Cisse has 2 goals this season. Ba has scored 1 own goal. Maths not your strong point then?

Sess flop? He had a bad time of late but awsome. Johnson flop? Played for the premier league champions last season and an england regular. How many england internationals are in your team?

Is he thought mcclean had 3 goals and gardner had one! not something to brag about your striker being the geordie slayer! MUPPET SGB!

Johnson? Played for Premier league champions? Yes on the bench. England regular? Yes on your Fifa 13.

Cisse will score more than sunderland's attack put together? So far I think it's Cisse 2 - Fletcher - 5... How bad was your maths teacher?

Johnson England regular? That's right He had a great Euro's. As for the Champions. He made more cups of tea than he made appearances.

Sorry didn't realize that being an England international was the holy grail of being a top footballer. Got Dutch, french, Italian internationals and some. All better sides than England.

Could people stop posting pointless things like "What are the chances of signing Maher?" He'd never join, he's been touted to join Barca or another European giant. Not a mid-table team.

Not sure why everybody is getting so over-pessimistic about our start to the season. We have only lost 1 game in 8, granted we have only won a game but we have picked up points in almost every game, which is more than can be said for QPR and Southampton... We are a mid-tabled side which will easily survive again this season, we've had a solid start with only 1 defeat in 8. We do lack in the final third I admit but IMO Martin O'Neill is still rebuilding Sunderland since Steve Bruce ****ed everything up by buying a whole new squad which had relatively no affect. All pundits believe Sunderland will stay up this season and comfortably as well... Keep the faith in O'Neill. We will soon begin to win more games.

Well only win more games when MON plays a 4-4-2 formation !...we might stay up but the supporters will be bored to death !

I thought you lot said agent Bruce built a squad for Europe? Which is it?
Agree7

Bruce had a decent squad but showed geordies are clueless when it comes to tactics then messed it up selling gyan and bent
Agree3

Cluesless? But at the beginning of that season you said Bruce had built a squad for Europe. So who is really the clueless one as I never agent Bruce once say he was looking to qualify for Europe. Maybe that should say clueless Mackems?
Agree7

U all said bruce out now u all saying mon is clueless i think all sunderland fans are clueless mon spent 12millon in the summer on four players 9 of the players playing against stoke are bruce's players give him time and sunderland will bee a top 6 said just look at villa now since mon left them

Think people are being harsh about the weekends performance. Stoke have only conceded 1 goal at home in the league this season(that was against city whos strike force cost more than our entire team) so a really bad game to try and judge our creativity. Our possession was up to 50% which is a clear improvement on previous performances. We had 3 shots on target. Swansea went there and had zero(and there biggest strength is there creativity). To the person who twisted about Bardsley not playing. Would you honestly want to risk him against a team like stoke. He is a massive player for us and to put him in for his return against the most physical team in the league could well have left us without him for another 6 weeks. We've lost one game. Yes we need to do much better creatively but once Bardsley is back and we can get Gardner across into the midfield we'll have more of an idea of how the team actually works. Even the top teams say a point away at Stoke is a good result. Lets just get behind O'Neil and the lads

1 shot on target. Lowest attempts across Europe. Yep lots of positives.

2nd best defensive record in the league. Our best and most consistent player for the last 3 seasons yet to come back into the team. Our best central midfielder yet to play in the midfield. Only one defeat. Unbeaten at home. When you're building a team you have to make them hard to beat first. Then you can start working on creativity. So I would say plenty to be positive about.
