Ed, I'm not very up with the rumours or transfers so have we bought any poacher-type-strikers or are we interested in any? {Ed024's Note - We've been linked with a few -the most likley contenders at the minute look like - Matej Vydra (Udinese/Watford), Hooper (Celtic), Jozy Altidore (AZ Alkmaar), Jeremie Aliadiere (Lorient) Abel Hernandez (Palermo), but there are sure to other names in the frame over the next few weeks.

Sunderland will replace Simon Mignolet with Celtic's Fraser Forster and James McClean will move the other way as part of the deal.

What I find interesting is Heavily linked Sunderland targets, Abel Hernandez, Jonathan Biabiany, and Alessandro Rosina were on salaries totaling (i. e between them) approximately £27k per week last season. Bardsley was on 31k per week and Bramble was on 40k per week. So yes I can see a lot of sense in this new model with fair play rules.

Migs has gone come on Viv (westwood) step up to the plate and save us a few million so we can spend it on more wages for a few more free transfers.
Rose won't be joining but two more defenders, two midfielders and two strikers will be. Question is who? My guess is that there is very little money to spend, he has to generate his own funds, so expect a few exits (Elmo, cats, Bardsley, sess hope not, and graham). The inns will be:
All under 26, all under 4 mill, and all with a point to prove

Rose was class for us last season but no where near as good as the 10mill asking price mentioned parker is past his best and would reckon his on 60 t 70 k a week about the same wages as milner so be very surprised if we get any of these.

I think he is worth it, Him and Migs were our best players last season, and if we sell Migs at 12m and some people rated him at 15m (Goalkeepers are cheaper than outfield players) I think a young, top quality future England players is worth 8m

It seems SAFC are very close to completing a deal that's gone under the radar. I think this is because they where waiting on the mignolet deal to be finished but it seems Udinese have accepted a 12mil euro bid for Luis Muriel. Lots of websites in Italy are saying we are in advanced talks with the player.
