If Wigan lose against arsenal we stay up

1)Keep mignolet and Danny rose
2)Get rid of half the team, (cueller, Killgalon, bramble, Vaughan, Gardner, mcClean, Ji, graham)
3)buy: Rose, Diakite, Roberge, Abdoulay Konko, Erik lamela, Sulley Muntari, Gudietti.

I see you would keep Bardsley- who has had a dreadful season which was not be redeemed by his lucky strike against Southampton, and Catts, who has been stunningly unimpressive and typically irresponsible when fit. Gardner has contributed more than these two put together, and Vaughan, like Wickham, has been given little chance. Meanwhile McClean- I can't think of a Championship team he could get into, and that would include us if that is where we end up next season- and Graham have been given constant opportunities to remind us how useless they are and what clueless management we have that would keep picking such donkeys. Only Rose and Mignolet have consistently met expectations, the rest have rarely reached the heights of average, and it is clear many of them never will. What we need most is someone who can organise and motivate them on the pitch- it seems we can't find managers able to do that so we need to look for a player who can. So instead of dreaming about players we can't get, I would make Shawcross or Dawson a priority if we stay up, and maybe Chris Brunt or try to persuade Phil Neville that he has a year left in him if we go down.

You're not going to have a major clearout, you won't go on a transfer frenzy either.

Bardsley=poor season yes, that's because of injury, was our best player past few seasons
Cattermole=will become a great captain and player under Di Canio
Vaughan= getting old
Gardner= won't get into the team under Di Canio now
There are your answers mate, my opinion, people may disagree, they are allowed to, but this is who I think

Di Canio has said he will change everything at Sunderland
Dunno if he means transfers or just the way the players play and change tactics or something

Agree totally, what a waste of money. Throw Wickham in with him too, they are the worst "strikers" ever to play in red and white stripes. We simply must get rid of them off the wage bill. Boatload of others as well, most are just losers, hope Paolo sorts them out for next season as these players are taking us backwards. Chris-s.

Why did we sign him?, why not just keep ji or Campbell or even saha.

He does try he is a workhorse but he is gash.

Wickham has not shown any potential at all. I know his chances have been limited but to me looks like he is totally overated. As for a future England no 9 well, it sounds like you are the donkey, but he-haw I am not as rude to other posters even when I don't agree with their opinion. Chris-s.

No, the other guy is right
He has had no chances at Sunderland
But with England he has been phenomenal and has earned him a spot in the U21 euro squad

I'm surprised that taarabt and odemwingie haven't been mentioned. Great players that both want to leave. Taarabt could let us play a 4-5-1 with him and sess in can then ndiaye CD and Johnson and a new winger out wide with fletcher, wickham or guidetti up front on their own. Odemwingie has the pace needed in this squad so he could be an option too

Taraabt is to much of a liability
Odemwingie, old and I never really rated him
I think we should go for Nacer Chadli from FC Twente, very good LM
