Watch Graham take out their number 13 ( I think it's 13) to let Sess in with his shot

In answer to Steven Taylor's question of how many Sunderland players would get in to the Newcastle team - is the answer - all of them? Sami Diglit 'still laughing' in Whitley Bay.

When's the dvd of your famous cup final win coming out then?

just watched six of the best and all our goals were on has this ever happened to any team before lads everyone was class

Believable2 Unbelievable0

They just got better. For anyone that watches soccer am I think vaughan's goal will be tekkers this week. I didn't think sess or vaughan had scored at first. Safc93

Loved pardwhose face when he thought theyd scored fists up staring at the chosen one then oh no he's offside

Agree1 Disagree0

You just said Vaughan would be an unbelievable tekker

Agree2 Disagree0

Brilliant strike!. how many supporters have taped/ recorded the third goal and the after celebrations with the players and manager in the scrum and played it over and over and over and over again!. I have!

Craig Gardener travelled on the train and was in the stand singing with the fans. that is a true footballer turned fan. hugely impressed with that!

Heart on his sleeves. The whole squad we're celebrating like true fans yesterday. Safc93

Well now the Champions league/world cup/premier league table have been won, let's all get back to reality. BOTH teams are still right in the mire and this result only means something if relegation is avoided.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

The sight of the players celebrating with the gaffa after David Vaughns stunning strike will be etched on mine and many Sunderland supporters for years too come. brilliant picture that!

Agree5 Disagree0

Weve lacked confidence lately and you need that for the run in whoever you play! Everton are a good side but if we go into the match like this one well give them a shock!

Agree5 Disagree0

I remember the last time we played everton at the sol there was huge expectancy, lots of confidence as we were on a great run and a full house. Result we were well and truly turned over so excuse me if I don't share your confidence.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry pal it was actually a 1-1 draw. Howard Webb (!) awarded them a penalty when Osman clearly tripped himself by kicking the turf instead of the ball. They equalised from the spot a Colback goal in a game we should have won. And not quite a sell out, 43,000

Apart from that everything else you said was correct!

Newcastle fan here! Although it pains me to say safc were excellent yesterday and I now think with the confidence gained you will stay up!
Don't really care if cisse was onside we didn't deserve anything from that game. Tbh we were outclassed playing and tactically! Just hope we can avoid the drop because derby days are special and shame on the persons trashing thier own city!

A humbled mag!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Thanks for being honest, both teams still in it but I'd say you lot have the worse run of games especially without your best keeper. Good luck. Safc93

Krul will be a big miss for the Toon!. I don't rate Elliot at all!

Well can I just say well done Sunderland fully deserved the win but deserved it to be about 5-6 nil. We were shocking! Your players were amazing every single one of them. We should of had atleast 1 red card tbh. I can see di canio becoming one of the best bpl managers.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Thanks very much hope we play each over nex season

Just looking at the run in for us and Noocarsel. We have 3 at home Everton, Stoke and Southampton, and 2 away Villa and Spurs. On the other hand Noocarsel have 2 at home Liverpool, and Arsenal, and 3 away West Brom, West Ham and QPR. Now with their away record and possibly no points from home games, I think I know which run in I would prefer and it is not Noocarsels. Chris-s.

Just watched the game again and you know who really impressed me - Danny Graham, no wonder he was knackered at the end. He should have had one, possibly two penalties and his work defensively from corners was superb. Great running off the ball to help create space, for Sess in particular. He might not have scored but he put in a mighty performance.

Agree6 Disagree0

What a result - Well done lads! Would have messaged earlier but just stopped laughing at Steven Taylor - Oh Steven you do amuse!

Agree4 Disagree0

Though Sess had his best game in a Sunderland shirt! he was unmarkable, Graham was excellent and as I've been saying all season David Vaughn should be in the starting line up in every game. creative skilful and scores spectacular goals! is that the goal of the season?

Agree3 Disagree0

Yes, all that's missing is the big hoop round his pants, the red nose and a spinning bow-tie. HaHa.

watched the v the police after we tore them a new orifice. hope the courts really go to toon on them especially the muppet who punched a police horse. cannot think of any other teams supporters who behave like that just because they lost a derby. Safc last win there was 2000 so its not like we batter them every year. let's hope Safc win there for the next 13 years and they demolish the whole city bit by bit because they cannot take a loss against us.
Best supporters in the country!!. I think not

Not a Sunderland fan, well not until yesterday anyway. Paolo Di Canio whilst a devisive character certainly is entertaining when it comes to football. He's clearly intelligent and wants to play good football. He's got a passion that I think almost no other manager in the PL, or any other league (except Billly Davis of course) has and isn't afraid to show it. Hope you survive and continue entertaining with good football like was played yesterday. Hope he will become a great manager for you that sticks two fingers up to the establishment that has become dull over the years. As a Forest fan, we once had a manager that stuck two fingers up to to the establishment and joined us at a time that was truly lowly and the rest they say is history.

Good luck for the season. Sunderland my new 2nd team. I think you'll win many new fans with that type of football played yesterday that is led by a character that people are genuinly interested in.

Forest fan in China.

We need charactors like PDC in the game. his celebration paticullaly after Vaughn and Johnsons goals is what this game needs!
