If by Japanese you mean south Korean sure, either way he's played in the premiership and has some experience, in the face of not getting the player he wants he's at least a decent option for now.

Ki was the third best passer of the ball in the prem last season, he had a score of 93% completion. & by the way he is South korean not Japanese.
