I'm slightly concerned now about the recruitment of our next manager. There are a few 'Ex' managers now coming out and eventually making comments that are worrying.

Roy Keane has basically said "If they left me alone and stopped interfering then I would probably still be manager" If it goes that far back then we really do have massive problems at high levels within the club.

Big Sam - Not for me personally but he will do a job and will probably keep us in the Premier League. Is he a long term solution, probably not, in which case he should be discarded as we need stability and a manager who will be at the club for at least 5 years.

Director of Football. There is nothing wrong with this model as long as there are strict lines in place stating who carries out what role. However, a lot of managers these days want to go back to the 'Old Fashioned' set up so we as a club might need to amend our current structure to attract the best candidate.

If I was Ellis Short I would pick up the phone to Sir Alex Ferguson and ask him to consult on restructuring the club to try and get the right infrastructure in place.

At this stage I have no idea who will make the nest appointment and I will, even if it is Big Sam, back them as I have done all previous.

Finally, as others have stated, whoever comes in needs to look at our U21 squad and start integrating them into the first team. Robson at LB, Gooch and Watmore are all pushing and should just be fully blooded.
