Looks like Kieran Richardson will leave by the end of the transfer window.

West Ham United are clear favorite, what worries me is Sunderland have under valued him big time.
Why should our club loss out on players.

And pay way over the odds for an average player.

I think all the players the press have link use with will not come to the club.

Maybe Warnock only.

Believable3 Unbelievable8

Completely agree mate but it's because he is in his last year of his contract, if we hold out for to much, the teams will just wait until his contract ends then he can join for free

MB

Agree2 Disagree1

I think theyve set the price low as a thankyou to kieran who is our longest serving player

Agree6 Disagree1

No phil Bardsley is our longest serving player (princ£y)

Agree0 Disagree3

No princey mate youve called that wrong its richardson

ed i have had a good word that the fletcher deal will be confirmed tomorrow and also that johnson has held talks and a fee and terms agreed but deal wont be done till he has a medical on monday have you heard anything mate. {Ed024's Note - Fletcher medical today so would expect it all to be finalised tomorrow. The odds on Johnson have been cut to 1/8 so you might be onto something}

Believable14 Unbelievable1

Fletcher was the best you could attract you have paid massively over the odds but you had to pay it you had nowhere to go he's ok but just ok liked him as a player not as a man as a wolves fan would like to thank fletch for his efforts but has dumped on hibernian burley now wolves. If all goes well ok if he gets a chance to spit his dummy he will. Has a talent but has an overinflated ego.weve passed the baton good luck.

Agree4 Disagree5

Went to bigger club every time or do you want him to stay at lower level club. green eyed monster

Agree9 Disagree2

Agree6 Disagree1

Agree5 Disagree2

Another signing who will be in the bars in the Toon till he gets warned off

Agree2 Disagree6

Johnson more likely to live in wynyard closer to his family n mates

Agree4 Disagree1

Johnsons signing would send a signal to other players to come here

Agree5 Disagree1

Warned off? oh sorry its cos ur all rock ard!

Agree1 Disagree1

Not sure quality players will be thinking ah Adam Johnson is there lets follow him because he's a real world beater, let's get realistic he's coming to get first team and be at home nothing more or less

Agree0 Disagree0

"Johnson more likely to live in wynyard closer to his family n mates"

He is from Easington in County Durham ie nowhere near newcastle

Agree0 Disagree0

Wynyard is at Stockton - numbskulls, no where near either Newcastle or Easington. FFS

Dont be silly, go back to cloud cuckoo land and push a linesman over

Agree13 Disagree2

More chance of us signing messi. No more strikers after fletcher. Oniell says in the echo

Agree10 Disagree2

Don't want him another Lee clarke

Agree11 Disagree5

Carrol twice the player fletcher is.....but he aint coming

Agree1 Disagree13

Carrol struggled for goals in a top team Fletcher scored double figures for a relegated team i think fletch is the better player

Agree14 Disagree1

Bowt as mobile as a black and white deck chair without Barton average at best

Agree10 Disagree1

Andy Carroll cudn't kick my arse

Agree10 Disagree1

Carrol in scotland at hearts game

Agree3 Disagree2

Not even in the squad so where is he

Agree3 Disagree0

They dragged carol to edinburgh even tho he werent in squad

Agree1 Disagree0

Carrol aint played many games last season for liverpool and never finished 1 game that he started...if fletcher was that good why aint liverpool tryed to sign him exactly they want demsey who is by far a better goal scored.

Wolves fan here.
Well done on getting fletcher cos i really rate him highly ,not sure if he is worth 14m but is any player worth there price tag , i think he had a hard job at molineux with that bonehead mccarthy in charge but o'neil will love him and get the best out of him.
Go get em fletcher

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Agree fletcher best striker I've seen since Steve bull, class touch and fantastic in the air ,scored last season against man u, man city ,arsenal and spurs ,legend ,good luck fletcher,to all the Sunderland fanswho think he's expensive ,your manager is top class trust him and good luck!!!!

Agree10 Disagree1

Thanks to wolves supporters for the comments,i think the lad will be great for us

Agree6 Disagree1

15 million is a lotta cash hope it doesn't cripple ya fletch is ok but just ok for sure you will loose money and for sure he will miss a lot of games he will get you 15 goals at best.Be interested what Clint Dempsey goes for think you will find it will be far less. Thanks for the dosh n that's not being disrespctful

Agree2 Disagree1

Yep Fletcher is a super striker but i feel sorry for West ham spending 10m on Jarvis ,,sunderland definately got the better deal lol

Hi Ed. Have you heard anything on the rumour that we have bid for Charlie Adam? {Ed024's Note - Would be very surprised he recently got wed to a local lady and is happy in North West - unless he is told by BR that he is not wanted then I think he will stay at Liverpool}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

carnt believe am actually sayin this but canrt wait for fletcher to shine and prove our own fans wrong for even twistin over mon signings like a said before he knows what he is doin. some people on here do my head in just always negative about everything.S.Rooney

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Well said mate, the boy will be very good 4 us,how can you question mon anyway, hes only began here, keep the faith.tk73

Agree4 Disagree2

23 Aug 2012 16:11:00
Couldn't disagree more with that last post. What if Fletcher gets injured, where does that leave us ? Relying on a 34 year old who as MON has already stated won't play every game and is likely to come off the bench, and an existing strike force bereft of goals that has forced us to look to Fletcher in the first place. He absolutely needs another striker and quick - a partner for Fletcher. The rest of your post made sense.

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Theres still 9 days to go ffs !

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Aug 2012 15:32:18
we have fletcher and saha we wont be signing any more strikers. Guidetti was back up for fletcher if it fell through. Just looking at johnson and defensive options now

Believable2 Unbelievable8

Its true read the sunderland echo

Agree2 Disagree0

Thanks for the money! Well done Jez Moxey!! haha

Agree1 Disagree5

Yh well done Jez moxey now you can pocket the cash leave wolves with nothing to spend and they can spend some time in da fizzy pop league lol.

Agree5 Disagree0

Would that be the same moxey who got you relegated

Agree5 Disagree0

No it was the players who got us relagated oh yes with fletcher and he got relagated with his last club as well so looks like your next up the geordied

Agree1 Disagree1

Sacking managers and not replacing them is down to the players too then, oh and spending on stands before playing staff is down to the players too aye

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2012 14:10:35
MON waiting on AJ decision before making a move for Victor Moses. Also Martin Olsson is weighing up a move to us and MON has bid in for a right back but don't know who this is yet.

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Would like AJ but victor moses not to be snubbed at?

Agree5 Disagree0

Have plenty cover for rb. Bardo gardner oshae cuellar to name a few

Agree4 Disagree1

Aj by far and away the better of the two

Agree4 Disagree2

Mentioned victor moses few days ago would like to see aj here just think vm is more of an mon type player hes willing to graft.

23 aug 2012 13:35:55
heard alot about this young david fox lad , hope its not true!

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Who ? {Ed024's Note - Midfileder from Norwich - a regular last season - just signed a contract extension at end of last season}

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a top class player on his day..he would seriously tear any defence apart on his day

Sunderland to rival aston villa and southampton for olsson.rovers want 5 mill.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Guidetti not going to feyernoord so we could get him on loan .

Agree3 Disagree2

Fletcher havin medical

Agree5 Disagree0

23 Aug 2012 09:06:42
Can't help but thinking if AJ was gonna sign for us he would of done so by now. Would be gutted if he did not but credit to MON for trying. Fletcher will be a good signing he's a work horse and us fans should get behind him and lets not forget he wanted to sign for us the moment we showed interest.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Wolves fan here. Hope the rumoured 12-14 mil fee is true. That's great business for us and you will get a good player. Not sure he will pass his medical though when his #headsgone. Hope to see you again next season. {Ed024's hope so - as long as that means you come up rather than we go down !!}

Agree6 Disagree1

Stay positive about Johnson. Liverpool aren't interested apparently and our only real opposition is Spurs. The lure of coming back up here and playing under a good manager might be enough to get him. I have a feeling we will get him.

Agree2 Disagree0

Its a career defining move for the lad give him time to think, no one would dive in to this type of decision

Agree3 Disagree1

Go to spurs and battle for a place against bale lennon van der vaart etc or come to sunderland and be a god hmmm

Agree4 Disagree3

The Mighty Geordies are in for him too and hes a Newcastle fan, If i was him id take half of what Sunderland are offering to join Le Toon

Agree0 Disagree6

Newcastle ain't in for him and even if they was that move would not happen. Besides aj is British they only like le frogs

Agree6 Disagree0

You dont grow up in a sunderland house and suppert newcastle. And vise versa just rumours. We can offer him first team football and more wages than spurs and toon

Been told that a Sunderland scout was at a Institute FC youth game and looking at some promising players. Hoping to find the new James McLean.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Hope he's not looking for the new James McLean don't want another muppet.

Agree4 Disagree11

How can you say that ?! Are you blind or just stupid ? McLean is quality

Agree8 Disagree2

McClean a muppet?? Are you on drugs??

Agree9 Disagree3

Got to be a mag, take no notice(the greeneyed monsters are coming out cos fatash wont spend any more of his massive profits)

Agree7 Disagree0

If it was a choice between not spending anything, or signing Fletcher for £15m, i would keep my wallet in my pocket. Desperate signing.

Agree1 Disagree6

You would keep your wallet in your pocket are you mike Ashley's love child lol

Agree3 Disagree0

Mike ashley is a lot trimmer than their lot so he cant be his love child

Agree4 Disagree0

Mclean = epic!
you think heskey = epic.

Sunderland to unveil steven fletcher and adam johnson as sunderland players at tomorrows press conference.talks with johnsons agent started at 10pm.

Believable7 Unbelievable7

Would like to think this is true

Agree7 Disagree0

Discussing personal terms with fletchers agent last night, talks started at 10pm, don't no outcome but it all sorted he'll be having medical today n ready to play against reading, I honestly believe this will be a good season for fletch 15-20 goals and hell be called back up to Scotland set up! I am a villa fan but being serious he, fletch isn't a Torres or a tevez, he's a bit if a rough arse but seriously he will stick
His head on the end of anything arms with Maclean, sess & Larson whipping crosses in will get goals for sure!! I wish both him and Sunderland luck

Agree8 Disagree1

Defo fletcher unveiled not sure bout Johnson I think well get pipped at the post again but wld luv to c him at sol hopefully the MOn factor and his pulling power cld influence his decision

Agree5 Disagree1

Does anyone think we should try putting bid in for Dawson, him and cuellar wld be class at centre back

Agree5 Disagree2

I'm am rangers fan so not rumour fact, just left ramside golf hotel as stated there last fletcher walked out n got straight into a blacked out window vehicle possibly for talks or even medical

Agree3 Disagree0

That God he is not a Torres!

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard that johnsons agent is his father dont know if its true if so surely we will sign him

Agree0 Disagree0

His dad is his advisor his agent is Peter Morrison who incidentally was staying at the rockliffe hall hotel tonight so he's in the area for something
