now that's my team for derby day. i also think that the toon have more technically gifted players but i don't no if they can perform as a team as of yet . same goes for yous lot which should make the derby intersting. atm i can see sunderland being more of a team but i don't no why. tbh ive had one 2 many and typed to much but all i want to no really is. . .Will these be the most exciting derby games this season cos i very much think so. agree or disagree tell me why

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Yeah i think both teams can expect decent things this season both teams need 1 new striker tho i have no idea what to expect on the 20th august anyone who does is either guessing or lieing.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only change i would make to that team is maybe best over shola he did start to come good last season til injurys upset his season so could be one to watch this year and think he more dangerous than shola

Agree0 Disagree0

3 0 sunderland against that team mate as think ye will struggle this year to score goals just not replaced the lads who got goals last year. but 3 weeks to go and ye could have another player or 2 but trying to be honest and that team will be playing in bottom 6 all season. hope ye not hurt ye feelings but thats my opinion. one gary rowell

Agree1 Disagree0

I think best should start cos ameobi always seem to score against us and i want a clean sheet, 2-0

Agree0 Disagree0

The person who said about Best over Ameobi is forgetting that no matter how badly NUFC play Ameobi always scores against Sunderlnd. I think Nolan is a massive loss for the mags as there top scorer last season. Look at the run we went on when we lost our top scorer last season. Hopefully the derby will be a good one

Agree0 Disagree0

Only one decent defender Coll as can't see Enrique being there. Midfield looks ok but will Barton be there?will cabaye be up to speed? also not many goals in there. Attack Ba scored a few but not much else in squad. If you relay on untested youth you will struggle. Fancy our chances very much Sess to score.
FTM

Agree0 Disagree0

If there is one team you can guarantee Shola will score against, its Sunderland ha . He could have an awful season and I'd still start him against the Mackems.

Agree0 Disagree0

You all talk about Sessegnon.. He was abysmal last season so you can't even predict how well he will do this year. Regardless of the "he was settling in" excuse.

Taylor is a decent defender, and so is Simpson. Why would Barton not be here? Nobody is coming in for him and he seems intent on staying.

Also you talk about Cabaya not being up to speed, you have to consider your own team, 9 new players. Have they gelled yet? This game is going to be wide open imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon it will be honours to the toon this year again Only nolan and carroll gone since last gave you a hiding and think the new lads already showing they playing ok and getting up to speed unlike a couple of your lads who just not turning up Also brown probably wont make 2nd game as still injured so that gives best, ameobi, ba etc even more space to exploit and get goal chances sess couldnt score in blackpool on a saturday nite We wont be in bottom 6 all season but you can keep saying it cos its all just premonition stuff You got a harder time trying to bed 9 new players in so good luck ha h

Agree0 Disagree1

If i was a mag god forbid then i would take it on the chin and admit we have lost our 2 best players and goalscorers have replaced them with poor players sunderland have improved there squad by bringing in experiance so there is only one way the result will go 3 0 sunderland and a season of despair for the toon who look doomed for the drop.

Agree1 Disagree0

Good god some of you mackems are just too ignorant for words. I give up trying to talk sense to you.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are totally deluded if you think you have replaced Nolan and Carrol. Add the fact that it looks like you are about to lose Enrique.
Barton must be really happy with his treatment, is he going to give 100% ?
Me thinks you are putting on a brave face or just in denial.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who the fleck said sessegnon was abysmal last season? you sir havnt got a clue what you talking about

Agree0 Disagree0

Marveaux will play instead of jonas guaranteed

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't you point out exactly what Sessegnon did last season that was so impressive then? Games I watched he was totally anonymous.

No, we haven't replaced Nolan or Carroll. But we have Ba who proved he can score goals so long as he stays fit.

And you should check out Bartons preseason performances, he has definitely given 100%.

Enrique may or may not go.. Nobody can say for certain since he doesn't have the balls to put in a transfer request and would rather play silly games saying he's being "sold".

Nolan was anything but irreplaceable, and Cabaye, Marveaux and Abeid are not "poor players".

and he, ll still score more than your top striker. then come back here in 30 years and you still won't have had a player who was once the best striker in world all time leading top scorer in premiership worlds most expensive player at one point toungest striker to score an hatrick. .so dream on smb

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Who are you comparing Poppins too?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well doubt anyone in england will have the worlds most expensive player anymore as the prices of players from europe is a joke, Best in the world shows how much harder it is now and how many better players there are now. Messi, Ronaldo etc. . sorry should I add Ben Arfa to that list as you guys think he is just as good as messi. SGB

Agree0 Disagree0

You guys think Gyan is worth £35m+.. lmao.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is better than Carroll, an international recognized striker for Ghana, played in the world cup and will play in the african cup of nations. You valued mandy carroll at 35m even though was only worth 15m tops so hell yes Gyan is worth that if not more.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the donkey Carrol went for 35, why not for Gyan, he's a world class player and he's ours.

And to the muppet going on a bout Shearer yeh he was good but he's in the "past", he's probably the best striker of his time who won F*** all, 1 medal for Blackburn, i bet he secretly wishes he went to a top club like man u. why do you SGB's always live in the past, or are you just jealous that your so called little neighbours have one of the best owners and chairman in the country and will be proved in the next few years by investing wisely. Not on unknow frogs and injury prone players. good luck next season you will need it. FTM

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice to see they edited the part about Carroll being a better all-rounder than Gyan out of my post.

Gyan is far from world class or he wouldn't be playing for your lot. He's good, but he has plenty of flaws. Not the best finisher, no composure, not good in the air. Carroll has all of those traits, he also tracks back, he constantly wins headers and knock-downs and on top of that he's younger.

Gyan is worth what you paid for him, maybe. But nothing he did last season would increase his price to anywhere near £35m.

And keep talking about our "unknown frogs", we got most of them for free so its good business, unlike paying £8m+ for a guy who was outscored in the Championship by Jay Bothroyd.

Agree0 Disagree0

Injury prone players? Have you seen browns record? Isnt he injured now too and likely to miss start of the season? What about Gyan? Didnt he spend time out last year with injuries like ben arfa? Where is craig gordon? injured perhaps? Oh and isnt gardner the smae player who has missed a large chunk of his last 3 seasons out with back problems? Injuries? Yeah you lot should know about them

Agree0 Disagree0

You lot keep posting ghana international if he is that good why did he come to sunderland and not barca, inter or real tell you why they did not want him and has for choice is ghana spoilt for choice with the worlds best strikers...NOPE SMB

Agree0 Disagree0

We have cover for Gordon. Are you keeping up, he i rumoured to be leaving anyway ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wickham is 18 year old, Bothroyd is 29 years old, he has 11 years more experience than Wickham get a grip you fool, your talking utter rubbish like most geordies

Agree0 Disagree0

Bothroyd is also s**t.. But he still outscored the "hottest prospect in the world right now" Connor "9 goals in the second tier of English football" Wickham.

Andy Carroll only had 2 years on Wickham when he was down there and he scored 19.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wicham was used as a wide man playing just up from midfield las season, he wasnt used as a traditional striker he did provide quite a few assists

anybody got a decent source who jnows anything about defoe? i thought he wanted to stay in london but lots of speculation around. what do you think ed {Ed001's Note - I don't have a clue sorry.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He wont go to a team not in london

SMB's stay on ya own site We hate Bruce as much as you, so get on with it. . . .

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Get a grip you fool, if that's the case then tell your SGBS to stay off our site. but it is a banter page so both sets of fans can do what the hell they want, now put your dummy back in and go and cry to mike ashley and ask him where your 35m is? SGB

Agree1 Disagree0

Im a mag and gotta agree with the mackem on this one There would be no banter on these banter pages if opposing fans didn't come on Doesnt stack up to keep them off as would only be a comment page then

Agree1 Disagree0

Nice to hear the geordie agree with me, it's just banter, fair enough it gets annoying fans conmstantly taking the mick and making up rubbish but you can have some good conversations aswell

16 mill for henderson, 24mill for bent. . . .and the scum got 35mill for a muppet, so that means GYAN worth 35+ EASILY. FTM

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Not really. Carroll scored 13 goals last season and was out injured for the second half of it. Gyan scored 10.

Plus Carroll is good in other areas, tracks back and defends, he's strong, wins everything in the air mostly and scares the s**t out of centrebacks.

ONLY a mad bid would get sb sell GYAN, the bloke scored for fun in the games has played and that's b4 he gets used to the pace ov the prem. considering we paid £13 million for him WHY would we sell him for £10 mill???. the SGB who posted this couldnt say the geordie scum put a £40million bid in for gyan, cos ashley aint even got £40 in his pocket. FTM

Believable3 Unbelievable0

10 goals isn't scoring for fun.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Goals, WOW WOW WOW, Brilliant, Fantastic Yippppeeeee. He has to be worth at least 5m

Agree0 Disagree0

Some players score more than that in cups Ameobi gets that most years so that puts him on par with your superman Your in trouble then lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt Carroll get sold for 35m even though he scored 10 goals? so think you mean Gyan must be worth 35m then ha answer that one SGB

Agree0 Disagree0

English players always high priced. scored 10 in 3 month then got injured. gyan 10 in whole season and once bents assists wnet he got maybe 3 so kinda stacks up Check out player values and you will see the premiership league values gyan at 13 million so problem solved and point made Plus there is only you lot who value him the same level as tevez and co

Agree0 Disagree0

Carroll getting sold for £35m doesn't mean he was WORTH £35m does it you dumb s**t?

But Carroll is a better all-round player than Gyan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny seems thougH we payed 13.2m for him, if we were to sell it would be at least 30m+. Carroll may be better than him in a few years but at the moment think Gyan just edges it

Agree0 Disagree0

2 totally differant players Only similarities are they score goals but as for who the best goal scorer then that has to be carroll As for who worth the most then that has to be carroll too or gyan would have cost 35 mill too and as for who scored the most goals then again that is carroll. All true facts to be read

Agree0 Disagree0

No you wouldn't get £30m+ for him though.. How would you? He didn't shine last season, he was decent, but no better than most other strikers and worse than a lot. He did nothing to increase his value.

The reasons Carroll cost so much were:

1) English players are always overpriced.
2) He's young and a hot prospect, especially by getting 11 goals in half a season.
3) Liverpool were panic buying and had to get their man.
4) Fair play rules come in soon and Liverpool are going crazy whilst they still can.
5) Players always cost more in January.

His pricetag was totally screwed up and there is no way he's worth that, and neither is Gyan. Carrolls price can't be used as a benchmark for every player.

mike ashley has stopped selling NUFC shirts in his shops as no 1 from the carTOON army is buying them. he has however ordered extra stocks of SUNDERLAND shirts lol. FTM

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I was in Sports Direct the other day and the guy told me that the 10 Sunderland shirts on display for sale were the original 10 they ordered in. Said soon enough they were coming down to be used as dust rags as that's all they're good for much like the club itself. .

Agree0 Disagree0

Terrible comeback, back to the drawing board SGB

Agree0 Disagree0

Well. On the plus side it couldn't be any worse than the original "joke". Back to the colouring books, SMB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wont and don't shop in sports direct Its all cheap like lonsdale and everlast The 10 shirts that's in there of SAFC will be there forever cos they cheaper and nastier than a lonsdale hoodie

Agree0 Disagree0

Basically the reason SAFC shirts don't move out of Sports Direct is simple.
Why should we line the pockets of the Newcastle United owner when if we buy from SAFC outlets it benefits OUR club and not NUFC.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be but i think its cos its too up market for you lot unless you getting another lonsdale shell suit
