I would love bent back but didn't 1 of our people abuse his mother in a pub then it all seem to start about him wanting away sorry but we don't deserve him back {Ed024's Note - Dont think that would stop him - unfortunatley each club has its idiot section and Bent has been around long enough to know that.}

Scharner - Old, slow and never any good, Zarate - flopped big style in english football with Birmingham. Should Mon not be looking at players to IMPROVE the squad/team?

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Scharner old and slow.oniells perfect player. Cuellar mcfadden saha

Agree4 Disagree1

Zarate flopped? He scored 4 in 14 in the PL for a team who got relegated. If he played a whole season he would've score approximately 11 goals and not as an out and out striker

Just on the post about rhodes black paid 8 mill he would cost about 12 would rather becchio hooper would cost the same would rather bent or even odenwingie as for zarate was he not part of the brum team relegated and his goals per game ratio is worse than every 1 at our club there has got to be better than what were been linked with for better value if graham not good enough for swansea how is he good enough for bent is good enough for villa but clearly problem between him and lambert same gos for odenwingie but I wouldn't be suppriesd if the players we get haven't be mentioned in the press and if that's the case we have been linked with just about every striker out there this window apart from oneills fav heskey ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Believable0 Unbelievable5

12m for rhodes no chance, blackburn didn't pay 8m for rhodes it was like 6m so I'd say we could get him for 8m, he is playing in the championship so his price won't be 12m

Agree3 Disagree0

Zaha is a championship player and his price was 15 million

But if we get bent back will he be like fletcher 1st team or like wickham on the bench that's why Campbell left

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Campbell wasnt good enough neither is wickham its as simple as that

Mag here in peace, mon to loan scharner.. seriously needs to think about bringing in sum young pacey players instead of giving old pros a last dig in the prem. Nufc maybe taking unknown chances and they are gettin sum stick for it but least we are trying. If I was a safc supporter I would be askin why mon isn't spending to keep your good form going and maybe trying to push for europe.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

MON got tight budget

Agree0 Disagree4

Mags concentrate on your own club, MON knows what he is doing

Agree1 Disagree7

We have young players though, Sess is our oldest player outside of the defence to play regularly and he's 28. We only have 4 players over 30 and which are O'Shea (31) Brown (33) Bramble (31) and Cuellar (31). I wouldn't mind a youth injection though like the impact McClean made at the start of MON era

Of course strikers cause most excitement, but you have a short memory if you have forgotten how slow and error prone our defenders have looked in many games this season. But Bardsley, Cuellar, O'Shea, Bramble and Kilgallon can all expect to be playing out the remainder of the season. That is what needs attending to urgently, because none of these players could expect to start regularly in a Premier side, let alone a top ten outfit. A couple of wins and suddenly we are confident- look at the teams we are beating, and how pathetic we looked (twice!) against Bolton. We are still no further forward than a year ago, and few signs that key problem areas are even acknowledged. We need at least one mobile centreback and at least one fullback before the window closes.

I agree that we need to address the defence but I'm afraid I disagree and a striker is the priority. We only have two recognised strikers in fletch and wickham. Sess could do a job there but he's far from a finisher and Zarate (if he was to join) is a very similar player to sess

Zarate could be joining hope he does he's As fast as lightning and on his day he is unstoppable.

personally I think graham signing won't happen till after tuesday night, but if he don't come would love if we got hooper or zarate but does anyone not think Jordan Rhodes from blackburn as another striker, the kids a Goal machine and I think he can make the step up to the premiership, should cost about 6m though for him
