So who do we think it was that Margaret Byrne was referring to in her recent interview.
“We were really close to one, ” admitted Byrne. “But that player had an injury which was only detected at the end of the process.
“It was all very amicable. Our medical department picked it up – decent player as well, to be fair – but we decided we couldn’t proceed.
“And as it turned out, that player still isn’t playing for their club, so it was the right decision to make.

Just read mon wants 2 fullbacks and a cb. can't wait for bramble and killgallon to be off the payroll. Who would your rb, lb and cb be? Realistic targets obviously. Safc93

Graphitewizz I wouldn't listen to your opinion if by law I had to. You posted on the filth rumours that sunderland are not above newcastle in the table adamant even now that they are not I bet, deluded/rose tinted spectacles.

Anyway Europe's most wanted? Yeah there's a que for Dawson, huth, hangeland and we are not capable of getting them a move from fulham and stoke isn't a step up is it.

Llorente is off to juventus

Talking to huth earlier in the season said there is no way he would move back to the north east mate so his a non starter

Richards will not leave for sunderland, top 6 minimum.
Wanyama is being watched by man united so you have no chance.
Ince will soon be snapped up by someone else bigger.
Llorente too good a player of quality and you will not pay his wages same with gomis. To attract those sort of players you need to play good football and get top 8. Sunderland are currently known as a relegation scrap team and mid table.

I am not a sunderland scout, owner, chief executive, manager etcI never said we are bidding for those players, they are examples of the quality needed.
Sunderland are capable of signing, Dawson, huth, hangeland,.
Ince. would come to sunderland to progress because he would get regular Prem football better than Liverpool bench where he is linked. He's dad already said he would only sell him to a team guaranteeing first team Footy.
Wanyama may be linked here there and everywhere but a move to sunderland is a step up.
Llorente may be out of reach but gomis is realistic we have a reputation for spending big on strikers in recent years.

Gomis, llorente, ince, wanyama are all out of your reach, with interest from juventus, man u, tottenham etc. they would not go to you.
