My 2 outside bankers before the first game were Oxford and Preston to win the leagues. Oxford game was a bit of a freak result but certainly adds to my optimism.

Anyone know why sunderland aren't playing any local friendlies this year, such as Berwick, Blyth etc etc where a couple of new signings can get a run out and the people that can't afford to go to Hong Kong etc can see them in action

{Ed024's Note - PDC is big on team bonding - so he used the 'away from home distractions of a 'Italian Boot Camp, Hong Kong Tournament, or Danish Friendly' to bring the players together as a team}
Think Mr Short is trying to make us a global brand mate I agree with what your saying we should be playing a few games at home but the shirt sales abroad makes it a finacalliy sound idea to play in Hong Kong and Italy craigsafc

We not playing local friendlies coz we starting to learn that if you play bigger teams in tournaments abroad you expand your club brand, make new friends and you get good experience than playing rubbish teams like rio ave, blackpool and st mirren!
