Agree5 Disagree4

I hope Colback goes, he's rubbish

Agree2 Disagree5

Jack Colback is a very talented footballer who can improve with time. Also the lad is red and white and always has been. there was only one club he would sign for and that was Sunderland. He is a very versitile player. I hope he stays.

Ed, if insigne comes what do you think will happen with aj. Do you think PDC will play insigne and giaccherini or something else

Believable0 Unbelievable6

{Ed024's Note - Insigne wont come]

Ed, the way this summer is going for us, anything is possible

AJ=right wing
Insigne=Left wing
Giaccherini=link up player for strikers (Sess replacement)

Agree1 Disagree3

If we sign Insigne ill eat my house lol!

Agree9 Disagree1

Mmmmmmmmmmm house

lucas orban could still be on his way to sunderland people saying he has signed for river plate which has not happened yet with river plate who have a 50% share in the player needing to buy the other 50% from tigre hopefully he will decide on sunderland and fly over on sunday with peruzzi. Also mendy has not yet signed for Marseille he spoke to them last week but they have not matched our offer in wages and fee le havre want so this deal could still happen.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Bviously the 2 who clicked the unbelievable don't read reports from media these were in yesterdays papers have a look about the internet you might find something to put on here most posts come from there

Agree1 Disagree2

12 Jul 2013 18:03:01
Ed, did we actualy put a 5.5m bid in for Lorenzo insigne a while back.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed024's Note - We may have enquired but no bid placed.}

12 Jul 2013 17:16:37
Hearing Wolfsberg are after Wickham on loan with an option to buy. This might give us some room to get Dost coming the other way. What you think Ed?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

{Ed024's Note - I'd be surprised if Wolsberg wanted Wickham}

12 Jul 2013 16:05:21
ok ed there is a big word going round that sunderland are interested in signing maxi lopez the source is the same guy from the Italian media that said we were after giaccherin this is supposed to be 100% genuine have you heard anything mate

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed024's Note - Very little on Lopez.}

In talks with torino.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jul 2013 18:02:15
Ed, are there any good concrete sources or websites reporting that we are intrested in lorenzo insigne.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed024's Note - Not that i can find.}

12 Jul 2013 17:19:46
Ed is 6.8 million not a bit much for a 28 year old?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed024's Note - Players are fitter and playing for longer than ever before - age is not as relevant as in the past - only his performances will determine whether he was worth the meney.}

Van persie?

Apparently Barack Obama is going to be at the first Home match of the season. Special invite from Ellis short as he's a big fan of soccer sorry football and the premier league and wants to see Altidore in action who is massive in the USA.

Great celebrity fan lol not like it matters like its Newcastle who are obsessed with ant and Dec etc and jimmy nail and so called celebrities.

Imagine Obama with he's safc Top on haha cheering the lads.

My mate who lives in New York told me its in the news over there. He also told me the Americans are going crazy over sunderland and sees sunderland tops everyday since Altidore signed.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Altidore worth his weight in gold, seeling shirts in the US. Shrewd move by Short

Agree4 Disagree1

H. youve got to love you lot. yes he dosent have time to see Nelson Mandela when he's in south africa (one off the most famous people on the planet) but he's going to take two hours out off his life to go to Sunderland?? You really want to start that medication again. That one was priceless. h

Agree2 Disagree1

What a load of tosh.

You sign an unproven American Striker and next thing you are hobnobbing with Obama.

This rumour is a new standard, even for you lot.

Agree2 Disagree3

Not a chance the president of the united states will come to watch a soccer match at the stadium of light. World cup final maby I can even push FA cup final at wembely but fulham at Sunderland lol not a chance.

Agree1 Disagree1

Dont lump us as you lot I hate the bloke

Agree0 Disagree0

Well heard the mags are going to sign vinnie jones 1 for joe Kinnear first signings thinks the lad as a lot to offer

Agree0 Disagree0

Its in a new York paper I have a picture msg of the headline of the article.

I think its said tongue in cheek rather than fact.
Barack Obama did mention Sunderland and Altidore in a recent chat or interview with someone saying he might have to take in a game, but I doubt he was being serious just friendly to the person he was talking to.

The newspaper then fabricated a story.

Agree1 Disagree0

Wow who woke the skunks?

Agree0 Disagree0

Skunks are getting so rattled its unreal! Keep it up Paol03 lad!

I think we can get Insigne

Napoli have now got Mertens and Insigne, who play in the same positions as Insigne! I guarantee they aren't there for back up either

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Agree

Agree3 Disagree2

I think we should bid 15m, if dries mertens starts for napoli I think napoli would accept it. 15m is a lot of money for a back-up, if we get him we should play him on the left because he's much better than McLean and he played class there at the u21 championships, let's just hope he comes.

Agree1 Disagree0

Disagree even if Insigne wanted to leave for first team football it would take 15mill plus to bring him to
Sunderland and I doubt we will be willing to pay that. Our budget seems to be we are buying player for around 5-8 mil not 15+

Agree1 Disagree3

I can see one big buy happening this window
Lets hope it's him

Agree2 Disagree0

Same I hope it's him we need to strengthen there

Agree0 Disagree0

Insigne won't come i'm afraid, they'll ask for too much money, they won't want to sell him and he'll only go to a club playing in europe

Agree0 Disagree1

Is giacherrini not a big enough buy. Started for italy at confederations cup and plays for juventus. I think people have been playing a bit too much fifa and think insigne is better than he is. If we bring in the players that have medical booked next week then we will only buy a left back and nothing else unless we sell players

Agree0 Disagree0

Hearing that we are preparing a bid of 4.5million for innocent emeghara striker who is super quick

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Can he score though

12 Jul 2013 16:12:07
Now we are linked with maxi Lopez. Not to keen on the fella myself

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't want him, crap

Giaccherini medical booked for Monday. Slight delay due to his wife giving birth to a baby daughter (Caterina) on Thursday.

If Giaccherini, Peruzzi and Huddlestone come in I still think we need a left back, another center half and a striker.

Could see the following going without the squad suffering: Bardsley, Cattermole, Larsson, McClean, Graham. Wickham out on loan and keep Ji as a forth striker/cover for the wing.

Who do you think will be sold on in this transfer window?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Another c/h really? Oshea brown cuellar diakite roberge plus youth

Agree0 Disagree0

Players we will sell. Bardsley, cattermole, vaughn, colback, McClean and Ji!

Agree1 Disagree0

O'Shea's last season. The season before last saw Cuellar's usefulness expire- he spent last year chasing shadows and conceding free kicks when he occasionally caught them up. Brown yet to remain fit for anything like a decent run. An experienced centre half who can still change gear would be a good addition.

Apparantley we are after Lorients 24 year old striker Innocent Emeghara. He was on loan at Siena last season and scored 7 goals in 16 games.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

He's a real smoothie apparently!

The skunks are apparently interested in Zoet. what was that about us going for sh*te players? If we do go for sh*te players then it's best if you don't try and sign the same player?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Sorry but he is talented though we tryed to get him

Agree1 Disagree0

We didn't try to sign Zoet as he wanted to be first choice keeper something we couldn't offer. So if Newcastle do sign him it means Krul is about to be sold for profit and Zoet is to be first choice or the deal doesn't go through for the same reason as us. Either way who cares the Newcastle fans want a striker and they are after a keeper lol jo kin er is doing a good job lol

Agree1 Disagree1

They bid 1. 75m they want 3m typical

Agree0 Disagree0

Zoet would be competition for elliot and krul. no substance in sunderland going for zoet

Huddleston is apparently taking a pay cut to join us. Safc93

Believable1 Unbelievable1

According to London Evening Standard, Huddlestone is taking pay cut. odds 1/10 joining Sunderland, just hope myself he goes to Villa instead as part of deal for Benteke. Despite being a great passer and having an eye for goal think he is too slow in a two-man central midfield

Agree2 Disagree3

Agree, Huddlestone well over rated and not worth the money being touted, if the spuds want rid of him it makes me wonder why, just my opinion. Chris-s.

Agree0 Disagree3

First of all, how many quick centre midfielders do you see these days? Look at the likes of xavi. Best midfielder in the world and is slow.
Huddlestone would be a great addition to centre midfield for us. Could sit there a spray the ball around for the strikers am wingers. Something we haven't had for years

What, no confirmed signings or new rumours today, how disappointing ha ha.

OK, I think this is where we are at: -

Giaccherini - Is a done deal and will be confirmed after medical

Peruzzi - As with above purchase price and personal terms now agreed so will be confirmed after medical

Huddlestone - London local paper and rumours are only real reference to this so it could just be press fabrication

Rose - Even though 99% of SAFC fans would like to see him sign, and Rose himself told me personally at the home game against spurs at Christmas he would like to sign permanently, there is nothing concrete anywhere about him being available or SAFC placing a bid. At this stage it's just hopeful rumours and unlikely to happen if Spurs set a stupid price and continue to try to offload Assou-Ekotto.

Lorenzo Insigne - Again there is nothing concrete anywhere to say SAFC have bid or this is ever going to happen. I will therefore be in Fenwick's window with Ed if it does!

To conclude, we will have the right side covered once the two done deals are confirmed. My opinion is that we will then need to sign a left back and possibly another striker to complete the squad until January.

H'away the Lads!

Believable2 Unbelievable3

FTB Pro are reporting that Giaccherini has signed

Agree2 Disagree1

With mendy in mind nothing is a done deal till they are holding up the shirt for the cameras fingers crossed tho

Agree1 Disagree0

Rose will only be signed if orban picks river plate or villareal over us

Agree0 Disagree0

Paolo said he was working very hard behind closed doors
With Mendy going to Marseille and Orban off to River, there is only one other alternative, Rose

Think this deal will happen eventually

Agree2 Disagree1

Orban agreed deal with River apparently

Agree0 Disagree0

Ill be in Fenwicks window if we signed both Rose and Insigna!
