i can't believe this manager! he says we played well when we got beat again!. plays one up front. again!. we got what we deserved. nothing !and again played one half!. we can't go on watching this boring manager play boring football! its unacceptable Martin!. we will be dragged into the relegation battle unless he starts being more positive on the field!

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Put down on a piece of paper the 22 players that were on the pitch yesterday and pick one team out of them and I bet the majority are Arsenal that's why we got beat because they have better players when are our supporters going to understand that we are not a top flight team and you should support what we have at this time, hopefully we can gradually become a top 6 side but it takes time. ( compare our players with the opposition )

Thought the team were brill today.

Everyone worked hard, and I think we have a 50/50 chance of staying up.

Thank goodness we have MON.

I do not want to imagine where we would be without him.

Jeez.

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Your joking aren't you?

Agree3 Disagree4

You have to remember we were playing Arsenal.

Mon deserves more credit than he gets.

Jeez.

Agree4 Disagree4

Jeez you are having a laugh mate. We were garbage for 75 mins only tried last 15 mins. We are in same shape now as we were under bruce. Clueless no plan be without mon we would be higher up the table. Too old fashioned stubborn and pig headed for his own good. We need a manager who admits when he gets it wrongband is prepared to try something new

Agree3 Disagree4

Under MON we have produced some of the worst football we have played for years. He is utterly clueless- has no tactics, overly defensive, totally uninspiring and has had much stronger support than his pathetic organisation of the team has deserved. The team has many weaknesses, but O'Neill himself is a major weakness. Of course he might do better if he had the Arsenal squad to manage, but he never will have, so stop telling us he would be better if the squad was. In fact many of them have performed better under other managers than they do for him- they are poor because his management is poor.

Agree3 Disagree5

Not my post. Someone using my name.
As I said earlier, can't believe situation with strikers. One striker in, three out.
Losing faith in Mon tactics or lack of.
When Arsenal went down to ten men Graham should have come on straight away, not 10 mins later. It was Arsenal so not all doom and gloom, but I am concerned that MON is the man we hoped he would be.

JIZZzzzzzz.

Agree2 Disagree4

I am the real Jeez.

Someone pretending to me using the name Jizz.

Must be a disgruntled Mag.

You know I am the real Jeez because I always support MON.

C'mon the Sunderland.

Agree4 Disagree1

All I can say is some fans on here think MON is the messiah!. can't belive the naivity!. we are lucky to be in 13th position with the negative one up front football. sheer luck will keep us up this season. not MONS ability if you call it that. as a manager!

Agree2 Disagree3

Dont know whether to be pleased or p*ssed off that someone is using my name. Just shows that I am getting up some pathetic Mags nose.
Disgruntled is a big word for a Mag. I am really concerned about this one as he can actually write words of more than four letters, obviously better educated than most of them. Probably not a schoolboy, just childish.
It should make us all aware of Mags appearing on our site trying their best to wind us up. isn't that right Kay?

JIZZzzzzzz.

Agree0 Disagree3

Who is JIZZzzzzzz? and why is he pretending to be me?

Anyways, let's get behind Sunderland & MON.

Forget about the Skunks trying to hijack our page.

Jeez.

i see Catts is playing today!. the refs going to put his name in the book before the game to save time during the match! lol!

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Sadly you were exactly right- the headless chicken's only consistent contribution is to referees' notebooks. Another desperately poor half, shameful lack of ambition for a home team. We are dreadful. O'Neill is the least inspiring manager in the League, and his team is the least committed. If Short thinks this tripe is acceptable maybe we need a new owner too.

Agree3 Disagree3

Again and again and again. Fletcher looked lost in the first half playing alone! only when we went 4-4-2 we looked good!.

Agree3 Disagree0

And guess what Catts gets booked in the first minute!. I rest my case!

Agree3 Disagree0

On another day Fletch would have had a hattrick!. can't believe how many chances he missed! very unlike him. he had an off day!

Just watching Spurs v Mags. There is no doubt that the Mags have better players than we do in many areas, are better organised and have a much more positive attitude. And they picked up most of these players for less than we threw at Graham, because they have an intelligent transfer policy. They might well get nothing from today's game, but they went to one of the strongest clubs in the league and competed, they did not just string the team across the pitch and hope for a crumb on the break. I can't remember when we showed that kind of confidence and enterprise against a good side- setting the team up not to concede against the like of Bolton seems to be the best we can manage. That is why O'Neill has to go- he does not know what football looks like, and and can't seem to put any confidence into the players either.

Believable14 Unbelievable5

Agree with those comments ! you can't compete in the Premiership with just passion graft and running around like a headless chicken!. you need skill. paticular in midfield where we are far short of creative skillfull players. otherwise eventually your luck will run out!

Agree8 Disagree0

I know the saying one man doesn't make a team but it does at spurs if bale moves on then spurs would be mediocre

Agree4 Disagree1

They still lost and scored a lucky deflection goal, well done spurs but we were terrible against arsenal

Agree2 Disagree7

If they are a better team with better players that are more organised. how come they are below us in the league? These comments are nonsensical, like most of the posts complaining against MON on here.
We couldn't play 2 up front against Arsenal, their midfield is world class - fact!
How many teams in the PL play with two strikers . none! fact!
Talk about Swansea and how good they are, that team has been nurtured for years. MON inherited championship players, give the man a chance ffs!

Agree0 Disagree6

Newcastle are only below sunderland because they made a mistake in the summer for not adding to their squad. Europa league made more players tired and they had about 11 players out injured, imagine if everton had like fellaini, pienaar, jagielka, baines etc. out injured! Newcastle are playing with confidence because we are becoming a top 7 side and have good quality. You can't just give the tactic to sunderland's players and expect them to play good attacking football. Pardew has developed a side to do that. Players like bramble, bardsley, gardner, colback, kilgallon won't fit into a stylish attacking side, hence why we had simpson williamson, because they didn't have the confidence and started playing hoofball!

Absolutely unbelievable. WHY is MoN playing 4-5-1 again today?! You just bought Danny Graham as back up by the looks of things Mr Mon. Graham is having the same amount of game time here as he did with Swansea. Poor Mon. poor. I still think Mon should stay but jeewiz he needs to switch things up a bit.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

We are against arsenal why would we pay too attacking he will play 2 up top against the lesser or similar sides

Agree4 Disagree1

Mind against Arsenal you could argue for against the 4-5-2 system but against teams like Reading we should have gone 4-4-2 and gone for it!MON is too cautious!

Agree4 Disagree0

4-5-2? is the Mig getting dropped like? haha : )

I would play like this today i'm in all favour of attacking football 4-3-1-2 I must admit i'd feel a lot more comfertable in this formation if cattermole was in instead of N'Diaye but let's give it a try especially on a day where Arsenal's defence is no where near its best with both of there best centre backs out.

Mignolet

Gardner O'Shea Bramble Rose

Johnson N'Diaye Vaughan

Sessegnon

Fletcher Graham

Believable1 Unbelievable6

Id have: -

Migs
Gardner Mangane Bramble Rose
Johnson Catts Ndiaye Sess
Fletcher Graham

Agree1 Disagree2

Not you're being silly.

We need to play 5-4-1 to havea chance of taking at least a point.

We need to sit back and soak up the pressure.

If it is still 0-0 after 60 minutes, take Fletcher off and play 6 at the back and 5 in midfield, no point having someone chasing shadows up front.

A draw would be great, but tbh I would be happy if it just does not end up being a silly scoreline.

Keep the faith.

Jeez.
