Looks like Sunderland have warped up deals for diakite roberge cable and Ba just waiting till July to confirm the signings all on free transfers. Today Sunderland have also had a deal confirmed for RW krasic and have made a bid Of 5.5mil for insigne. Looks like a busy summer for Di Canio.

The Black Cats are moving quickly to strengthen a squad that Paolo Di Canio believes is not fit for purpose, and have already virtually tied up deals for Cabral, Roberge and Le Havre midfielder El-Hadji Ba. It emerged from Portugal yesterday that Roberge turned down interest from Valencia and Marseille to sign for Sunderland. They are understood to have an interest in Andreas Weimann of Aston Villa and Vitesse Arnhem’s Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony. The emphasis on Continental targets is a reflection of a new recruitment policy that is sure to be followed up by new chief scout Valentino Angeloni, who is set to join Sunderland from Inter Milan over the summer.

Looks like Sunderland are set to sign 4 bosmons in Mobido Diakite, Valentin Roberge, El Hadji Ba and
Adilson Tavares Varela "Cabral" in the coming weeks. Sunderland also look to be winning the race for Milos Krasic only thing that could stop the deal is the €2.3 million-a-year deal he is supposedly currently on at Fenerbahce, which sunderland will not match.

Ed I was wondering how likely this insigne deal is? I've assumed it's all rumours and unlikely. {Ed024's Note - I'd be surprised if he left Napoli - said he was staying earlier this month - he's had a chunk of time out on loan but I think Napoli see him as one for the future. }
