Why not take a chance on Jordan Rhodes? Raw & inexperienced but rather take a chance with him than pay too much for a mercenary, who's looking for a final pay day, I say give him a chance

did you have a mercenary in mind? agree about Rhodes although would prefer someone proven if I am being honest 12 or so mil is a lot to spend on 'raw and inexperienced'. Look at the 8 mil we spent on wickham. can easily back fire.

Austin won't come,love him to, but won't happen. Rhodes is quick to learn & from defoe there could be a partner ship.We still need a goalscoring midfielder(Dembele?) who can give regular 10/15 goals a season. If not we will struggle again.

my fear is that campbell and rhodes could turn out to be another altidore and stead! rhodes is 25, hardly that raw and hungry surely. borini would probably be a better investment. talking of a 10-15 goal midfielder needed, i would even settle for a ten goal striker!

dembele is not a goal scoring midfielder. good player but not sure his goalscoring record is that good tbh. agree Austin won't come and I don't no why but I don't really want Rhodes he will cost too much and is too risky with his lack of prem experience. I hate borini for the fact he pied us off a couple of summers ago. the striker hunt will be interesting though.
