Why is nobody thinking that we will get rose

Agree7 Disagree2

The thing is with Rose, Levy is being his usual stubborn self, he is asking ridiculous prices.
Just like everyone, I would love to see Rose is a Sunderland shirt come September but its 50/50, it's a waiting game, we have to wait and see what happens, if Spurs are looking at other targets they will eventually let him go at a reasonable price, if not he starts for spurs
We are showing our interest in other left backs to let Levy know we a not desperate for Rose, if we just wait for further establishments on the situation, nothing will happen, they won't drop they're price

Di Canio has already expressed his desire to bring him back to the SOL, but not everything is that simple

He knows what he's doing, just remember
"RELAX"

Agree4 Disagree3

Won't get Giovinco, LM will be that Greek lad and Hudds, if we get him will; be guaranteed starter. LB still vacant but Rose would be spot on.

Agree2 Disagree4

Doubt mavrias will be a starter, seems to lack final product, impact substitute.

Agree2 Disagree0

Not enough balance in there, in this day and age you need two solid centre midfielders who can put a challenge in at least

Agree2 Disagree1

Canny bench shaping up then. Think Mavrias, think Joe Cole early days.

Agree0 Disagree2

Cabral will start in midfield. Giaccherini on the left jonno on the right. Sess just behind Altidore n fletch

Where is everyone hearing the givinco link with really would love the two little lads from jive just can't see it happening but I'm going to dream

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Italian Newspapers and sources!

Nobody thought we would get Giaccherini!

Same as everyone else, I hope the team gels asap, but also, if PDC gets everything right, and the team works, I see no reason that we won't hsve a successful season. Successful will be determined by individuals, but for me, no relegation struggle, top half finish snd a decent cup run would be a big step forward. (As well as at least 4pts off the of course)! Opinions?

Believable7 Unbelievable1

This season could be a top 7 finish. I have high hopes with all these signings. You can't have too much of a good thing, and signings are good things. PS to original poster: guessing you meant at least four points from the MAGS of course.

Agree2 Disagree7

4 points off the Mags youve got to be kidding. more like 6 points surely!

Agree3 Disagree3

To be honest we were lucky to get a point at home from the mags last season home wins for both teams this season I think

Agree1 Disagree1

Yes, I meant the mags. 6pts would be dreamland stuff, but 4pts, 2 consecutive seasons would show we're seriously on top.

Agree1 Disagree0

Top 7?, need to calm down lads.

If Di Canio really is going to try and sign Giovinco aswell you can say goodbye to sessegnon.

GK - Westwood
RB - Peruzzi
CB - Diakite
CB - Roberge
LB -?
CM - Giaccherini
CM - Gabral
LM - Giovinco
RM - Johnson
ST - Altidore
ST - Fletcher

Or play Giaccherini on the wing and Giovinco up front with another holding midfield player. But the point is sessegnon doesn't fit in the team.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Giaccherini's actually position is CAM
but he hasn't had much of a chance at Juve due to the Marchisio's, Vidal's, Pirlo's etc

Giovinco can play upfront and as a winger, I hope we get him, very good player

we could be looking at winning something this season and finishing in top 8 with the players that are coming in and might come

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Too early to say either way, sure I'd love us to win a trophy but for me as long as we finish off without a relegation struggle for this season I'd be more than pleased.

Agree4 Disagree0

Really shouldn't get ahead of ourselves. other teams strengthening, norwich etc. , and its going to take time for our team to gel fully, just a word of caution
!

Agree7 Disagree0

Agree with above comment don't expect miracles straight away. team need sto gel!

ive just heard from a good source we r signing vydra and maxi lopez with huddleston peruzzi and giaccherini

Believable1 Unbelievable8

Well, not really
As Udinese have said they want to keep Vydra and Di Canio has pulled out of a bid for maxi Lopez because he ain't good enough

Agree9 Disagree1

And your good source is PDC or someone on the board? Or is it Dave from work, he's top notch on the fork lift and hardly ever wrong on transfers?

Agree9 Disagree0

PDC is not in control of transfers

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed024's Note - He may not neogiate the deals but he will be part of the group who identify the targets}

13 Jul 2013 16:45:10
Ed where are we at with Peruzzi, Giaccherine, Huddlestone and Mavrias? Getting a little anxious, anyone else have some info? Also is Orban a non starter now?

Believable5 Unbelievable1

{Ed024's Note - River Plate likely to sign Orban, Peruzzi and Giacherrini just down to personal terms, Peruzzi pretty much done, a few more details left to sort for giacherrini. I'm hearing another club may be interested in Huddlestone which may complicate things for us.}

Liking the new blue colour for the Ed's notes.

Agree4 Disagree0

Pretty sure that personal terms have already been agreed its just medicals to be done.

italian paper are saying we have pu in a bid for giovinco

Believable5 Unbelievable1

How much
Worth anything up to 15m

Agree1 Disagree1

Weve been knocked back in a bid to sign Oczipka!. but there may be a chance of a loan for the highly rated German left back!. we seem to be up in the air about a left back with Orban. Rose, Mendy, all been linked! this is our next priority!

Agree3 Disagree0

When a club say he ain't for sale, it just means 'give us more money'

Agree4 Disagree1

Sunderland are linked with a 5 million pound move for Bastian Oczipka, Tom Huddlestone also 5 million could be done on Monday and Emanuele Giaccherini aswell for 6.8 million and the last Gino Peruzzi for 4 millon

That would be 20. 800. 000.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Also Enquired about Juventus' Giovinco

Agree4 Disagree3

Frankfurt have told Sunderland that Bastian Oczipka is not for sale after hearing interest from us. Source SSN. (Their website)

Agree4 Disagree0

Frankfurt have said they will not sell but he has been told to go to premiership if he wants to go to World Cup so it could be on, good player

chris33

Believable9 Unbelievable2

{Ed024's Note - Fee agreed - personal terms to discuss he might need to take a pay cut.}

13 Jul 2013 09:48:23
Don't know if anyone has mentioned it but our pre season game against spurs is on sky and the 3/4 place play off and final are on the next day. Can't wait to see how the signings do. Safc93

Believable12 Unbelievable3

Why disagree?lol

Agree7 Disagree2

Whens this?

Agree2 Disagree0

I was thinking the same thing. Safc93

Agree1 Disagree0

At work at the mo, when are these games played/ on sky?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wednesday week, 10:30am

Agree1 Disagree0

Is it something like 27th of July? Does that make sense? It's at 10am in the morning on sky.

Outs:

Bardsley - Bolton Wanderers/Hull City/Sheff Wed/Burnley - £1. 75m offer

Cattermole - Hull City - £2m offer

A big less on these players if sold

Last I read Bardsley was valued as £4m
and Cattermole was £5.5m

Not good business

Only good thing is getting them of the wage bill.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Bardsley only has a year left on his contract so 1. 75 mil would be a good deal 2mil for catts would be good too, he's injured a lot.

Agree4 Disagree1

Thats a daft comment, so bardsley has 1 year to run, won't get a game and is on over 30k a week yet we shouldn't sell him for less than 4 million which no one in there right mind would pay. We paid 2.5m for him and he's played over 150 games, to me we could almost release him and we've done really well with him. And cattermole has done a job in his time as well but your not going to get 5 mill for someone so injury prone and ill disciplined, again though, we had good use out of him at a time when the club was trying to become a stable premier league club. Its all about taking the club to the next level.

Agree6 Disagree0

Its ok saying we will get rid of them these players along with others at the club are on silly money so they will be hard to sell on look at ji for example ausberg wanted him but can't afford his wages big issue for the club to sort out

Agree1 Disagree0

safc have enquired about the avaidability of sebastian giovinco reported by the italian player

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Wow, that would be a lovely signing

Agree5 Disagree1

Never in a million years

Agree4 Disagree4

Well, you say never in a million years
But
He is around the same standard of Giaccherini, plays for Italy but is a bench warmer for Juventus, pay the right price again, and we could have him

Agree1 Disagree0

He was once Italy's hottest prospect. A good player but not convinced in England
