Would anyone want Henderson back, Liverpool could sell him to boost funds
Believable8
Unbelievable7
What price would they sell him for! I wouldn't take him back for more than £7million!

No can't tackle colback is better all round player
Agree7
Disagree9
Im not a Henderson fan but colback can't tie his boot laces in midfield I would like to see Henderson return for a bid of around 7 t 8 mill and would like to see colback given a chance at right back looked good in that position last season

Safc website saying mignolet has completed his move to Liverpool just proves money talks. so much for wanting a bigger club for his World Cup place. You won't get that warming the bench at Liverpool
Believable4
Unbelievable6
Liverpool are a bigger club.
Hopefully he has made a mistake and Sunderland do well this season.
I for one, wish him well.

Exactly!. Ed. now we should see some big action in the transfer market. hopefully!
Agree3

There are excleent keepers for half his price (including Westwood) so don't despair!
Agree5

The 8 million for Migs has nearly all been spent already.
All those 2nd rate players wages will be paid with the Migs money. {Ed024's Note - My nomination for daftest black & white post of the day}

Grass is not always greener ask Bent etc. I can't think of one player that has left sunderland and improved in the last ten fifteen years.
If we went down I would understand it, but Liverpool although a bigger club in name, history, stature are not a big step up if you look at the bigger picture.
We get similar attendances, we have a better stadium, training ground, fans loved him, guaranteed number one.
We are capable of challenging Liverpool for Europa league because they will not get champions league.
Just seems strange with us finally showing ambition.

See If we use the funds to get Rose

Actually toon fan its £11. million £9. million with another couple million in add ons!

Dont forget lads & lasses without Migs we would be in the championship, we need to give him a fantastic reception when he returns with Liverpool.

Liverpool bigger than us as far as history goes? Don't think so. Liverpool only started achieving anything from the 60's. Only a dot in history {Ed001's Note - you ever checked out the history books? Liverpool won their first title in the 1900-01 season, in the 1920s Billy Liddell was leading them to more titles. Long before the 60s, I think you will find Liverpool had won 5 league titles. The myth of nothing being won before the 60s is simply down to the lack of any cups before then, the FA Cup in particular.}

Only posted that Ed so you would get your footy encyclopedia out, because it's quite at present {Ed001's Note - no need for that, I have seen it said so many times on various sites now, it is almost a copy and paste statement! It is quiet, though there are a couple of questions I have left for Ed024, Sunderland are doing their business quickly and fairly quietly. Not much to get the fans really excited, as there is little fanfare, but maybe that will be a good thing? Sometimes big signings come with big expectations and it is difficult for them to live up to them in their first season.}

With all these players leaving what worries me is with virtually a new team hopefully coming in we need to bed all these new players during the pre season otherwise well have a QPR scenrio lots strangers with talent but not a "team". we need these new signings in now not late july early /august !
Agree5
Disagree1
Qprs players were there for the money, they didn't give a hoot about becoming a team.
Agree4

The biggest dissapointment was Samba he was so bad when he returned! his head wasnt right in playing!
Agree1

Bit worrying but hopefully di fanti will bring them in early and the right characters with a good attitude unlike the big ego has beens at qpr. young and looking to prove in the prem
plus paolo to sort them out!
Agree1

Samba was average to poor before he left Blackburn. Any football played under 6 foot and he was terrible

It appears SAFC are in the process of signing Kristoffer Nordfeldt. 24 years old from Sweden has 1 year left on his contract and has a relise clause of 2mil. I'm unsure why as Zoet still looks like signing. Will update if I can find anything more out.
