I don, t mean to be a doom and gloom merchant on here, I try to be realistic. Yesterday was still poor, better than the last two games but still poor. If swansea had took their chances it would have been a heavy defeat. But it could be a a turning point for us if we get 3 quality players in. Two issues that I can, t get my head round are this ffp rules. We suposedly can, t sign anyone because we are near our limit but we give wes brown a new contract, who we don't need. Mavrias and roberge are still pulling big money, who should be paid off and contracts ripped up. Which would get us away from the ffp limit and to sign some quality. Secondly, italian newspapers say we want 2mill for giachy, what a financial loss that would be. Also, how could we replace him for 2mill? Play the man, he is quality.

you say Swansea had chances but the fact is they didn't take them. we had a clear penalty not awarded which means we probably would have won the game. Swansea failed to win because of their failure to finish when we had the chance taken out of our hands. agree it was not the best but an improvement. people are apparently saying no to us if people on here are to be believed. so I am not sure ffp is the only issue maybe we aren't attractive enough

I don't think ffp is the only reason that players won't come. But as you say FTM if we are at the ffp limit we could not sign them even if they wanted to come. Surely it would make financial sense to pay off players who are deemed surplus to our requirements. Then we could replace them with quality that will keep us in the prem where the revenue will far out weigh the total figure we paid to get rid of the deadwood. Also FTM, Look at yesterdays stats. They had so much more possesion more shots etc. But we ground a draw out.

I concede Swansea were better but didn't take there chances. if you don't take your chances you have to admit you don't deserve to win. we had the chance to win taken away from us by not getting a clear penalty. we have to be considered slightly unlucky?

Can you please explain how paying up players contracts evades ffp rules?

Arca 33, I was under the impression that if a players wages were off the books it gives us that amount of money to put towards another players wages. Without going over the limit imposed on us. A dead mans boots scenario. I could be wrong, the rules are quite complex. Blackburn fell foul of them.
