That's why Migs didn't get team of the year, if he was at the standard he normally, he could have kept out 4 or 5
Believable0
Unbelievable0
I agree with that! he's been brilliant this season but he had a mare tonight and should have kept out at least 4 of their goals!

we lost because villa played as we done against opponents in last 3 games. they seemed to want it more. PDC will fire them up for Stoke. still think Wigan will go down and we will be above mags.
Only plus is I have Benteke in my dream team

Does anyone else think we should go for Danny welbeck not getting a game at united I think he would be a good signing {Ed024's Note - Are you being serious AF would never let him go}
Believable0
Unbelievable0
We need a natural finisher who sprints into the box when there's half a chance
Agree0

Someone like benteke

There are better players than Welbeck in the Championship.

The only consolation is that the toon are now 4th bottom.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
But still on the same points as Sunderland. So not much of a consolation is it.
Agree0
Disagree0
No positives at all
We could have been 8 points clear and safe
But no, let's fu*k things up
Agree0
Disagree0
Can't see sess getting his red card overturned, hope I'm wrong, anyone know is whickams season over?need to stay calm put this result behind us and try AMD pick up points, wouldn't be Sunderland if we did things the easy way.
Agree0
Disagree0
Not much consolation that's true but, we still have 2 home games, you have 1 against Arsenal, best of luck.
Agree0
Disagree0
No game is easy now buddy regardless home or away. You could argue there is more pressure when you play at home.
Agree0
Disagree0
Its bad enough getting beat but 6-1! jesus!. and its damaged our good goal differance to boot as well as losing Sess 1. a very bad day at the office!

Them victory drums that have been banging all weekend have suddenly gone quiet. Shock! Have the fair weather returned to the woodwork?
Believable0
Unbelievable0
My drums still banging just hope wigan can put 2 wins together and just rember if ya go down on goal difference that it was safc who helped come on wigan
Agree0
Disagree0
So after that performance Sunderland still can't go down. So I Wouldn't be wishing anything for Wigan.
Agree0
Disagree0
Sunderland CAN still go down aswell as the toon. and I wouldn't bank on Wigan failing in their game in hand. and what is worse we have to go to Spurs last game!
Agree0

Toon play arsenal
Villa play Wigan!!!

Di Canio was a terrible idea.
The honeymoon period is over and its fair to say before this evening, it was the best it was ever going to get for Di Canio.
We need a manager with more experience next season.
I would like McClaren.
Its all down hill from here.
{Ed024's Note - Now now dont come on pretending to be a Sunderland fan when your a geordie - or you were at ten past five anyway}
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Or is it just one of those typical deluded sunderland fans? probs if it was o'neill who won those two games and lost 6-1 to villa you'd want his head again but just because its a new weak manager its ok is it?
Agree0
Disagree0
Cheers ed
Needed cheering up
Agree0

He's so obvioulsy black and white - why do they waste their time?
Agree0

The same reason you waste your time on us. Swings and roundabouts.

A defeat away from home is no big surprise but 6-1, that will test Di Canio. good chance of getting the red for Sess overturned. That said he plays for Sunderland not one of the top 4 so maybe not.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
I hope Di Canio gives them hell
Agree0
Disagree0
I don't mind getting beat but that performance has to be one of the worst of the season! I hope PDC gives the players a rolocking! we just didn't turn up and it doesn't give us much confidence without Sess for our next 2 games at home!

Ha HA Love to see the mackems get a hiding same again please. Geordie Dave {Ed024's Note - Surprised your laughing GD - have you looked at the table ? Arguably a worse result for Newcastle.}
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Agree with the Ed. never happy getting beat but if it sends the daft lads down I will live with it.
Agree0
Disagree0
I wouldn't laugh pal because that result makes your relegation a stronger possibilty. and look at Villas and your goal differance. if I was a mag supporter I would have wanted Sunderland to win!
Agree0

Send us down. Have you seen table. You on the same points. Is this something that escapes you lot. That result could send you down. Deluded.

So after a brief impersonation of a football team it is service as usual- another shapeless, clueless performance, tactically naive and lacking in spirit. And Mignolet as bad as anyone- goalkeeper of the season- on this display he would struggle to get into the women's team. Most depressing is that Paulo has had more than a week to prepare for this game and he looked as clueless as the players. We still have no plan B, which is all the more worrying as we don't have plan A either.
Believable0

Im a mag and I fear this comment was posted by another mag haha.

Troll alert.
Agree0

That was an abysmal performance we made Aston Villa look good!. worse still it battered our goal differance and Sess may miss the last 3 matches!. who do we play alongside Graham /?. the honey moon period is well and truly over now!. we could still go down 1
Agree0
Disagree0
What I don't understand is why you thought you couldn't down? Your on the same points as Newcastle. Confidence has taken a battering.
Agree0
Disagree0
Not a Mag, and fascinated by the level of interest shown by local supporters in each others teams. Is confidence in the north east so low that the only yardstick has become whether we do better than each other? I don't care if Newcastle win the league, I don't care if they are in division Two, it is how Sunderland are playing that interests me. And this past two seasons, we have rarely played well. Can we really not expect better for a wage bill in excess of £50 million? How long are these shameful displays going to continue?
Agree0
Disagree0
Iv always been wary
But now I might be nail biting time
This was a game to win, stoke next (they will do the same, give us a hard game) Southampton, looking good now

Absolute dogsh*t tonight. The defending was below poor. Villa wanted it more. Thought we would have won that one. Back in it now lads. Back pdc and his players. They'll get us out of it. {Ed024's Note - two home games - 1 win should do it.}

My team for tonight I would bring Larsson and Gardner on sometime in the second half but I think we need a good passer of the ball tonight in Vaughan I wasn't to impressed with Larsson last week other than a couple of decent free kicks he didn't have a good game I think its to soon to put Gardner back in don't want to change it to much if N'Diaye plays as good as he did against Everton the same with Colback he did a great job at right back we should win the game
Prediction; Aston Villa 1-3 Sunderland
Benteke Graham
Johnson
Sessegnon
Mignolet
Colback O'Shea Cuellar Rose
Johnson N'Diaye Vaughan McClean
Sessegnon
Graham
Subs
Westwood
Bardsley
Kilgallon
Mangane
Larsson
Gardner
Mandron
