Di Canio still looks to bring in another forward to have more options up front. My sources tell me that former Benfica- and Blackburn striker Nuno Gomes is seen as an alternative. Ageing but proven goalscorer who would be available for free since he`s unattached.

Funny thing is, if he signed for us he'd be useless/pathetic/not good enough, but if he signed for them, pow zoom world class to the moon.

I`m just passing on what information is given to me. Apparently Di Canio is keen to bring in an experienced striker to guide the younger players. A deal is looking more and more likely. His wages was, at one point, a hurdle. It now seems to be sorted out though, with a 2-year deal mentioned. While at Benfica, Gomes was one of Di Canio`s favorite strikers, and he`s never hidden the fact that one day he would love to work with him.

Krul is better than Mannone and Westwood. Coloccini is better than O'Shea and Cuellar. Debuchy and Santon are better full backs than Colback and Bardsley. Papiss Cisse has a better strike rate in the Prem than Fletcher.

I fail to see that only Cabaye and Ben Arfa would get into your first team.

I'm a mackem but its a bit early for talk like that. Time will tell who has the better squad. Krul, cabaye, collocini and both newcastles full backs would get in our team. Also Ben arfa if FIT.

I originally game on to say that you have probably got Rose, Coentrao agreed deal apparently with us and we don't really rate him

Why would we want collo tiote debuchy or santon who is the worst left back in the premiership and play in defence for a team who conceded 68 goals last season

The only Sunderland player that would get in our team is possibly Fletcher, maybe Sess if he was shoved out on the left wing. That is it.

Players like Obertan and Marveaux would walk in to the Sunderland team, and shine in it too. Players that cannot get a game with us.

Infact I would go so far as to say if you removed our first 11 from the equation and used the rest of the squad, our players could still make up the majority of a combined team.

Nice last post that mate when we play you next season I recommend you play your 2nd 11 as look what we did to your so called team of superstars 0-3
