I totally agree with Mr. Mackem, don't really rate Rolando would much rather see Van Dijk in the safc shirt but we need to get a centre half in and quick!

Rolando for me before Van Dijk. But good CB players we are linked with which is a lot better than the recent flops/nobodies we have been signing the last few seasons at CB

surely means we have someone coming in before we can agree to that. brown, o'shea and vergini as a last resort? isn't even near good enough

That would be the only down side. Vergini could but then his spot is has no backup and we end up with another WBA situation where half the squad is playing out of position. Hopefully there's time to get someone else. Probably not, though.

Diakite has had his contract canceled. Fingers crossed there clearing them out so two quality centre backs can come in.

We must have someone coming in, Gus couldn't risk letting him go so close to the end of the transfer window without been able to get a Centre Half in to replace him, hopefully its Virgil Van Dijk. anyone got any updated news on any signings coming in?

It looks like we've got Alvarez in the bag I doubt we'll get Van Dijk or Alderweireld never mind both, but I hope i'm wrong. Thoughts?

G_hewitson, I am glad with the Alvarez signing he is good player and done really well at Inter Milan, van Dijk looks promosing as only us and Southampton are after him but Southampton are using van Dijk as a back up target if they don't get there main centre half so if we act quick enough we should get him, fingers crossed!

There has been a lot of people saying we have signed Alvarez but there has been no confirmation about on it on ssn or anything like that . Hope we do sign him!
