the scum think they have got a good deal in cabaye big signing why would he leave a team in champions league to play for a team who will never get into europe obviously he is surplus to requirement at lille and if he was any good why not a top team sign him and pay him more wages as he won't be on more than 20k under the fat controller in command

Agent Bruce has done a good job. Spent millions on dross, so much so that he is not willing to cough up anymore money. This means that you must sell your 'best' players (Bent/Henderson/ and probably Gyan) to fund future purchases.

I'm no fan of Mike Ashley, but if you would give 2 nearly 30 year olds (one with a chequered past that has only really had 1 good season, and the other seemingly slowing every game) a 5yr contract then I'm glad your not in charge.
Lets see what happens before the start of the season. I think a lot of people will be shocked with what the Toon have up their sleeves.
