I know he's no world class defender but if Man U are after selling Evans surely we must enquire he's would improve our defence. Van Djik is either not leaving Celtic or heading to Southampton and will probably just use us in that case to get more money. In addition to either a left back or winger/striker. That and talent like Watmore given a chance with improved form we'll be alright.
Plus with left back why not give Robson a shot before buying another can't do any worse.

would love to see evans back at the sol I think he would make a future captain for the club but the stumbling block is the fee lads I can't see us paying 12mill for anyone until our finances are in order like dick says we are still paying for players who have left the club I just wish short had listened to pdc and not given de fanti an open cheque book

well, lescott was told he can leave once the baggies signed another centre back. Would've preferred Evans, but lescott with the right partner could possibly still cut it

Yes he would be a fine signing who would fill the brief of signing young players for a club building for the future. Don't we have enough mid thirties defenders. He would make do for now for a make do club. The ambition is awful, happy to finish fourth bottom yet again. They are getting no more of my hard earned cash.

So Defoe thinks an England recall is possible after scoring 3 against high flying Exeter?? A 33 year old defender in Lescott is being mooted as an acquisition prospect!!! Van dyke ( spelling ) who was awful against Malmo continues to be linked!! If fans are honest Swansea should have won last week with gilt edged chances in front of goal only foiled because they didn't head it either side of the keeper. I like Graham's work ethic but come on he isn't going to score. PVA is not a defender, anyone can see that and teams will continue to target him. Big game Saturday as if Villa can score against us we ARE in trouble. I predict no more signings in this window and bottom by Christmas followed by a raft of over inflated panic buys under a different manager. I still say he will walk in the next few weeks and who could blame him in all honesty.

a think you will find it is his three goals against Exeter and the two he has scored in the league for us as well. which is two more than rooney and kane have scored put together in two way better teams than ours. why do you have to be so negative at the wrong people. why hate on defoe for striving to perform for an England recall. why not praise pantilimon instead of hating on the team. there are things I agree with in your post but don't criticise people for doing well.

If you are in any way suggesting he has a cat in Hells chance of playing for England then I would suggest you must be drinking the same juice he does and as for criticism I didn't criticise Pantillimon I merely stated the obvious that if Swansea had finished better they would have won easily. It just reinforced the obviousness of our weak back 4 which was again shown to be poor against Exeter. So no criticism of Defoe or Pantillimon in my post just stating the obvious. Neither do I hate anyone which was one of the bizarre things you stated. Read the posts properly before you take the time to reply.
