think we will win 3-0 tomorrow lads wonder what team mon will put out i think he wants a good cup run so should be pretty strong

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Boro into the 5th round! 2_1 to the boro who were actually the better side in the first game too!

Agree3 Disagree4

He he wanted to go for the cup, how come you didn't win the first game? Deluded

Agree2 Disagree2

Boro played the best they could in the first game sunderland havent played that bad in months so i see no better performance from boro but much improved from sunderland going 1-3

Agree3 Disagree2

Howcome newcastle didnt beat brighton? pardew said himself he wanted to win it and would even rest big players in the league

Agree1 Disagree0

I can see sunderland winning tonight, overall quality in the team is better than boro and sess is very very good, if sunderlands players turn up and put in a top performance it should be a comfortable win. Whatever team wins they hope they go on and represent the north east well.

Well said, If Boro do win, and not in a dirty bulling fashion , I for one would wish them well. I do however think we (Sunderland) will probably not play as bad as we did against them all season and if Boro couldnt beat us then they wont beat us this time either. We can play better, they have to ask themselves can they. If we play like we did against Norwich then there will only be one winner. Its a shame we were drawn against them . I would have love to have seen them progress against other teams and met them later for an even tastier round.

Agree3 Disagree0

MON himself states in todays media that no one should put any money on you to win the cup cos he says you 100% wont win it! read between the lines he concentrating on the league!

Agree1 Disagree2

It's called keeping his feet on the ground, of course he would love to win it, and who can say we wont have a good run, yes the league takes priority, but I bet he gets the team to give there all to get there no matter what the papers say, at least we are still in with a shout, sgb

Agree2 Disagree0

At the end of the day brighton 1-0 nufc
safc 1-1 boro how can newcastle come on here and say boro wer better team who cares it doesnt matter who plays better its who wins and goes through that matters now shhhhhhhhhhhhh :)

Agree3 Disagree0

How many cups are Newcastle in at the moment....oh yes NONE!

Agree5 Disagree0

Who is in the 5th round eh geordies?

Well the fa dismissed stoke's appeal for the red card. Not bad since meyler dived according to stoke and scum fans

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Hardly surprising is it. If it was a Man United player it would have been overturned the same day. You don't honestly believe it was a sending off?

Agree3 Disagree2

Sounds like a foolish mag above proved that they full of s**t saying it was a dive, proved that the FA agree with sunderland that Huths challenge was reckless, shame they don't do Pulis for his comments and Fuller and shawcross for violent conduct towards our players!

Agree3 Disagree2

Sounds like a deluded Mackem above if you really think it was a sending off. Wood for trees spring to mind.

Agree2 Disagree3

The FA looked at it and agreed with the original decision. They will have checked it from every angle and took statements from all involved.
Now that decision has been made by the FA, Pulis should be fined for bringing the game into disrepute. He could have said he was asking the FA to look at the challenge and left it that , but to slander an opposing player is a disgrace. If the FA dont do anything about Pulis, Myler should sue him!

Agree3 Disagree0

Theyve upheld his ban cos the tackle was uncontrolled due the weather! thats why he was sent off not cos of the contact! wreckless is the letter of the law and also the picyure does show meyler diving over him then dying on the pitch then jumping staright up after the red card so obviously playing on it therefore a cheat!

Agree1 Disagree2

Stoke play horrible football. All down to Pullis. Teams now know how to play against his tactics and I see Stoke struggling in the future.

Agree2 Disagree0

Probably Pullis trying to take peoples minds off the defeat.
He is just like Warnock, cant see wrong in his own players.
Great manager potential for the Mags, they are all deluded too.

Agree2 Disagree0

Myer hurt himself in the tumble on a rock hard pitch! It was a reckless challenge and the FA agree. Now the FA should do their job further and punish Pulis.
Malcolm MacDonald on The 3 Legends last night asked an interesting question (for once) Are Stoke the new Wimbledon? Now their game has been sussed as well as their bully boy tactics , they have been losing more often of late. I see them struggling for the rest of the season and next season with out a regime change I see them as next seasons relation fodder, down amongst the dead men.

2009
Spend - £24.5m
Net spend - £11.8m
Premier League Position - 2009 / 10 - 13th

2010
Spend - £16.2
Net spend - £0.5m
Premier League Position 2010 / 11 - 10th

2011
Spend - £27.45m
Net spend - £6m

Seeing as you lot talk about how little ashley spends look at the small amount you have spent since Ellis Short took full control in 2009, he sold your best striker in bent, loaned out gyan and replaced them with whickham, bendtner and dong. Hardly like sunderland through money around. Not having a go just making a point that you dont spend a fortune either and that Short hasn't actually put that much money into the club.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Short spent 13.2m out of his own pocket for Gyan and we got 6m for Gyans loan, another little geordie child trying to make a pointless point. back to bed Jnr

Agree2 Disagree2

Look at the 3 years b4 that when Kean was in charge he wasted a fortune.

Agree1 Disagree0

Whats the point in going back to then? should I go back to the keegan days when he wasted a fortune and you still didn't win anything, its past, it's also well known that bruce got more money on sales than what he spent, O'neill should have a nice transfer warchest for the summer!

Agree1 Disagree0

Aye, Super Kevin Keegan bankrupted your club and when he couldnt get money from Agent Ash he ran away with his tail between his legs and in full pet lip mode. He did sue your owner successfully however later if I remember correctly. I fell its only a matter of time before the shambles return back to the Mags club when they dont get into to Europe and when Sunderland finish above them again. That poor tree and phone box in the big market.... How I fear for them when the toon kicks off again.

Agree1 Disagree0

Shambes return? Best run team in the premiership. As for Keegan running, sounds like a certain MON at Villa. SMB

Agree2 Disagree2

What a stupid reply to my original post....i was just showing that Short hasn't spent that much of his own money in total since taking full control in 2009....he sold your top striker last jan and then loaned out gyan (for godo money) but didnt replace them.....that is not ambition

Agree0 Disagree1

Best ran team? explain please. does your club not owe ashley millions as he is only lending his money to the club not giving it like short

Agree2 Disagree2

It is the best ran club in the PL and one of the only one if not the only making a profit. As for us owning Ashley money. MA owns the club so how can he be owed money. He didn't lend the club money, he put his own money in which is secured against the club so when he sells he will get his money back.

Agree2 Disagree1

When he sells cpuld be a while after he names your team sports direct utd and also he is owed 161m or something like that and noway are newc9st1e worth 161m, he couldn't even sell them for 80m 2 years back

4th March......6-1 to the toon, ba hattrick, cisse 2 and wes brown OG

Believable5 Unbelievable3

And you goon army fans call us deluded

Agree3 Disagree2

Why not we hit you for 5 last time.
nar i reckon it will be a close win for the toon...
theres a lot of bitter sunderland fans out there isnt there.some have turned to brining up score lines from over a 100 years ago,now thats just pathetic...

Agree3 Disagree3

As is relying on 1 score line in every conversation

Agree3 Disagree0

We have only ever lost by 1 goal this season so what makes you lot think you can beat us by more when we have went up against better teams and better players

Agree1 Disagree0

Why not rely on 1 score line one of the best one sided matches I can remember...fantastic day I would love to see a repeat this year ....but I think it will be a lot closer Toon win it should be a great game with 2 in form teams...really looking forward to it

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly you bring up 5-1 and we bring 1-9, at the end of the day they both past scores, what happens between now and the end of the season that matters, but I fancy us to beat you lot 1-3 at the SPORTS DIRECT ARENA! sess, campbell and gardner special, with Ba scoring your goal.

Agree4 Disagree0

No way will it be a walk over the way u delunded sgb are talking. By the way it will be like we are playing at home, at the Sportsdirect Arena Football Club. SAFC

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree both past scores with a difference.......I saw the 5-1 and will never forget it, don't think you can remember the 9-1.... we went on to win the league that year ........so what's more important...just wondering derby score or final league position

Agree1 Disagree0

Well let's imagine if you beat us twice in a season but we finish higher than you, you lt will say derby match is more important, but if we beat you twice and you finish higher than us you'll say the league positions more important. Thats the sign of a Small club!

Agree2 Disagree1

Have to agree with that most Mackems would rather beat us twice than win a trophy

Agree1 Disagree1

Well thats sounds like the SMB's excuses already. You don't have the chance to beat us twice this season.

Agree1 Disagree2

It wont feel like a home game to either the SCUM fans or the players. The ground whatever you call it will be full. Something you and your players know nothing about. Most likely the reason why the SMB's bottle the derby. You can lip read the sunderland players saying, " is this what it is like to play in a full stadium". SMB.

Agree3 Disagree3

Is this guy a mag or a mackem?^ cant tell which! as a mackem I'd say finishing ahead of the other team in the league is most important, yes its nice to win derbies but TOP DOG status is the main aim and to finish as high as possible in the league

Agree2 Disagree2

Most sgb forget BRUCE (the terrified to beat the geordies geordie) isnt in charge any more to pick team and make dodgy subs and have no tactics

Agree3 Disagree0

I think it's pretty obvious he is a MAG. Good honest statement also.

Agree3 Disagree0

Did the Capt Mannering (sic) fella start this thread? its got his stamp all over it!

Agree1 Disagree2

Im a safc fan but i must admit we cant play darby matches its cos we have no younguns

I'm only 19 so I may be wrong but hasn't mon made the best start to his managerial career at Sunderland than any other manager? Any of you older fans feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Someone (On Here?) said it was the best start of a Sunderland Manager in 100 years. I dont know if its a fact but that was before the game with Stoke so that stat is still growing! (If its true?)
