First time post here. I think we all need to reflect and take stock over what has happened since the season start. Whilst I agreed with the approach to modernise the mentality within the club clearly PDC needed to do this carefully and with the support of ALL players within the club. This is a difficult job at any club given the individual personalities present at any club today. For me the approach was not right, (public criticism) and I guess PDC will hopefully learn from this and move on.
Now we have a new manager in Gus Poyet. We need stability at this club to bring any element of success so let's give him a chance. I understand he likes to play the ball on the ground - a good recipe for any successful team. So please let's get behind the team, we need points and soon, -i'm sure we will stay in the Premiership and hopefully we can bring in some new faces in January to replace some of the continual non performers.

That post is 100% right.
I don't disagree but as someone who normally looks at football and sunderland with a level head I find the regular guard nothing short of a disgrace to the club in terms of the lack of heart/fight/willingness to learn/to listen and i'm referring to the likes of vaughan, larsson, gardner, o'shea, wickham, bardsley, westwood, johnson (who has the heart and bravery of john oster). i'm not referring to on field effort but there's also a requirement off the field to adapt and improve and taking into account wages and initial outlay i'm sorry but they don't seem fit to wear our shirt. I'll get slaughtered for this but I think the man utd game supports it, should have scored 3 by half time and then buckled and mentally when to pot, man utd were poor and we made it v easy for them to come back and win the league, everyone applauds them at the end for 'effort' and they think they then have the right to tell everyone who cares to listen how much they love the club. Sorry but I have no pride in them, giaccherini and altidore have already shown them up in my opinion.
I could not agree more they are a disgrace to the shirt let alone club I liked pdc's attitude of fitness and mentality his man management skills let him down but they did the same to roy keane when he tried to instill discipline in a bunch of over paid under performers the new faces at the club are showing signs of more pride and definitely putting a shift in
for me roberge ki and giaccherini have been excellent I want to see more of cabral and mavrias
from the old lot Cattermole and colback have been outstanding the rest mediocre in my opinion
Footballers these days want the money, not the pride/history or the great fan base of a particular club.
