Just heard from a few websites saying Sunderland have tabled a bid for Gylfi Sigurdsson of spurs. Could this be the playmaker Di Canio wants?

Believable7 Unbelievable5

What websites would love it to be true

Agree4 Disagree3

Hopefully, class player
Tell me the websites please

Agree4 Disagree3

I heard we enquired about him on loan with an option to buy.

Agree0 Disagree3

Mind we have to deal with Levy at Spurs and that's like dealing with the impossible!

Ed can you tell me why we r making such a fuss over the Mavrias deal because I can't see where he's going to play! I think the money we've spent on him could of been better spent on the midfield playmaker we r so desperate for! We currently have sess, jackerini, Larson, Johnson and moberg karlson who can play on wing so please tell me, why Mavrias? Jarra makem

Believable5 Unbelievable1

{Ed024's Note - Only a guess but could play Marias wide with Giancherini more central in the creative role}

I think its good signing and won't have an effect on clubs desire for central midfielder, he's young hungry pacy and will push wingers we currently start with. We can all agree Larsson isn't an option as a winger with the way di canio wants to play so that gives us 4 options which can probably adapt to other positions on the pitch. Sessegnon will be a support striker and I personally want to keep him and think he's still a huge asset. didn't think he had best game at weekend but totally disagree his performance lacked interest, he's clearly worked hard on fitness because looks leaner than ever and have feeling he'll still go on and have good season. Your never going to get 100% consistency with a player like that but you still need that Xfactor available.

Agree3 Disagree2

So do u think if we get Mavrias we won't b lookin 4 a midfield playmaker? Jarra makem

Agree1 Disagree2

I think giaccherini would be good in centre mid, has he played for juventus or italy in that position. tk 73

Agree4 Disagree1

IMO Mavrias will be back up for giaccarini (sp) sess isn't a natural wide man, Larson has no pace and only has a year left on his contract. Karlsson is back up for aj. It's good to have competion on the wing. Don't panic I'm sure we will have cm in before the window shuts.

Agree3 Disagree1

I Think your wrong. Giaccerini has never played in Premiership other than Fulham game so goes against everything that di canio has said he sees in a midfield player

Agree4 Disagree0

Kebabs head was turned with arsenal offer wonder if sess was turned with offer from quatar greedy agents again at work

Agree0 Disagree0

I still think Larsson is wasted in central midfield and his best position is on the right wing!

Agree2 Disagree2

How about we once have players to use if anyone is injured. Mavrias is awesome signing, both thumbs up! We need competition in the squad, that's what makes the players work hard for places. I really don't think this acquisition will jeopardize our search for midfield ace. If we get someone really good, then I believe Sess will go.

Agree1 Disagree0

Larsson, s best position is on the bench

Agree1 Disagree0

Larsson is rubbish you person, do you attend the games he does nothing he's only on the pitch for set pieces and he's s**** at them aswell!!

Mavrias flew into the North East today after the clubs agreed a deal and his medical is scheduled for tomorrow.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

No doubt he will be a sunderland player soon

So he wants 5 new players
LB, 2CM, Winger, Striker

Needs the LB, obviously
One CM will be the playmaker
The winger will be Mavrais, the other CM will probably help to strengthen depth which we lack
I think the Striker will be a very good one too, Ji and Wickham are not ready to step up yet, which leaves Fletcher and Altidore up front and if everything goes sour again, eg. One striker is having a struggle scoring and the other is injured, we will have no goal scorers
So if we do what City do and get plenty of good forwards its a win win situation because each will be pushing the other ones to their full potential by all wanting first team and we will be guaranteed goals, apparently we are after Moussa Sow

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Love to have sow

Agree3 Disagree0

Not going to happen, Mavrias and a cm and maybe the juve lb but that's all! Paolo rates ji that's why we turned down a bid from Dortmund for him.

Agree2 Disagree1

Ji and wickham will never make the step up as long as they are only going to get 10 mins here and there

I've heard from a good friend who is a wigan supporter that vaughan could be going to wigan as part of the deal for james mccarthy coming to safc and I can honestly say that sess going now is NOT going to happen besides PDC has said so!

Believable5 Unbelievable6

I was hoping to believe all of that right until you said Sess definately wasn't going
We need to get the big earners off the wage bill, The club has told Di Canio if he wants to buy more he needs to sell Sess and the Club have final say over Transfers not PDC, he works for them remember

Agree5 Disagree2

Im quite aware he works for them but he does have say and if he wants to keep sess and build a team with sess part of it then he will fund by selling dead wood i. e vaughan etc. you make us sound like wigan or sumit 'get the big earners off the wage bill' do you want average players because that's what you'll get

Agree5 Disagree1

Its called balancing your books mate if sess stays then don't expect many more through the door

I reckon danny rose will be back up here on loan or permanent soon!

Believable5 Unbelievable7

What makes you say that?

Agree1 Disagree3

No chance

Agree4 Disagree2

Why are people clinging on to Danny Rose. Dead and buried man.

Agree6 Disagree3

Actually it's more possible now than it ever was
Madrid and Spurs agreed a fee for bale with Coentrao part of the deal

Agree3 Disagree1

Everyones forgets we are dealing with Daniel levy the spurs chairman who ruins every possible transfer!

Agree3 Disagree2

The thing is if spurs do get Coentrao, they will still want to hang on to Rose as he played last week and AVB obviously rates him. I think he would be very reluctant to let Rose go, even if he is sat on the bench most of the season. Chris-s.

Agree2 Disagree2

Fair enough, but does Danny Rose want to sit on the bench?

Agree4 Disagree1

Danny does not want to sit on the bench but he may have no option, depending on how long he is contracted to spurs, and if they are willing to let him go or not. Chris-s.

Agree1 Disagree1

Chris-s - Players always have options should their desires to move clubs be great enough. Take a look at all the players in the PL currently trying to engineer moves away from their clubs due to their unhappiness levels. If a player wants to move badly enough they will (eventually), their clubs have very little power to prevent them doing so, especially clubs outside the top 4.

Looks like we are selling
Sess to fund this playmaker, my only concern is that this playmaker won't be worth selling Sess for, I hope this lad is gunna be class

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Sess only good when he wants to be which is about once every 5 or 6 games not consistent enough let him go and get somebody in who would do it week in week out
