my mate just started his own agency and is doing well that well that he has just been approached by mike ashley to see if he can get him a couple of players as his not having much luck with his scouts. message on site says football players required aged 16 to 25 on tempory contracts meets minimum wages could lead to permane

Never posted on the Sunderland version of this site before as I'm a Liverpool fan (I do post the odd wishlist over on the LFC site though), but I'm just going to pass on what I overheard about 30mins ago as I know people who come to any versions of these sites love some true, honest information from time to time.

I'm just back from Naas driving range here in Kildare and Niall Quinn was hitting balls beside me. I don't know the guy, only to see around the town and at the range, so I thought I'd leave him be as he probably gets sick and tired of keeping up appearances with the locals. I did overhear him talking to a guy called Ray though (also a regular up at Naas driving range). He seemed to know Niall a little bit. After some general golf chat (how ya hitting etc, etc) Ray did the typical nosy Irish person thing of politely asking about someones business in a jokey non intrusive way. Ray said, 'Jaysus you seem to be buying the whole of the Premiership over there, wha?' Niall's response was a polite laugh and, "No, no, that's us done now. I'm away on holiday."

So, there you go. I myself would doubt he'd discuss any of Sunderland's business with a local he knows from around the range. . . .but he did seem pretty sincere when saying that it was all done.

By the way, he hits a pretty sweet golf ball effortlessly Lucky fella.

-Shane.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Would be surprised but ye never know on the north east news tonight the report from sunderland after the vaughan deal was complete is expect another couple of signings

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah yeah, as I said, I doubt he'd discuss anything while at the driving range with a guy he only half knows, (and in my own personal opinion I don't think Sunderland are done with transfers either), but they were the words from the great man's mouth. Interpret them as you choose.

I just said I'd pass on the overheard conversation as I always enjoy reading 'In The Know' information over on the Liverpool page. . . . .although I'm not any way in the know with regards Sunderland, just happen to be beside Quinn for half an hour

-Shane.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he was right, he is done for now, doesn't mean that business hasnt already been done to be annouced later after he and possible signings or the agents come back from their hols. . . After all, we have had a lot of media intrest, why not let the dust settle and in a week or so start the whole thing off again.

There is nothing in the world funnier than a Mackem trying to argue a point lmao. This board is pure comedy. No matter what you say the only responses you get are:

"SGB"
"olol ur deluted"
"go bak to ur own paij dis are paij"
"u gordies r just jelous coz we got munny 2 spend"
"toon gan doon lol"
"u spitted yor dummy again lol"
"yeh we spend munny u sgbs juts buy frog playas lol"

Seriously, 99% of you are a bunch of f***ing illiterate morons.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Muckems are known around the UK for being a bit backward and unclean, i know a lot of people who have had Scumderland visit their city to watch their team and say they are a VERY POOR SECOND to the Newcastle lads, and that they smell of BO. Thats why they are known as tramps and cheesey chip eaters

Agree0 Disagree0

Police and RSPA officials are very pleased to welcome Scumderlands new signing Ji Dong Wong Tong to their village as they say it will get the stray dog population down as it is a favourite dish of his homeland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ho way man, the lassies arnt that bad in scumderland

Agree0 Disagree0

Well banter is banter at the end of the day both sides have bought players for the new season and a don't know about anyone else but i am looking forward to how both teams fair in the coming season. Both derby games will be very interesting for both sets of fans. Both teams will do well it would also be good if both teams could face each other on the european stage.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, banter is banter, but they could at least try and make it funny. Or change the record every now and then. Doesn't even make sense half of the time.

Geordie: "I hear we're bidding for Shane Long"

Mackem: "lol u gordies r deluded u only gonna sing champinship players"

I know there are idiots on both sides, and a lot of the Newcastle rumours are unrealistic but some of the s**t you see from the Mackems almost makes you lose faith in humanity. Lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reading these post i can see why everyone puts sgbs in there posts just what geordies are whats worse than a geordie somebody from durham who calls himself a sad geordie b****** durham red and white and proud to be from durham land of the prince bishops

Agree0 Disagree0

Goon army posts r personal attacks on peoples education or hygiene?? THOUGHT THIS WAS ABOUT FOOTBALL BANTER AND WHO HAS THE BEST TEAM??? FTM

Agree0 Disagree0

HOW can any geordie call any1? mackems write the way we speak, its called "slang". wot ABOOT YOOS LIKE EH, GIT GANNING DOON THE TOON WITH WOR LASS, I KEN , TOM etc etc. THE ROMANS BUILT HADRIANS WALL TO KEEP THE JOCKS OUT OV ENGLAND, BUT OBVIOUSLY U LOT CLIMBED OVER AT WALLSEND. IF WILLIAM WALLACE HAD WON THE BATTLE, U LOT BE WEARING KILTS & RANGERS/CELTIC SUPPORTERS. FTM

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats the best one yet mate, well done. You write the way you speak? Do you all speak like mongoloids then? Half of the posts don't even make an ounce of sense, even if you can translate them into some form on English.

wigan have put statement out that no offers have come for nzogbia and the club are in no hurry to sell unless a high offer comes in as they rate him as the best left footed player in the league also defoe has just won planning permission to build a 4.5million pound house in essex with its own nightclub so think both of these are non starters with relationship with man utd seeming good i think now would be the right time to put in offer for berbatov as we could do with someone with premiership experiance upfront this would help bring on gyan won wickham and noble. not a crouch fan but he would also help the named players

Charles Nzogbia has just twitted saying he is not in Seaham but 35 mile outside of Wigan :-(

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No it was put on lastnight. where do you get the 35 mile from and it is bull, most the n'zogbia pages are fan made

Agree0 Disagree0

Nzgobia lives in cheshire which is roughly 35 mile from wigan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok, but how did you know he was at home? he could of been dogging or something for all you know.lol

I find it very funny that the mags are all over this forum, hey lads get yourself on your own boards and you can talk about your big news, collcini is captain, WOW

N'Zog and Defoe will sign for Sunderland by the end of next week.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Defoe is still training with Spurs. And N'Zogbia has been "signing by the end of next week" for the past month, lmao.

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like we not after them, not bothered really if there wages are a joke then I'm sure Quinny and Bruce will get a top left winger and Striker in. It's time he spent the big money now on real quality

We Won once and
How long Since.
both players are on bosnian deals

That joke is older than your 9-1 derby win, and what is a "bosnian deal"? You goon.

Got to give credit to steve niall and the board excellent work weve brought some top quality players into the team, now if we can get N'zogbia and a top class striker like Defoe we can expect really good things from Sunderland next year HA WAY THE LADS FTM

Believable6 Unbelievable0

See that is where Sunderland are going wrong. They think Defoe is a top class striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

And screwcastle fans are saying that they don't want him, if he signed for scumcastle then all geordie's will think he is the best thing since sliced bread. Very Bitter geordie's and of course extremely jealous

Agree0 Disagree0

Its funny how good he was on your pages last week when yous were linked with him

Agree0 Disagree0

To a lot of Newcastle fans he probably is good. But I don't think so, and I've replied to someone else post why I feel that way. I don't want us to sign him, there are far better for 10m.

Bear in mind they suspended betting on N'Zogbia to Liverpool a few weeks back.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's coming to Sunderland don't listen to any of that s**te they know nothing, zog and defoe on there way to wearside get in

Agree0 Disagree0

WRONG. the zog says on his twitter page lastnight he was in wigan not seaham, try checking his twitter before posting utter lies

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't you get back to your own site and talk about all your frog eater signings x

Agree0 Disagree0

What young french internationals. .
yous have signed complete rubbish, brown and oshea are laughing all the way to the bank.oshea wiil be 36 when is contract runs out, brown 35. ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Never heard of any of them, and oshea and brown have won more trophies than your entire club has in history so shhhhhh

Agree0 Disagree0

O'Shea and Brown have contributed almost nothing to Uniteds trophy wins. Fact.

O'Shea is solid, Brown is ok. But don't feed us that s***e line about how many trophies they've won because its bollocks. {Ed016's Note - The Year Man utd won the champions League against Chelsea Wes brown played more games than anybody in the whole team}

Agree0 Disagree0

"ALMOST nothing". What, one season? So?

You can't justify signing an average/decent player based on "well he played for a team who won trophies".

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jul 2011 12:11:59
bruce is making me feel very uneasy, we have brought in 9 players who are of average quality, and will take time to settle and gel.bruce has done this at other clubs and it whent pear shaped.
hes went for quantity of quality. .

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Its added depth for you at least, which you lack. No real top class players though, Gardner is a very good buy at least.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop talking b****cks, every mackem I seem to know are buzzen about us signing these players, average? get your head checked

Agree0 Disagree0

Get your frog eater signings checked there s**te na ones never heard of them

Agree0 Disagree0

I like everyone had heard of ding dong.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mags ganin down. good season 4 the black cats. ftm

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that all you idiots can say? "Yous are getting relegated"? Change the record, dummy. You said it last season and were wrong, you said 6 easy points last season and were wrong, yous said you would get into Europe last season and were wrong. I see a pattern emerging, don't you?

Most of those signings are average, I dunno why you are making to out to be anything but. Gardner and Larsson are exceptions, they are both good players. But calling Wickham, Vaughan and Dong anything other than average is bulls**t. We'll see just how good they are, if they prove me wrong, so be it.

Agree0 Disagree0

We said it 3 seasons ago and we were right tho :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow once in your entire lifetime? Well done.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jul 2011 11:35:48
So Mackems, have you realised that you are a bunch of hypocrites yet? When we were looking at Shane Long and Taylor you were all saying "loololl buying Championship players". Now lets review your signings so far:

Vaughan: Championship
Larsson: Championship
Gardner: Championship
Wickham: Championship
Dong: Some nobody from Korea

Massive, massive irony there ha . Bet you've all changed your tunes.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

You talking a load of b****cks.they were premiership last year apart from wickham and Dong won, gardner scored 10 goals in the premiership last year, Larsson played most games for birmingham and has quality set pieces, Vaughan was Blackpools player of the year last year in the premiership. You geordie's are really starting to bite about us signing all these players. Jealousy I think so SGB

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought charlie adam was blackpools player of the year, jelous of what your signing players who are 30 ana 31 on long contracts and massive wages. yous are the next portsmouth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hang on a minute, lets look at who played in the premier league last year, hmmm Vaughan, Larsson, Gardner. Ooohh Wickham has England honours at his age level as has Dong Won. Lets look at all facts before posting sillyness shall we

Agree0 Disagree0

Vaughan was Blackpool Player of the Year, ahead of Charlie Adam you muppet. . .

Agree0 Disagree0

How many games did all of them play in the championship last season like ha exactly they played in the premireship your jealous you have just signed a load of flops from france there will be dead frogs all over your stadium

Agree0 Disagree0

Linked to long that's all you are mcdermott came out last week and stated that sunderlands offer of 7 million was laughable and long was going knowhere unless someone came in with a bid of 10mill so how on earth the sgbs are going to afford that is unbelievable but ye rumours did say ye offered money and best for him rumour has it mcdermott said who is best i wouldn't give ye f*** all for him. come into real world its a good job the teams coming up are not showing any adventure in transfer market or the mags would be favs to get relegated ftm

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, I realise they were in the Prem last season you dingbat. But they got relegated.

Besides, the point I was making wasn't that they are bad players. But since you are far too stupid to get that I'll explain it to you simply.

Step 1: NUFC scout Long and Taylor

Step 2: Mackems say "ololol u'z r s**t signing champnship playrs lol gun get releg8d"

Step 3: Sunderland sing Championship players.

Step 4: Sunderland fans think these players are brilliant signings and totally fail to realise how hypocritical they have been, by laughing at NUFC.

Get it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's clear this up. We have signed some cship players and yous are after a couple so whats the argument?

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact that you laughed at us for chasing Championship players then totally change your tune when yous start signing them. I'm not saying yous are in the wrong for signing them, just that Sunderland fans are being hypocrites. No argument really, just an observation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your point you trying to make is pathetic and border line insane, we couldn't give a crap about taking the mick out of you for signing championship players. the players we have signed have shown they can do it in the premiership so what Blackpool and Birmingham are now championship but are you saying that Vaughan, Larsson and Gardner are the players responsible for sending them down? exactlyt insane as it takes a full team of players to do that.Wickham and Dong-won haven't had premiership experience but they both look good and should make the transition well. now stop crying and biting and being jealous and do us top dogs a favour b****r off onto the Screwcastle page

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate, I can't debate with someone who is such an obvious moron. When we were first linked with Taylor and Long our pages were flooded with Mackems taking the piss out of us for signing Championship players, if you are so ignorant that you'll deny it then so be it, but I'm right.

I guess all of those mackem t**ts who were posting it "couldn't give a s**t" either, that's why they were there every day doing it.

There is no evidence that Dong will make the transition well, he might. If he does, good for you. Wickham doesn't even have a good Championship scoring record so there is no way I'd gamble 8m on him.

If you can't see my point then you are just plain ignorant.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jul 2011 11:31:39
SAFC confirm vaughn singed 3yr deal, the mag scum confirm colo is new captain lol

Believable0 Unbelievable0

"Singed" a 3 year deal? What did he really not want to play for Sunderland that badly that he burned the contract?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha , good one. It will fall on stony ground here though, bit to witty for these Mackem divis. They'll all just be sitting there scratching their heads like "Duuhh wat dis meen?"

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha wow these geordie's are funny. wow I can't stop laughing. guess what I think is funnier seeing the mag fans crying over us spending money, wondering where there 35m has gone and basically them being an absolute joke. Good Times for us Mackems. Now now geordie's dummies back in if you will. SGBS

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like someone doesn't get the joke. Look up "singed" in the dictionary pal and have a laugh or two instead of using your tired old spit the dummy line. If wit was s**t you'd be constipated.

By the way are you the same guy who wrote that oh so clever Newcastle poem? That really was top notch, my 5 year old nephew would struggle a bit to come up with something like that. I mean, he'd get there in the end, but kudos to you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Eyecatching signings, but one big problem. Sunderland have a very average manager. Bruce is worth a bet to be first prem manager to get the sack if new signings don't deliver quickly.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Bruce should be sacked anyway. The guy is an idiot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get bent geordie muppets, talking sh*t as usual

Agree0 Disagree0

Norwich and swansea will stick with there manager through the season wigan and villa will give theres time moyes is a legend at everton sames as pulis hodgson job is safe bruce will not leave that leaves pardew and warnock for first for the chop reckon if ye back both ye will make a profit but favour warnock if qpr get off to a bad start double em up with rikho at ffos las on sunday

Agree0 Disagree0

I have friends who are Sunderland fans and even they acknowledge how tactically inept Bruce is. If you are so deluded that you can't see that, then so be it. But Steve Bruce is NOT a good manager and anyone who knows anything about football will tell you that?

Tell me, what has he ever achieved? Relegated Birmingham, got Wigan to midtable, got Sunderland to midtable. Is that a good manager? Not really.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wigan to midtable is quite an achievement, I'd love to see Ferguson or Wenger do that with the funds Bruce had there. Bruce the past 2 years has got us away from the relegation battles and put us as a comfortable mid table team/top ten team, now we are looking to build on that and next season we will. Last season we got too many injuries and didn't have good enough players to cover the ones who were injured, now we have got more cover and some real good signings. the future is red and white. SGBS

Agree0 Disagree0

News Flash. Wenger doesn't spend that much money. And if you are for 1 second insinuating that Alex Ferguson is inferior to Steve Bruce then you are seriously delusional. Alex Ferguson is a phenomenal manager and could maintain a measure of success with any team. Whether that was winning trophies with a top club, or midtable with a team like Wigan.

Bruce is a very poor manager and lacks the talent to be anything but midtable.
