Hi ed
Do you know roughly the wage we offered to peruzzi and what type of wage he is looking for?
Also who would everyone have as captain next year if cattermole is sold or even if he stays? I would love to see big alf n'diaye handed the captaincy but think it will be o'shea.
Any fellow mackems want to have there comments then get involved! Who would your captain be ed?
Cheers ed mate
Dave the mackem {Ed024's Note - No idea wage Peruzzi was offered but it will be similar to that offered to Cabral, Diakite, Roberge etc + he gets 15% signing on fee !!!!!! - so he has nowt to complain about - I'm giving him benefit of doubt that he's been badly advised by his agent - but if he's asking silly money he can stay where he is for me. Captain - O Shea if he PDC is intending to play him }

O'shea and diakite at the back will be solid next season. Hope O'shea keeps the captaincy as he lead by example last season and give 110% to the. cause. Safc93

Ed do you think it's a good idea signing loads of players like we are, I am excited but worried at the same time because if you look at the teams who buy a lot seem not to do well as the players carnt gel in time, example qpr. {Ed024's Note - We had to make changes after last season - it may be a rollercoaster ride but at least we need to be working to a set strategy now.}

So looks like we've missed out on both Mendy and Peruzzi now. Need to concentrate on getting Rose in ASAP. Am I right in thinking that Cavanda is a right back? If so, him and Rose.
Just glad PDC is trying to get the business done as early as possible. Brucie or MON would have left all of this until the last minute, we'd get turned down, and end up with some panic buys. Even though these 2 players seem to have turned us down, at least there is still plenty of time to concentrate on other targets!!

Don't give up on the Peruzzi deal yet, still trying to thrash out a deal
Both clubs are desperate for the deal to happen, no Point in staying at a club where you aren't wanted

I for one can totally understand why Kone chose Everton over Newcastle. Notwithstanding the relationship with his previous manager, Everton is simply a bigger club in the one aspect that really matters; success.
Since their first post-war trophy win in 1963, Everton have been : champions of England (4), FA Cup winners (3), European Cup Winners Cup (1). In that time period Newcastle have won nothing.
So, a 'no brainer' for Kone.

Apparently Ladbrokes puts us joint favourites for the drop next season along with Crystal Palace!

Not so, Palace, Hull, Cardiff, Norwich, Stoke all have much worse odds.

With Fulham now interested in signing Darren Bent he must be odds on to sign for them and not Newcastle.
The argument is, with all those bright lights down there, he'd be much better off at a wee team in London than a wee team in the North East.

''Boom Boom''?
Why did you add that, did you think that was funny?
You wrote the same thing on the Newcastle page and did not get 1 response.
That sounds like something you would pull out of a Xmas cracker.

The only Christmas cracker you're going to get Geordie is Joe Kinnear, when he takes over as interim manager.
