Don't think Poyet is the man for the job would rather have Kevin Ball or even Gary Owers, Stefan Schwarz, Alex Rae, John Kay, Richard Ord or even Paul Brackwell than him.

{Ed024's Note - You cant just list ex players - we need an experienced top flight manager}

Poyet isn't an experienced top flight manager though ed, if bally does well against liverpool then I'd be very tempted to give him the job as already after his few interviews think he could be the answer love the way he comes across, no harm in giving him ago

{Ed024's Note - I don't think Poyet is the answer - given what we need I'd go for Pullis.}

I would love to see Ray Wilkins in charge. english. top bloke football genius. well respected. best coach chelski ever had. can't believe he not been asked or even mentioned

Agree4 Disagree3

Ed, I think you are talking about our defence in which case I agree

Agree2 Disagree0

My point was Poyet has not got the experience ie may has well give it to Kevin Ball or an ex Sunderland Player at least they would give it there all and I personally think Kevin Ball would do a better job than Poyet.
Listening to most fans they would rather have an English Manager like Ray Wilkin, Steve Bould, Mike Phelan, Steve Round, someone even said place Peter Reid in the post.

Agree0 Disagree2

If wilkins was a football genius, surely he would of been managing somebody else by now

Agree2 Disagree1

What experience has ball got in the prem?

Agree2 Disagree0

Who has? I could manage the current squad and stay up! Pulis or Allardyce couldn't as we do not have enough six foot plus players. Few managers have Prem. management experience when they are appointed. It helps if managers have played in the Prem. and learned their coaching and playing skills at that level. Harry Redknapp has just said what a good job Steve McClaren has done at QPR. Because of his England experience supporters are forgetting that Boro won the League Cup. Poyet is a good tactician and manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree mate but at least Kevin Ball has been coaching for Sunderland for 10 yr. Knows the clubs inside out and managed the reserves and academy players. So Ball in my opinion is a better choice than Poyet. Only coach at Sunderland who has more experience and could do the job is Ged McNamee.
