ED have we had a lone deal for kovacic accepted if so do you still think well get fernandes

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed024's Note - Not heard any confirmation of a loan deal for Kovacic. I think we'll only get one of them, unless we unload 2 or 3 of our existing players.}

I would be delighted with either but Kovacic is only 19 and already regarded as world class.

Agree2 Disagree1

When are the squad numbers out!.?. at least 2 and 3 will be kept back!

McClean is off to Glasgow Celtic for £2m
Bardsley is going too to Hull City for £2m
Cattermole will go to Fulham for £2m
Cuellar off too AD Alcorcon for £1m
Vaughan joining Crystal Palace for £3m
Westwood go to Cardiff City for £2m

players leaving the club

Coming in all up in the area.

Believable3 Unbelievable8

{Ed024's Note - Cant see Westwood going unless we have another keeper lined up}

Ive heard 2 t0 2.5 million for Catts? surely well get more thatn that?. he cost £6 million. this isn't a fire sale Paulo!

Agree5 Disagree1

{Ed024's Note - No concrete bids so far.}

Itll be interesting which keeper gets the no 1 jersey?. my moneys on the italian but I think Westwood is the better keeper!

Agree7 Disagree1

Heard that we are looking at Ben Alnwick

Agree2 Disagree6

{Ed024's Note - Cant see that - he's been on almost permanent loan since 2007 !!!}

Westwood not off don't be silly

Agree7 Disagree0

Catts has been injured for long periods since he joined us with a gammy knee. £2-2.5mil is about right.

Agree3 Disagree0

3 Million for Vaughan? Lay off what ever it is you may have ingested my friend.

ed is it true beskitas have accepted 6.5 million for fernandes

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed024's Note - I've not heard that}

Ed I feel pretty deflated. I've been bouncing the entire summer with all the transfer activity and a very hungry young exciting manager at the helm but just watched Swansea in europe and realised that all the changes Di Canio's making is necessary just to even compete with these kind of teams. Then I've been thinking about the rest of the league and realised the likes of Southampton and Villa will be greatly improved and likes of Norwich, Fulham are going to be very competitive so we must stick with the team next season, its not going to all be rosy. As a neutral what a season its going to be in the premier league but as a Sunderland fan i'm bracing myself for a rollercoaster. Ed, just writing this out I don't feel deflated anymore, cheers and
. HAWAAAAAAAAAY!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed024's Note - There will be ups and downs - we've just got to back the team.}

Every Premier team will feel this way right now!

Sunderland have had a loan deal with an option to buy included accepted for inter Milan youngster Mateo Kovacic. He is 19years old who plays in midfield as a playmaker.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Doubt we will sign anymore youngsters. also liverpool have made new offer for cissokho so that's another fullback out the window.

Agree2 Disagree2

I will punch you in the neck if you are lying
Great news this

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Violence never pays !}

Watched 7 or 8 mins of this kid on You Tube when he was 17. amazing skills. Similar style to how gazza played in his early years. Pure invention, no fear. outrageous skill. Would def pay to see him perform.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think Man U and arsenal were after him last season. Milan wanted about 10m for him then

Agree2 Disagree1

Gazza wished he could have played like this kid!

Agree1 Disagree3

Wounder how much the buy out clause is? Can't see him been cheap but then again can't see him been on more than. 15k a week either. So a loan see if he is the playmaker with the keys like Di canio said if not no loss if so we can easy double his wages and pay whatever the buy out is. Good business we loan out a midfielder loan one in with no money spent :-)

Sunderland are in talks to sign Fernandez after a 6.5mil bid has been accepted due the the clubs financial difficultys. He is in contract talks and once a deal has been agreed will then travel for a medical.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Hope so think he will be good for us!

Why couldn't the sexy birds of tv 92live come to safc? Kate and Amy better than david craig any day!

Believable6 Unbelievable0

{Ed024's Note - Your not wrong.}

fulham, cardiff and qpr battling it out for catts and i've also heard bardsley is staying!. don't know about you ed but that's music to my ears!
If you don't believe me people just wait and see and i'll collect the praise at the end of the window!

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed024's Note - I would be surprised if Bards stayed, but he has got his head down and worked with the development squad without moaning. If he fronts PDC and says look I made a mistake, I've worked hard give me another chance ....you never know.}

Not sure for your reason why bardsley is staying mate but if he does I think it could come down to his wages at sunderland one of the reasons why transfers have gone cold is we can't move people on due to there high wages

Agree1 Disagree2

Don't know where the Bardo is staying came from, would be very surprised if Di Cannylad relents. However hope he does he's done well overall although admittedly he struggled last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bardsley has to go, he's done his job but lacks the quality or footballing brain to take us to the next level or even maintain premiership status. You can't pay someone 31k a week to be a 'squad player', a term I hate, every player in the squad should be good enough for first team otherwise you have hangers on and a squad that lacks drive. Bardsley great signing, very likeable man but definitely time to go and free up wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rumours of Fernandez still piling up and up. To those saying Fernandez's 40k wage is a bit much let me tell you this. A player is only expensive if he doesn't perform.
Carroll to Liverpool - £36m - Waste of money, too expensive for mediocrity.
Torres to Chelsea - £50m - Underachieved, "terrible" according to some.
Ronaldo to Madrid - £80m - Money well spent.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Gotta admit the money in Football now is just ridiculous

Spurs want 126m for bale, he ain't worth a fraction of that!
No one is!

We're pi$$ed off at Spurs for telling us to pay 10m on Rose, that's nowt to what R. Madrid are going through

Agree9 Disagree0

Agree with what you say, just wanted to point out that although Bale is a great player, he is also a cheat and a diver. Chris -s.

Agree1 Disagree1

Have to say I agree, if he can stay on his feet he would get 10 more goals a season! Look at suarez last year, after he started getting a reputation as a diver he stopped doing it and started scoring more ( loved the way he waltzed around colocini and made him look average!). Unfortunately bale will never be as good as he was lasy season, name a striker who went to play in europe and came back a better player?

Harry Redknapp has told Newcastle they must pay Loic Remy's £8million buy-out clause if they want to sign him. (london evening standard) jim

Believable4 Unbelievable2

This page not Sunderland rumours?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Just a poster keeping us uptodate with what the neighbours are doing - surely they've got to sign someone soon ?}

Mags comment on here and there site about us all the time, we allowed to laugh at them a bit.

Agree4 Disagree1

Pea, bony, gomis, bent lol 2mill fans believed the club were actually interested in signing these players and put offers in yet all clubs laughed at their offers then they have the audacity to think that qpr were going to let them have remmy on loan well harry has more or less told them to put up or shut up the fans must be wondering what's going on. I know they will have to sell before they splash out on any major signing only problem after last seasons shambles no one wants any of their players so its looking bad for our beloved rivals from the tooown

ED what has happend lot alfred duncan I thought he was deciding on his future on Wednesday

7SAFC7

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed024's Note - This has been talked about since mid June with no result so I'd given up on this one until he was not named in Inter's 25-man to the United States for pre-season. Thats got to hurt - not in the 25 - so I think he may be off on loan again - hope PDC is at the front of the queue but he will probabaly stay in Italy.}

Big rumour floating round that we are confirming 2 signing on the 92 live on sky sports later on hope this is true

Agree2 Disagree5

Never happened

Can only apologise but hey its a rumours page after all

Getting worried about the lack of fullbacks at the club with the season only 2weeks away. we can't have gardner at right back he cost us too many points last year with stupid pens freekicks abd getting caught out of position too many times. Ed please ease my pain and tell me something is iminent pleeeeeeeeeze

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed024's Note - Nothing iminent - but there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes.}

Gardner isn't pdc's type of full back neither is colback he likes wing backs i. e pacey players

Agree1 Disagree3

Agree BUT WE don't HAVE ANY that's the point

Agree2 Disagree0

We will sign 2 fullbacks and a creative midfielder before the season starts so chill!

Agree2 Disagree2

We need to move some players on before we sign as club is run right financily mate

Being linked with a move for Inter Milan's Zdravko Kuzmanovic again in the papers.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

01 Aug 2013 08:43:16
Catts off to fulham, we pushing ahead with kuzmanovic which means nowts happening with fernandez which is disappointing in my opinion! and not sure about quincy abeiye like he must have been released for a reason its only panathanikos. What do you think of colbacks strong links to cardiff ed?

Believable2 Unbelievable3

{Ed024's Note - I think Colback will sign a contract extension.}

He plays better as a lb but I think we could do better I just see him as a squad player nothing vital. problem is I can't think off the top of me head a lb suitable barrin sissoko!

Agree1 Disagree3

Quincy was released because he doesn't want to play for them anymore he refused to go back n wants to stay in england

7SAFC7

Agree1 Disagree0

What would Quincy bring to the party?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Not much I fear, not in the same bracket as some of the other players we have been linked with.}

7safc7 thanks if that's true then so be it he ain't a bad player. better than mclean anyway! pdc wants a playmaker and i'm all for foreign talent but what about mcarthy from wigan he's pricey yes but worth a shot!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea I would like to see Quincy join he runs at defenders and has multiple tricks unlike McLean I also like McCarthy but sick of signing players from relegated clubs

7SAFC7

Agree0 Disagree1

The thing is with mcarthy he might have been with relegated wigan but he has brilliant potential and possibly one of the few talented british players around and yes the price is steep but teams always put prices like that on player then turns out you get them cheaper most times! listen quincy might be better than mclean but when you think about it we could sign someone from league 2 and they would be better!

Agree0 Disagree1

Everyone in the country knows what Whelan is like when he says a price he won't accept any less. even with small crowds the guy is a genius at running the club although i'm a fan of bigger clubs with bigger crowds in premiership you have to admire wigan
