Steve Bruce's 2011 record.
P22 W6 D3 L13 F26 A30

Bruce overall SAFC record.
P87 W27 D24 L36.
3 derby games 1 point,with a 5-1 defeat.

Well backed in the transfer market,a fantastic owner,42k average crowds.

How is this man still in a job?
Don't forget the was it 16 games win less run last season and the shocking start this season, sorry but we scraped a point versus liverpool we were lucky it was first game of the season.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

We will get beat off swansea too as it comes in 3s.Magpies,seaguls,swans.Mags,brighton,swansea
Attack of the birds. For brucies black cats..

Agree5 Disagree2

Simple click thumbs up if you want bruce to stay, thumbs down if you want him out.

Agree6 Disagree6

Totally agree with you. Our form in 2011 is relagation form and our home form even worse just 2 home wins in 2011. He should have gone in the summer. Just think if we cant score now what on eart will bruce do in january when gyan and sessegnon are away.

Agree6 Disagree0

Dont think we averaging 42,000 like it was a well known fact last season it was roughly 33,000 ish ed do you know...ftm {Ed007's Note - As far as I can see the average attendance for Sunderland was 40,011}

Agree1 Disagree0

Maybe he added the muckems sitting in the pub watching it cos as far as i can see there are at least 10,000 empty seats every game

Agree3 Disagree2

Why as a person from a smaller city (a geordie in case you couldnt work it out) would you watch sunderland games? You obviously must as you are commenting on our attendance

Agree3 Disagree1

Lol 33 thousand your obviously a geordie. It was 42 thousand FACT ,it was published as 40 thousand but that was with 3 or 4 home games left to play and they pushed it up to 42 thousand.33 thousand we get better than that for reserve games against man utd and liverpool in the early 2000s.

Agree1 Disagree0

Lets talk newcastles attendances before keegan,no thought not.

Agree4 Disagree0

The ground wasn't extended till 92 93 season you nugget!

Agree1 Disagree1

Still only had 7,000 in against wrexham in 1979 when ye ground held more than 30,000 only 3 years after played bastia in europe

Agree2 Disagree0

Bruce is doing a fantastic job your team are where they should be with the other dross in the bottom half of the table smb's

Agree3 Disagree0

The Toon Army supports it's team in the ground not the pub......going back to 1979 is really sad if it's really true....just a sad git like you would know that

Agree1 Disagree0

1979 are you having a laugh is that the best you can do as for our attendances chamionship 2 seasons ago the loyal fans 48,500 we where averaging 6000+ more than you,s in the prem

Agree1 Disagree0

As for nufc championship attendances you had no choice but to turn up you were on three year season tickets.

Agree1 Disagree0

What about the ten thousand empty seats today against fulham?hypocrites the geordies on the back of a derby win and have ten thousand empty seats.

Agree0 Disagree0

The 3 year deal was if you paid up front you got a deal with no ticket rises numty......you lot where out giving your tickets away FREE to get supporters just to try and get the record even that failed

Agree0 Disagree0

Toon talks about last year and this year......SAFc fanc talk about 1979....??????? i mean whats all that about? Premiership wasnt even started then! its all about now lads. Recent history not yesteryear!

Agree0 Disagree0

Might have summit to do with Fulham having a 4,200 allocation but only selling 800...... SMB's

Agree1 Disagree0

Still 6500 empty seats.

Bruce seems to heavily favor players he managed or played played alongside, so the Forlan rumor has some credibility!!

Believable1 Unbelievable4

When did bruce manage forlan or play alongside him

Agree0 Disagree1

Get a grip man we cannot i repeat cannot afford forlan wage demands get over it

Agree2 Disagree0

Bruce had left man utd and was managing before forlan came to man utd in 2002

Agree0 Disagree0

Bruce is lazy and so are all the scouting staff I think they've gone for the easy signings and no ground-work done for talent abroad and the players they've bought are just not good enough...... even he thinks that as he'll not play most of them

Agree2 Disagree2

Players are decent players its bruce who doesnt know what hes doing

Agree2 Disagree0

The guy who posted the origional post must be mad! 1) forlan will not be coming to SAFC ever unless its to play for another english club or, 2) Bruce didnt play or manage forlan. He was too fat and old by then so basicly you made yourself look really stupid and should post your name so we can all laugh at you. SAFC and NUFC fans alike!

The club will not give Steve Bruce any more money for signings. Looks like their preparing the sack!

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Even though bruce was saying yesterday 2 more players should be coming in, possibly 2 strikers or a left winger and a striker

Agree2 Disagree2

Demba cisse (striker) and kranjear or bellamy (left winger)

Agree2 Disagree3

Also need a LB which he knew about last season

hello sunderland how would yous like Glasgow rangers and Glasgow Celtic to play in England am asking all me personnaly think it would be a great thing as the old firm need a fresh start

Believable3 Unbelievable4

I would of welcomed it years ago when they were on about it, think it would be goodn for both to be in the premiership, but think they would both struggle. but takes time to adjust.just as long as both sets of their fans leave their death threats and stuff like that at home because their is no need in it

Agree3 Disagree1

Although undoubtedly big clubs and with premiership money woud continue to be big clubs both teams at the minute are very poor and would struggle in the premiership if not the championship. Any team that have either daryl murphy or david healy off us must be poor sides! It would be fair on every other club in england just to put them straight in premiership and scottish football would fold if yous left!

Agree1 Disagree0

I think it would be good but yous would be like lower than mid table, similar standard to blackburn wolves, i can see why you want to leave SPL the teams in that leauge a dreadful

Agree1 Disagree0

I would expand the premiership for them both, not going to affect anyone really, business as usual, but 1st they would have to clear it with all the premier league teams

Agree1 Disagree1

Keep your violent moron fans in scotland and welcome aboard

Agree0 Disagree1

Thanks for all opinions

Agree0 Disagree0

Only if you start at the lowest level and work your way up .....like every other team has had to do......they say the premier league has to many teams now..... so who would you throw out.... to make way for you's.....if the Scottish people supported there local teams instead of being a bunch of glory hunters by supporting the big 2 they would have league where more teams could compete

NOT TO WORRY SUNDERLAND FANS, john oshea is fit and will solve all SAFC problems (sunderland echo) ie he is going to stop any1 scoring by himself plus score the goals by himself. is there any chance he can pick the team by himself cos steve "the geordie" carnt. ftm and sack the mag cos i never wanted him in the first place.

just a thought t cheer ye lads up. its a good job sb didn't sign that cabaye because he would look like a smurf in our away top fat sgb. anyway a good win on saturday will get us back to normality its gonna be a long season but already an interesting one plus some of the posts on here have shown how much a lot of the fans have belief in the team just not in the tactics in quinn we believe keep the faith and ftm

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Cabaye would walk straight into our team, our midfield is crap!!!!! Cattermole,Vaughn,Larsson,Gardner are all average at best. Open your eyes little boy and see where our problems are, defence, midfield and absolutely no strikers, although our manager has spent a fortune!!! Quinny needs to look in mirror and see that this fat clown is taking us nowhere. I mean, what has he ever done in management????????????

Agree2 Disagree0

Follow The Mags

Agree3 Disagree1

Cabaye woudnt go to you's anyway and if you had got him he would be your best player.

Agree3 Disagree0

Cabaye walk into out team, get real, an unproved player who has played 2 premier league games, it's about as funny as newcastle saying ben arfa is the next messi after 4 games of premiership football, arrogance of them geordie looneys. FTM is F*ck the Mags!!!!! SGBS

Agree3 Disagree4

Think cabaye is looking like a decent player to be honest much better than what we have and i,m sure he won the league last year......ftm

Agree2 Disagree1

Bruce didn't know about Cabeye (a french international) because he never got of his fat arse to do any scouting abroad lazy gb
