Great article by Danny Rose on SSN. He is happy to be first choice now but will not accept being a back up layer at spurs. If Spurs bring in a new LB he would come to SAFC as we gave him the chance to play week in week out. This would be permanent and not loan tho.

Spurs openly chasing Coentrao from Real Madrid. I still have a sneeky feeling he could be at Sunderland come Sept 2nd. We must be at least monitoring the situation.

Never mind PDC saying he wants English players in the spine of the team. Will we have any British players in the team come the closing of the transfer window?
Maybe its time for a change past 6 seasons in the prem most of our players have been britsih and there's been little improvement ill be happy if we are in top 10 and our only brits are O'Shea Brown Johnson Westwood etc

Danny Rose has just said on Sky Sports News that if he is not first choice for Spurs then he wants to leave and also said he'd love to play for Sunderland again, so I am praying they sign Coentrao cause I'd love to see Danny back in the red and white stripes!
