Is this peruzzi lad any good will, he get 1st team
All iv heard of him is that he kept Neymar really quite in both legs of a cup match, but I don't know if he is consistently like this or he just had a lucky game or 2

Why are people saying unbelievable when it has been revealed on his clubs website?

Reports from france are saying saint-etienne have took up an intrest in sunderland's Stephanne Sessegnon and are considering making a move for him in a swap deal with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang going in the opposite direction. Sunderland have already said they will listen to offers of at least 8.5 million for sessegnon and Aubameyang has had bids of 10million already rejected for him off teams such as anzi, liverpool, PSV, bayer leverkusen, borussia dortmund and apparently even newcastle and PSG. Must be good if them teams were interested in him (of course not the scum) {Ed024's Note - If he has the chance to go to PSV or Dortmund - will consider Sunderland ?}

Can not see it myself, Clubs don't do swap deals these days.

See we have missed out on Andreas Cornelius. Liked the look of him so disappointed to hear he's gone to Cardiff for a reported £7. 5M {Ed024's Note - Sunderland havent been linked with Cornelius since March !! Everton have had a look as well but wouldnt pay as much as £7m}

Mendy doesn't sound too keen on moving here, transcript from todays interview:
What destination would please you the most?
My priority is to move to a club where I have time to play and where the coach will trust me. If it is in France, so much the better. But if it is England, I can not say too bad. The Premier League is the best league in the world. If I find a coach who wants me and that there is real, why not? But it is also interesting to go through a normal course knowing the Ligue 1. Especially when it comes to top club like Lyon or Marseille playing the Champions League. This is something great.
You have been mentioned insistently in Sunderland.
There is nothing yet. Surely there is an agreement between Sunderland and Le Havre. But between Sunderland and me, there is still nothing.

Basically he is saying he wants a champions league fresh club to buy him. If they don't though he might still come and PDC will make sure he gives his all.

Ed eventhough a fee has been agreed for mendy will we still go for orban {Ed024's Note - I would guess so ....Mendy's fee agreed but the player still needs to agree personal terms - in any case it would not be prudent to rely on an 18 year old}

said on here a few weeks ago we would sell mignolet got fee wrong well done management team for sticking out for what we got. mentioned we would hijack the juventus mendy deal and our main deal would be the signing of guidetti from man city this will happen and also our old forward bent would go to skunks also that we have had talks along with Norwich and hull for ross turnbull hull now out of the equation. finally sessagnon will stay unless we get an offer in the region of 8 mill which I think myself is to high.
Believable0
Unbelievable9
Bent won't go to them, if he does he will get tortured

Agree would be gutted if bent went there as I still believe a fully fit bent is as good as any England striker as for the skunks if he was scoring goals he would soon become a fav

Sunderland players to leave:
Bardsley, Cattermole & Elmohamady - £10m - Hull
Sessegnon - £8.5m - Marseille
Ji - £7m - Bayer Leverkusan
Cuellar - £1.5m - Rayo Vallacano
Total of £27m transfer funds will go straight into buying new players for Ellis Short & PDC new look squad.
Which is expected to go towards a new LB, RB, CB, 2 playermakersAttacking Midfielders, 2 Strikers, LW & RW cover in total it is believed PDC has £40m available to him, if he wants more funds he has to sell. As Ellis Short wants value for money & good deals sick of wasting his money on bench warmers. Expect more Bosmans & own heard of players from the EU. Team will be build on the same model has Udinese so a lot of young talent,. Will be an interesting 201314 season.
Ha'way the Lads skulking up the league where we should be in the top 10 & make it all the sweeter to finish above our neighbours up the road. And would be nice to see the smoggies up in the top flight again the following season.

Sessegnon is valued at between £8-£16m, but because he has had his head turned in the past, and is not totally committed to the team and usually family situation wanting to go back to France. Only reason he has stayed at the club is because of management wanting him to stay and excepting his demands. But PDC is a different position all together, he see it has, if the player is not giving his all for the club he represents, Then he is no good for the team or the moral of the whole squad. So that is why PDC is prepared to listen to offers. Even if it is at the lower end of his valuation.
Agree8
Disagree1
I agree that Sess es head hasn't been at the club despite him saying he is happy. obviously he's not!
Agree5
Disagree0
Ed is it just me or would we be lucky to gt 2 million for ji? where has 7 come from? {Ed024's Note - I agree £7M is unlikely but he has impressed while in Germany and there is talk of a bidding war - £3-4M is more likley.}
Agree2

Ji fee is around 2.5 mill to dortmund

''Sessegnon is valued at between £8-£16m''

Ji is wanted for around 4m but a likely bidding war up the price

Ji will be sold for around 3-4m me thinks, 7m hope so more for PDC.

Hi every one. Been following this site for couple of years, but I have to say this transfer window has got me very excited. The thing is that there have been radical changes in the system the club worked. So if Sunderland don't win any thing this year or couldn't even get to top ten then we shouldn't be disappointed. Patience is the key to all this because PDC is thinking long term, which is a very good thing but it will take a few seasons to fall in place. Whatever the team does next season just get behind the Manager and the Owner because by the looks of it these two want to make SAFC a stable premier league club which as fans we always wanylted
Believable12
Unbelievable2
Totally agree mate.
My expectations are not too high.
I am over the moon with some of the younger players coming in too. This shows that a long term strategy is in operation. don't be confused by quantity versus quality, these are two tier signings.
I still remain hopeful for a much higher position next season but will be happy enough if I see steady progress.
Cant wait for Fulham game.
Agree6
Disagree2
We could find ourselves in a similar position as Villa last season with so many youngsters, Its getting the balance right with the young and older professionals.
Agree6
Disagree1
We would without doubt have been in another relegation battle if the squad had remained the same.
At least with a new squad, we have a chance of improving on where we finished last season.
I am probably being optomistic but my glass is full at the moment.
A lot more signings to come and some of them are very exciting prospects.

Gardner
Larsson
Colback
Cuellar
Vaughan
Westwood

Larsson has become a bit of a liability and not even his set pieces are doing anything for us
I'd keep vaughan, westwood, cuellar and colback

I personally think those lot are all decent squad players, but none bar possibly Colback have the potential to really maintain a place in the team if we are going to become better
