree Chum.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a pet of course- and though I concede that he has been less incompetent than most, he has certainly not been a covered himself in glory either, and has been no more than an 'average' £12m player at best. Newcastle got four players for that who would all significantly strengthen the team, as did WBA themselves in the pre-season. O'Neill is as clueless when it comes to signing as he is organising and motivating the team. Over the past 38 games Sunderland have garnered just 40 points, scoring only 40 goals. Of those, Fletcher has 10 from his 27 appearances this season. Hardly a stunning impact- even Bendtner got five in the last eleven games last season, which kept us up. So hardly a masterstroke, and certainly not the matchwinner we hoped for, though perhaps that is because O'Neill has left him stranded up front on his own most of the season. As I said, the signings are as unimpressive as the management has been, though I would be happy to see Fletcher given a chance to show what he could do playing for someone who has some idea of how to organise a football team.

Agree2 Disagree3

Oh here we go again; another dyslogy from the Head MONK. He now uses statistics much as a drunken man uses a lamp post - for support rather than to illuminate. You see, being a self confessed 'follower' this is the only 'support ' he understands.
The utter relief I feel when reading of his misguided belief that the lack of entertaining football he perceives is in some way due to a lack of tactical nouse on the part of MON, is derived not from the content of his ramblings, but rather from the knowledge that I don't have to sit near or next to him on a fortnightly basis - assuming of course he actually attends that is.

Agree2 Disagree1

So let me be sure I understand you- you don't mind the fact that O'Neill has an appalling record. You are content that the teams he puts out show no organisation, with shambolic defending and toothless attacking, and a preference for 'tactics' that seem to be get behind the ball and pass backwards whenever possible. You in no way hold him accountable for the way the team plays, and have infinite faith that if we stick with him, things can only get better.
I assume you go for the pies, because you clearly aren't interested in football.

What we need in the summer is 2 or 3 defenders and a few midfielders. Not mediocre 30 year old's but ones that have experience but also have the quality for the league. The only thing is you have to pay big to get them so Mr Short if you would like to dip into your pocket a bit for us? If not then please sell the club to some Arabs please.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

I would prefer if he sold the club to Arabs then we have huge money

Agree4 Disagree2

WHY WHY WHY is Bramble still playing for this club.? the fans think he is rubbish why doesn't MON think that?. we are in for a relagation battle with this manager!. why doesn't he play Mangane or Cuella?. we desperatly need 2 good centre backs!

Agree4 Disagree2

We need a new manager never mind new owners I wouldn't trust MON with big money!

Agree5 Disagree5

O'Neill is a complete disaster. There can't be a more clueless manager in the league. We were better to watch and looked more like a football team when Roy Keane was in charge. and O'Neill is making even Sbragia look like a tactical and motivational genius. How much more of this tripe before Short wakes up to the fact that O'Neill is not up to the job!

Agree5 Disagree5

It would never happen he is well out of our league but isn't moyes out of contract in the summer? Imagine if we got him four or five years ago and he spent the big money we have wasted in those years.

Short should offer him the job with big money to spend in the summer.

We don't ask for much do we, we just want to be competative, similar to what Everton are now.

Agree2 Disagree2

As if an arab would want to come to safc. major debt to short for what keane spent and bruce. allways a lots of empty seats why would any arab even consider it.??

Agree2 Disagree1

I am glad even now that bruce went, but at least we had quality attack minded players and attacking formation and football, O'Neill isn't working, villa fans warned us and they were right.

Agree2 Disagree4

TOTTALY agre with the above statement!. most fans are losing faith in MONS ability as a manager organising the team changing things around motivating the team and playing players like Bramble who don't deserve to be in th Championship never mind the Premiership!. the bottom line is we are in a relegation battle and I just don't know when our next point never mind win is coming from!

Agree2 Disagree2

That's what man city thought why would and Arab come there anything is possible

Agree1 Disagree3

Any of you geniuses who continue to talk like you have the experience of sir Alex and the tactical xavi of Morinho stop to consider that ITS THE PLAYERS FAULT. can't continue to blame MON for what the 11 on the pitch do.

whats the crack with Kader Mangane, whens he ganna play because bramble is a pure joke, can't understand oneil me he gets a injured player that is from what I understand still far away from playing that's 5 or 6 games missed already well done marty NOT!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Well similar to his loan signings last Januarary!. the greek defender (who I won't even attempt to pronouce ) and Bridge hardly got a kick so why should this stubborn manager change with Mangane? he keeps sayin he's not ready? so why sign him and play the likes of Bramble who isn't a premiership player!
