Michael Owen and Bobby Zamora are the 2 strikers MON is trying to sign with Zamora being the closest to completion. This will leave money in the bank to launch a bid for Adam Johnson. Warnock is not on the radar an MON will instead bid for Rod Fanni. This from a club insider and usually acurate.

Firstly dont think safc will be bidding for johnson i do know there was intrest but on loan and safc wanted city to pay half johnsons wages so thats why i can not see a bid going in as safc can afford his wages.............k

Twitter is awash with the rumour of a massive striker being signed. Any idea who this is a few people are thinking really big and touting Berbatov or Llorente. Any truth in these or any other likely signings?
