when will mon realise thjat putting 10 players in our own 18 yard box for the last 15 minutes of games doesnt work. against west ham it was pathetic. everyone get in our box and let them punt it in every 15 seconds. it never worked against swansea or liverpool and definately not west ham. new tactics required please. who knows. drop sess (very poor at the mo) and play 442. thus pushing up the pitch and keeping the opposition away from our goal. SIMPLES

Believable3 Unbelievable1

You just have to watch irelands rigid 4-4-2 to realise what a crappy formation it is and that is simples

Agree0 Disagree2

Maybe 442 is not a system we can play with the current players, but 451 becoming 901 when under pressure is not s much tactics as stupidity.Hard to know where the balance of responsibility lies- does O'Neill's preoccupation with a counter-attacking style mean he wants as many as possible behind the ball all the time, or do the players get lonely when they are spread over the whole pitch? Whatever, it is as dull to watch as it is ineffective. There have been times over the past twenty games that made Bruce seem tactically innovative- it that rather than the eking out of points O'Neill needs to think about. Yes, we love Sunderland, but we love football more.

Agree2 Disagree1

I think its to early to draw on the negatives, To become a good team you build a team that his hard to beat by learning to defend as a team and build from there, chelsea and man city, man utd and arsenal ,liverpool all built this way. Fact

Agree1 Disagree1

We sould play 4-4-2 against the weaker Prem teams and a more flexible system when we play the top 4

If mon was to take the armband off catts which i dont think he will bardsley would be my choice with oshea a close second. It might be a good idea for catts to have a few one on one sessions with bally.(medics at the ready). Chris33

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I respect catts passion but his behaviour both on and off the pitch (car kicking incident) makes him a liability and in my eyes not fit to wear the armband at safc. Its a shame because he has everything wanted from a captain except self control and the ability to set an example. I would give it to O'Shea but as the previous poster mentioned bardo would also be a good choice. Lm86

few draws that could help us to have a decent run in the cup.
Sunderland v Bradford
Man u v Chelsea
Tottenham v arsenal
this is providing there are no upsets today, let me know what you think. Safc93

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Newcastle beating man utd in the league cup would not be an upset mate

Agree0 Disagree5

Man u are by far a better team than newcastle in every way so yes it would be. Safc93

Agree2 Disagree1

So last season hammering them 3-0 was a upset ? 5th place beating 2nd place hardly a upset is it

Agree1 Disagree0

Man utd consistantly finish top 3 even 2 newcastle finishing 5th dosnt see you as a top 6 club as it was a one off a fluke, lets see if they match it this season. They have no chance by the way so yes nufc beating mufc at old trafford would be a big upset,or do you geordies think your bigger than man utd too lol.
