Agent of Gareth bale, David Manasseh, said on tv that he has been in contact with Sunderland over a player. He is also the agent of gylfi sigurdsson. Believe it if you want, but I believe he fits what Sunderland need and the type of player we should go for. Also he will be pushed further out of the Tottenham team with their new additions. What are your thoughts?

Good point. I just think it may be about him as the fact is it is exactly what Sunderland and Pablo want ( a playmaker)

1 year ago, everyone would be begging to get this lad, he was class for Roma and still does well for Italy U21

If we do get him, he will do well for us, he'll bring pace to our slow team. He had a poor season with Liverpool, but that could be down to numerous things, didn't get that many opportunities, had a couple of injuries and he doesn't suit Liverpool's way, eg. Torres and Chelsea

well looks we are signing a left back called dossena a former liverpool player he's 31 y old he's due to sign for us after failing a medical at torino on friday,, unbelievable,, alson borrini from liverpool looks like a done deal

Hope this is not true I can rember him playing for Liverpool he was dreadful the scouses got rid of him quickly

But where is this playmaker Di Canio craves

We have enquired about former LFC left back Andre dossena from Napoli and the borini move is very close to being completed and we apparently want 2-3 more playes before the window closes

hi ed sick of hearing media say sunderland made 2 many singings when starting line up against palace only 3 new signing start same crap as last season if players not ready for 1st team don't sign them simples, at this moment we need quality players 2 hit the ground running we had all summer 2 sign a left back shocking really.

PDC says he needs more signings to add quality MORE signings? he's signed 12 players already does he really know what he is doing?

The main reason we lost 2 points against Southampton and a point, possibly 3 against Palace was simply very poor decisions and mistakes by our captain JOS. Nothing to do with our new signings. 3 games in, give PDC a season at least, always remember if it wasn't for him coming in we'd be playing in the championship this season. Plus he gave us one the most unforgettable games of my lifetime up the road. Jesus, we'll be changing managers every time we lose shortly.

Hi Ed have to totally agree all those new signings and the majority of yesterday's team were here last season where's Cabal or Karlson. Altidore injured proves one thing ji and wickam not good enough we all rave because wickam gets 2 midweek but its against a league one team we need creativity in the middle and some pace up front get rid of any 2 from Vaughan Larson Gardner and chattermole shift ji he will never be any good too light weight we've hardly spent a penny only really Altidore - time now for 2 big signings

Media don't seem to mention palace have brought in 12 players or that hull have a load of new signings. Or the fact that we have got rid of about 8 players.

Can't help but think we would have won the first 2 games if we had Fletcher

Our Midfeilder is our weak point
Our formation is just 4-0-4
Fletcher brought us back out of nothing, then we were on top right until O'Shea screwed us and then there was no coming back

Finally someone with sense. If cabral and ki form a good partnership we should get some goals with fletch back.

Yesterday was a blessing in disguise, larsson and vaughan offer us nothing they are weak links, colback is not a left back even though he does a decent job, ji needs time but shouldn't be starting and finally something I've been saying for a long time, john oshea should not be playing, for the past 2 seasons he has gave away stupid free kicks and makes stupid challenges and the reason is because he is not fast enough like larsson and vaughan, oshea may be a leader but and do ok but he is championship standard at best, i'd have wes brown over him anyday and please paulo bring back catts, even though he is a liability he gives the midfield strength and gives his all!

Oshea far to slow can't pass couldn't trap a bag of cement. Colback not a LB midfield to weak. We need to be faster all over the park defend from the front start pressing team get in thier faces make them hurry and make mistakes then pick up the pieces and attack quicker. just my opinion

Need someone who can defend set pieces, is scary to thnk what will happen when we play stoke. poss cuellar who does make stupid mistakes but not anywhere on the level of o's***
